NO DRYNESS
I've been using BP for a couple if days now, it's early to tell if I'm getting results even though I think I am, but I'm not experiencing any type of dryness, irritation, flakiness.. at the point that it feels useless to apply moisturizer. Guess I'm lucky!

Always add a moisturizer, your skin may begin to dry out over time

my son just used if for 3 days. he has stopped using it because the mouth area where he applied the lotion has become reddish and painful. now he finds a little difficulty to open his mouth as though the skin is tight. he keeps saying it's painful.

Saved my face!
Adult acne struck the sides of my face to the point of embarrassment. Washing my face in order: Cera Vu, this product with a Clarisonic brush.. what a difference! Oh and a lot of prayer! Thank God it's calmed down. 9 months of struggling to find a solution, even oral medication. Give this a try!

great
my skin is super sensitive and I've never been able to use a moisturizer. BP works great to get rid of my acne but leaves you so dry. I used the cleanser and treatment from Dan for awhile and my skin was.....it just looked like my face was a pile of dandruff. but it did clear me up! I buy this 3 step system at walmart. I don't use the cleanser, I do use the toner once a day because it has an aha and I still get dry flaky skin but this BP lotion makes it much better. usually I only get dry around my mouth and just try to avoid applying it around there unless I breakout. I have also used brand name proactiv and like this better. it has less scent and the ingredients are exactly the same, even the inactive ones. this one is a bit thinner than the original and leaves less of a shine on my skin, so I prefer that too. I would definitely pick this stuff up. for 12 bucks, it's worth it, even if you just are buying it for the third step.

Saved my life!!
(BTW I have oily skin) In the summer of 2016, my acne got so bad, so quickly. I had to find a facial routine before the school year started, so I picked up this cleanser at Walgreens. It is honestly the best acne treatment I've ever used, and that includes acne prescription drugs. This cleanser healed up my acne amazingly. Iv'e been using this cleanser every night for about 3 months now. It didn't totally clear my acne, but it's A LOT better than it was. This cleanser is very dependable. If you're looking to use this cleanser, just something to keep in mind: It stings. I don't recommend you keep it on your face for more than 90 seconds. Just apply it all on your face, rub it in, focusing of the problem areas. This cleanses is not gentle, thats why i loved it so much. I'm very tired of all these companies making "gentle, soothing exfoliants & cleansers" like, no, i don't want 'gentle' i want something that works!

Miracle product
I have struggled with adult cystic acne for years now, and this product has completely cleared up my acne. When I make poor dietary mistakes (dairy is a huge trigger for me), it still keeps things at bay and they never flare up to the point of pain or even discomfort. Carley's always stays on top of their research and development and they are always coming out with new products. Follow the directions exactly and use a washcloth with natural soap to clean the acne wash after using it.

Great product!!
This product is great it treats almost all acne! even big cystic ones too ( i don't normally get those) but anyways, there are downsides to a bit 1. YOU WILL FLAKE i mean i flake still and i'm on week 6 of regmine idk if im not moisturizing well enough but i switched moisturizers to cera-ve it's great but i still flake even though i feel hydrated. 2. You get irritated at first but that passes within like 2 weeks of being on it. That's about all the biggest problem i have about this is the flaking, that's the biggest problem i have so far. (can someone recommended to help me with flaking thanks =D ). But, this product is great you'll love just don't give up easy stick through with it and you'll love the results, i already love the results of mine :).

Work Horse
I use the Proactiv Three Step System, but I think the Repairing Lotion is probably the most important step. I used this for 8 months with terrific results. Then I went off of it because I stopped taking the medication that was making me break out. Unfortunately, I'm on a new medication that plays with my hormones, so I'm breaking out again. I pulled this out and it's working like a charm. My bumps are shrinking, and I'm way less oily. I expect to be blemish free in about 5 weeks.

made my skin worse
I been using the regimen for one month already and my acne is getting worse. My skin got very dry and started to peel a lot . It looks ugly when i try to cover up the dryness and peeling. I reduced the application to using it every other day hope it works. I have dry skin as well so maybe this will not work for me either. Im so turned off by this product that made my skin worse than it already was.

You need to read everything on this site... are you using it as its written on instructions? Its normal that you are peeling....

You have to stick it out and use the AHA when your skin is ready!

I had to do the same thing because my skin was getting extremely dry and painful. I only used it for 3 weeks because my acne got so much worse.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
