Pros:

Worked for some time.

Cons:

In the end, nothing really changed.

It's an awful product. I've been using it for months, and I've had no significant results.

Pros:

There were no pros when I used this product

Cons:

My skin was chemically burned and dried out. It made my skin worse than it already was. It is a horrible immitation of pro active and does not work better at all.

Don't use this product it is a waste of money and time.

I love this soap and all of your products. I have battled with adult acne for years--went the regular route of dermatologists, Accutane, antibiotics, all kinds of store-bought products, etc. Within two weeks of first using your soap, my skin was remarkably better. I now use the soap for everything--showers and shampoo. My skin has never been softer and my flat haireven has body and bounce. I still get breakouts on my chin, but ONLY when I don't follow washing my face with using your moisturizer. For the first time in my entire life--I am 52--I have people I barely know come up to me and tell me how they envy my beautiful skin!! I swear by all of your products.

Pros:

It cleared everything and even made the bumps you couldn't see go away! It barely takes two minutes to apply nightly. and its perfect for my small budget!

Cons:

it dries out my skin way too much! especially in the winter time. It might cause inflamation as well.

I am a more confident girl, and i don't have to shy away from things because of an outbreak. Natures cure saved me time, money, and embarassment. I simply couldn't live without it.

Pros:

The chick that sold em to me was hot?

Cons:

Crap stuff. For starters every step of this "solution" can be bought individually at the pharmacist at a much cheaper price. Two, did not work and made everything worse. Skin peeling / red sore raw skin / more lesions.

Pros:

Potentially dries out existing inflamed acne.

Cons:

Expensive, over dries, harsh and irritates and strips the skin. Also makes you more oily as a result of the dryness.

The worst choice I've ever made for my skin. I still have marks left from the dryness it caused. It dried me out so much that it caused scars. It did a decent job of getting rid of existing acne but it never prevented new acne from forming.

Pros:

Evens out skin complexion, gets rid of a bit of acne

Cons:

Skin becomes immune to it. Once you stop using it for a day, you break out ! / dries out & irrate skin

If you have sensitive skin, don't try ! They are better products out there.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
