Cons:

This product is very expensive and made my much worse.

this prouct is aweful. The products that are available from the company are all expensive. I used the product for over 3 months and all it did was made my acne way worse and made my entire face very uncomfortable. Then the company states that you can return the items and get a full refund, THAT'S NOT TRUE. When I sent the new months "non opened" bottles back stating that I was returning the new nonused proudcts back because it was making my acne worse they only refunded my $19.95 back when I paid $45.00 for the products. I wrote the company telling them that they refunded me the incorrect amount inwhich they stated that's what the return dept had in the computer so that's all that I was getting refunded back to me.

Pros:

Cleared my acne in 2 days!!!!! Doesn't sting like most acne products. Works VERY well. Didn't dry up my skin!

Cons:

As far as I'm concerned there aren't any.

Nothing else would work for my face. I tried Stridex, noxema, clean and clear, even proactiv wouldn't work for my face! This is the best! GO GET SOME NOW!!!!! What have you got to lose except acne?!

Pros:

It makes your skin clean, and clears up pimples pretty good. It makes your skin soft, and you don't have anymore blackheads after using it for 3-4 days.

Cons:

The cleanser is extremely gritty. It stings your skin and tears up whiteheads. It gave me a horrible allergic reaction. My eyes got puffy, and my skin was red and itchy for 2-3 days. That only happened because i used alittle too much, I think!

I only recommend this product if you have occasional pimples that are bigger. This product only helps if you have alot of smaller pimples also. I have a mix of medium, and smaller sized pimples. I really didn't give the product any time at all to work it's "magic". Anyway, this is the deal with what happened to me and my expierience with Proactiv. I used it for like a week and a few days and it made my pimples worse. My mom got me the trial size and when i was half way done with the bottles, (that were horrificly small!) I threw the product out. I decided I HATED Proactiv. Then, the product got shipped to my house again this month and I tried it again. I got a reaction as you all know... so I stopped using it for 3 days. It cleared up most of my skin before that horrific reaction! People don't understand that if a product doesn't work for someone, and they say that their product will... it really hurts. I makes you just want to give up all hope. But don't. Just try Proactiv and see!

Pros:

Slight improvement in my skin's texture

Cons:

Causes more pimples and darkens existing pimple marks. This product has ruined my skin for life!!!

This product sucks. I used to have only mild acne, especially around my period. Now I'm getting these huge pimples on my cheeks and even if i don't touch them they leave a mark. It also seems to have darkened all of my existing pimple marks. It dries my skin so much so that I'm actually peeling, and i have this combination of dry, flaky skin with the occassional oil-filled pimple...disgusting!!! I've used this product for 2 months and I can honestly say that my skin now is worse than before. I'm going back to live in the Middle East in December, which means I will be in the sun all the time. I have olive skin, and tan very well and I never burn, but I'm afraid after using this product (which I heard makes your skin sensitive to the sun) that I will get sunburnt, even with sunblock. And of course, that means that my marks will be darker than before. And I'm also worried (according to what I've read here), that if I stop using it i will break out even more than before. So I'm screwed...

Pros:

it worked really well and it reduced the amount of breakouts on my face and gave a really good progress day by day it this product reduced the amount of acne and even if there were breakouts they'd be cleared up soon.

Cons:

well the night lotion made my face stiff..

Bottom line is that this product is helpful it reduces the amount of breakouts even though the product could feel uncomforting.

Pros:

This product is great. I have been on the Regimen for about over a year. I really disliked using the Neutrogena because it took so long for it to absorb and it was difficult to apply make-up over it. I have not had this problem with Dan's product.

Cons:

I wish it was sold in stores.

Try this product. It goes on very smooth and will cause very little dryness if you follow the Regimen. Remember ramp up SLOWLY! Dan's regimen worked well for me, but patience is key.

Pros:

The "Industrial Strength" treatment is an amazing exfoliate and I use it every day. This product was a last ditch effort for me and what a life savor it turned out to be.

Cons:

As far as I'm concerned, there are none. I'm a guy so I could care less about any flowery fragrances. As long as it works, I'm happy.

If you are reading these reviews then you are probably searching for a better acne treatment, just as I was about 1 year ago. Give it a try, for $26 how can you go wrong.

Pros:

treatment system that everyone knows about, easily accessable.

Cons:

PRICE, my GOD this stuff is way too expensive for what it is!!! There are the SAME products out there at 1/2 the cost that are better!
This product stops working within days of stopping usage.
It's just BP people!

AWFUL product. be wary of anyone singing praises about this stuff, they are probably paid to say it. Remember, anything with as much advertising as Proactiv means those $$$ are going into commercials (and to pay idiot celebrities) instead of good ingredients in the bottle!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
