Pros:

It doesn't bleach clothing, etc.
Affordable
If used in the form of gel; like with Duac, very successful.

Cons:

The lotion is very runny. The Duac will bleach clothing and does dry out the skin.

Clindamycin in the form of gel is great. Heals pimple right away.

Pros:

well, i've only been using this for about a week, but i've seen a good difference to the overall texture of my skin. I don't have a single big zit...just a few small drying ones and my blackheads. You can use this during the day!

Cons:

can be a bit drying, but my skin handles it perfectly. over time I have a feeling I will become resistant to it

I'm brand new to the stuff, so can't say much yet. When I woke up this morning, I saw my SKIN. I actually thought to myself---wow look at how beautiful my skin is, it has such a great tone! but then of course you get into bad lighting somewhere else and all those post-acne red marks scream at you when you take a look in the mirror. When i got a facial about a week ago, the lady said I actually have really pretty and nice skin--under neath the acne and marks. This morning, I actually beleived her. I pray this stuff keeps working!

Product used: Evoclin (Clindamycin (1%) Foam)

Pros:

I can't believe how well it worked! Reduced redness by nearly 50%. Helps with existing pimples as well as wards off new ones.

Cons:

A bit of a burning feeling and my face did get red but settled down within minutes.

I am a late in life acne sufferer and was facing the whole Accutane "do I or don't I" question. I was basically running out of options. My doc gave me a sample of this miracle in a can and gave me hope. If you are given this treatment as an option, take it. If you aren't ask for it. It really works.

Pros:

It cleardupmy skin worked well and then when i ranout my acne came back ...

Cons:

I had no acne but very oily skin

Give it a try if you have very bad acne it will work

Pros:

Works well to prevent pimples from maturing if used immediately after noticing formation of pimple

Cons:

not good for people with oily skin

Pros:

smooths out skin, shrinks size of pimples and dries them up, the lotion works the best!

Cons:

small bottle, runs out quickly, the gel doesn't work as well

My PCP gave me this when I was a bit younger and I was having mild break outs. He gave me Cleocin T. The first time I got it filled and it was the name brand, the second time it was the generic. Usually, I don't mind generic. But when it comes down to this stuff you NEED the name brand.

Pros:

Easily absorbed,works efficiently.

Cons:

I have dry skin,makes it even drier.

Clingard is a skin saver and a definate keeper. It made my skin better. Just that i needed to use a good moisturizer,coz it tendds to make your skin dry.

Pros:

I use the climdamycin 1% gel and so far its been working pretty well. The tiny bumps on my skin are going away and it didn't dry me out.

Cons:

The first week my skin got worse as more pimples came out and it was dry.

My skin clarity has improved and the tiny bumps on my chin are gone! It is very affordable with insurance!

i got immune to this antibiotic quicker than any other that i have taken. although the side effects (STARVING ALL THE TIME! stomach cramps.. gas) were manageable, they sucked. taking 3 pills a day was a pain too.
