Love it
Only thing that's worked for my acne. I've tried Pro-Activ (which did work until I hit my 20's), Neutralyze, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, Cerave, Acne.Org, etc. You name it, I've tried it. This is the only thing that's worked for me so far. It is not as drying as the Acne.Org regimen; and the lotion you can use (Soothe Step 3) is amazing. A little bit goes a long way (and that's saying a lot, since I live in northern Canada where it's still winter) I stand by this product so much that I am now a consultant. I want to share my success and help others with their acne struggles, because I know how frustrating it is.

Stay well clear!
Zero Stars - my daughter used this for two days and it looked like it had burnt her skin and her spots became so much worse! When I contacted the customer advice I was told it was for over 18s and had I seen a doctor first! There are no warnings on the packaging re age and if I need a prescription to buy this why is it for sale in a mainstream store? I found the comments made not empathetic and my daughter is now refusing to go out anywhere! I cannot stress how awful this product is! Do not use!

Benzac 5% Holy Grail
I got oily and sensitive skin. I'm using benzac 5% for my pimples in my forehead and backacne. Yes, it is true when you apply it on the forehead, it quite itchy, maybe trying to penetrate and kill the bacteria on the skin. For the Ist week, only few improvements, the sizes of my pimples are decreasing and not too swollen on my forehead.. I used it for a month for my backacne, it exfoliates or removes the dead skin. I didn't expect, my skin lightens no longer dark spots and acne. I believe continued use the product, you will see better results. I'm still using it till now especially if I have breakouts.

New Formula
The product ingredients have changed, (March 2018) it no longer includes glycolic acid. It has a different consistency and bleachy odor. I LOVED this product and am so dissapointed!! Any recommendations for a product that is similar?

I am also disappointed with the new product.

i found the older wash at cvs behind the boxes that said "new formula" i decided to try that first to see if the old formula is better, been using it for a week, i've seen improvements on my shoulders. i hope the new formula works just as well

Try Acne Foaming Wash from the Walgreens brand. It’s supposed to be compared with the old Panoxyl and has glycolic acid. It also has the pasty consistency of the old formula. Hope it helps.

Effective for breakouts not blackheads
I used to have major breakouts in my T-Zone, but with continuous use of this product and following the acne.org regimen I got rid of my acne. Now I rarely get breakouts, and even when I do get a pimple it will go away within a week or two. I really do love this product, and there is no better deal out there on the internet for benzoyl peroxide. One note: This product did not help with my blackheads, but overall my skin appearance is much better.

Amazng result!
I've tried lots of products but this one got my attention. My friend told me to use this product, at first I don't beleive her because I am so discourage about the expensive products that I used. But last month i gave a shot and bammm! It works very well. The result is only 1 week I saw the difference. My acne are slowly fading and also scars, but expect a peeling and tingling sensation. So far I am happy and contented with these products acne.org regimen is the best. Try it for yourself and see how it goes!

Love it!!
I have been using the Unblemish regimen for 30 days now. Since day one, my skin feels phenomenal!! So clean and smooth feeling! I've seen a huge improvement in my acne over the past few weeks. I'm sure glad I didn't have horrible results like all the bad reviews on here.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
