Pros:

Everything.

Cons:

None.

AcneFree was able to clear my mild acne. My face is now smooth, soft, and acne free after a year and a half of having acne. It fixed my face after Proactiv ruined it. Use "The AcneFree Acne and Blackhead Terminator" for your blackheads and for spot treatment. I still have some left over red marks, but those are fading away. I think I may have one ice pick scar, but that is not a problem. Bottom line, buy this if you have mild to moderate acne. For sever acne, try the AcneFree Severe Acne regimen, or just head to a derm. Buy AcneFree! I hope it clears you like it cleared me!

Pros:

If you can get the right combination of products this is good. The bar soap is horrible. Stay away from it

Cons:

Stay away from toners 1-4 stick with the mild. It has no alcohol and a good ph.

My recommendation for anyone would be to use a makeup remover from the line, then the mild liquid soap, mild clarifying lotion, and the benzoyl peroxide gel or the evening treatment with salycic acid. Daytime sheild during the day.

Pros:

Clears up pimples within 2-3 days.

Cons:

Can dry the skin.

A staple product for anyone who is desperate to fight off acne. Due to the 10% concentration of benzoyl peroxide, however, it can be irritating or too drying for those with sensitive skin. It never hurts to give it a try, though.

Pros:

The mask leave ur skin feeling soft

Cons:

It didn't clear up my skin at all. It caused redness and the toner had an icky sticky feel. Felt like I was putting lemon juice on my face. The cleanser was too watery didn't remove all the oil and makeup.

By the end I ended up with tons of blemishes. Don't waste ur money.

Pros:

4oz for good price
Not stripping and irritating
Does it's job

Cons:

Feels too watery, needs to be thicker

Good product. The %10 was too irritating and made my skin peel. And On-The-Spot was too expensive for so little. So I've been using this and it works fine.

Pros:

i have been dealing with mild acne on and off for about 3 years. i have tried everything including proactive, murad, and numerous other over the counter medications.i started using clinique a month ago and my skin is clear and blemish free.it's great.

Cons:

it is a bit pricey. i went into sephora and wound up spending $80.00 on clinique products. i bought the daytime shield lotion, cleanser, perfectly real makeup, and a brush. however, they work wonderfully together and my skin looks gorgeous.

the acne solutions line is the best treatment in my opinion but probably won't work for everyone. it is very gentle and doesn't dry my skin out. it is worth the money.

Pros:

*Product is very mild compared to other benzoyl peroxide products, yet works better than any I've tried. *Basically no fragrance. *Goes on smoothly and does not leave white residue. *Great price for a high quality product. *

Cons:

*It's no secret that benzoyl peroxide can be drying to the skin, especially when first beginning it's use. Besides that, I can't say one bad thing about this product.

Before using this product, I had moderate acne. Now, almost a year and a half later I am virtually always clear, very rarely I'll get a small blemish that heals quickly. As long as a person is not allergic to benzoyl peroxide and is serious about clearing their complexion, I would recommend this to anyone. As a matter of fact, I've given a lot of people info. on this product and the web site to find it. In my opinion, this product is excellent and the regimen is amazing. :o)

Pros:

Incorrect use of proactive is what is causing your break outs/ flares/ flakeyness etc. NOTE= it may not smell any good. and may sting abit. BUT it WORKS thats what counts, right?

Cons:

INPROPER USE IS VITAL - will cause more flare ups, redness and more acne, drinking ALOT of water daily and taking vitamin and mineral supplements helps maintain overall well being and healthy beautiful skin. TRUST ME try it =]

needs to be used correctly. eg. when using the renewing cleanser, you wash it into your face for 2 minutes. time your self. because this is vital. withing the first minute its opening up your skin pores. to prepare for the cleansing of skin cells.impurities and oil. in the second minute it is removing all the unwanted oils. fat. dirt and dead skin cells. it may seem as if the creame has dissapeared withing a minute and a half or less. that is beacause it is in your pores. continue to scrub for 2 mins. then comes to the toner. pore a large amount onto cotton pad/ball wipe over entire face. so face looks wet. allow to dry COMPLETLY this opens ur pores for the active ingredient bezyol peroxide to work. once dry touch face should feel STIFF/DRY and uncomtable. this is cus all pores are open. then massage evenly amount of repair lotion until fully into skin. if needed apply sunscreen as UV rays increase ACNE! hope this helps for you all it has for me. just use <

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
