Pros:

smells nice i guess, works okay for a few days

Cons:

stops working in about 2 weeks

i used this product for about a month. it seemed like it started clearing up my skin in about a week or 2. but then after that, it made my acne even worse than before. i stoped using it but i still use the ben. peroxide 2.5% as my regimen plan thing. just until dans treatment product gets here. right now i use olay sensitive skin moisturizer with spf 15 and cleanse with purpose fash wash and at night i use the clique moisturizer and most of my pimples and zits have reduced in size and are becoming un noticable.

Pros:

Works quite well and is gentler than other brands of BP.

Cons:

Quite expensive to be used with the regime in the long run. It has tiny beads which could be a little rough on the skin.

It's one of the best BP I've tried which can be bought over the counters in my country but quite expensive in the long run. I was using this before I purchased Dan's BP and would also recommend this if Dan's BP is not available.

Pros:

Went on very well no residue

Cons:

I hate this stuff..made me break out worse..made existing pimples red and inflamed..killed my skin...Zero improvement

I went back to Neutrogena On the Spot..I don't know why I switched to Daniel Kern's product..It seemed like a good purchased based on all the postive reviews but goes to show everyone's skin is different..

Pros:

Clears pimples and zits

Cons:

Dries skin terribly, give skin a strange texture, too frequent shipments

I always had pretty clear skin up until about a year ago when stress caught up with me and my skin had a horrible reaction. I started getting little zits and HUGE pimples. I ordered Proactiv and I have gotten very few pimples. However, my skin is dry and stiff. I was left with scars and like..discolorations. If all you want is no or very few pimples..Proactiv will give that to you.

Pros:

Leaves skin feeling really clean. Starts to work instantly.

Cons:

It does leave your skin a little dry. Doesn't help with scars.

It is a really good kit. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and noticed a change within 3 days. It leaves skin feeling very clean. The night cream is amazing. I have always suffered from severe acne, and I tried EVERYTHING but it all made my skin dry and made my acne worse. This kit does leave skin a little dry but nothing like Proactiv or Differin did. Now my acne is almost completely gone accept for a few spots around my chin, but its not as bad as it was before I started using this kit. Finally, a solution that works!! and its affordable which is a big plus! I highly recommend it!

Pros:

It really works. My skin is more clean and fresh-looking. My acnes aren't COMPLETELY gone though.

Cons:

Ok... this didn't happen to me until TODAY. MY FACE BURNS SO MUCH. I have used this stuff before... like a few months ago. Same thing happened to me after I used it for about 5-6 days. I tried it again this time and it happened again.

My face definitely improved, however I don't think I'm going to try it for the third time. I mean it burns my skin. First time, my skin was so dry, but the second time I used some moisturizer.. so that prevented from occurring. Anyway... I think I'm gonna try to find something that is more natural...something that won't burn my skin. Hopefully there is one, cause I absolutely HATE acnes. I mean... who doesn't?

Pros:

OMG THIS PRODUCT after trying ProActiv for YEARS and everything else that was prescribed to me, FINALLY i got Triaz and within in two weeks 70% of my Acne was gone and then in a month and a half, 100% CLEAR!!

Cons:

Better have good insurance or a good Job..

YOU MUST Remain Consistent. Two days of not putting this stuff on will pop 1 and maybe to zits up but as long as you put it on daily, and i actually leave it on thru the night, i became 100% clear after 4 years of struggling to get clear.

Pros:

Easy and cheap.

Cons:

The cream literally makes my eyes burn as if I was cutting like 20 onions. It also smells nasty.

I've used this for a month now and for the first two weeks everything really cleared up and I was excited. But these past two weeks it's actually gotten worse. I'm breaking out in places on my face that I never break out in, and I feel like the breakouts are more frequent. Maybe it's supposed to get better over time, but it worked really well in the very beginning and then changed, not the opposite. If it was really "balancing my hormones" and stuff, wouldn't it be consistent? I just bought a new box before I realized it/thought about it, so I'll probably keep trying, at least until it's gone. But it almost makes me want to go back to Proactiv.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
