Pros:

an overall AMAZING product! honestly, i was pretty iffy about using this. i'v used soo many acne products already, including proactive, otcs, and other pricey stuff. i've also been to dermotologists. after 1 use i could see a difference. :D

Cons:

drying. i had to reduce application to only at night, and infrequent spot treatment in am if necessary. must moisturize!! i use olay oil-free moistuizer, then persa, and more lotion from a korean skin care line.

try it!

Pros:

It has very little fragrance. Which is good because I am allergic to fragrance.

Cons:

All it did was sting my face, then dry up the skin on top of the pimple, then the next morning my pimples were Bigger!!!

I prefer regular Clearasil (it is more like a paste). I put it on my pimples before bed and by morning they are dried up and healing! Try it!!

Pros:

Everything, best product I've ever used and have been using it for over 6 years. I never had bad acne until my early 30's, big pimples leaving red scares for weeks - Thanks Clear & Smooth for your products my complexion is now clear & smooth!

Cons:

I've heard some complaints about the smell of the bar soap, It is a different smell but does not stink. It cools my face and leaves it soft and smooth.

This is the best product I've ever used (trust me, I've tried so many different products). I've had friends comment on my complexion and some are now using these products. I have a 19 yr old daughter who has never had acne problems, but then she's been using Carley's Clear & Smooth. She couldn't deal with not having any of their day time moisturizer! There are so many products available and the costs are outrageous. A bottle of Carley's will last me & my daughter about 5 to 6 months. I can't describe how much I like their products, they are always perfecting and adding new products. I always wanted a mineral facial powder and now they have it! It's wonderful - just like every product of theirs I've tried. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Pros:

well it was nicely packaged

Cons:

in the first 2 day of use my acne got alot worse. still using it ......
gonna see if it gets better... smells bad. all of the stuff stings my face. no results yet after like 3.5 days. adds seem to lie ALOT about seeing results quickly.

hasent worked yet . hopeing it will.... 10% peroxide works - but hurts the skin. if this doesnt work for you just get that. im gonna have to say i wouldnt recommend it because its only caused pain, money, time, and made acne worse in only 2 days......... might work later on..... im gonna be a giunie pig and try it for 2 weeks.

Pros:

Very easy to use, cleanser and lotion feels nice.

Cons:

Leaves my skin pretty oily which is odd considering I suffer from dry skin =S. Also when letting the toner dry it feels sticky like when its humid out.

Best I've used so far.

Pros:

Works pretty well, not neary as harsh as I though it would be. I just have mild acne, so it works great to make sure I have clear, nice skin!

Cons:

It is a little runny, but that's good for when you wash it off. Seems to irritate and sting a little at certain places such as the corners of my nose and just random spots on my face. A little drying, but not much at all.

I'm quite pleased and impresed with this product. Will definitley keep using it. Going to use it right now before I go to bed, actually. (:

Pros:

Effective and can speed up the healing process of a pimple... makes them look almost invisible.

Cons:

Flakes out so if applied and you go out it can look embarrassing (like dried out milk), sometimes it burns and dries skin.

Good Product... nothing spectacular nor miraculous... but still good. Especially if you like me get an occasional huge pimple that looks really unattractive... it has also helped me get rid of these annoying smaller pimples that I have on my chin.

Pros:

The bottle lasts forever, worth the initial more than usual investment for a face cleaner. Despite the fact that I am a chef and my face stays constantly greasy, I haven't had any acne since I started using it.

Cons:

Don't forget it when you travel, if you try to use something else, your face will break out by the next day. It's worth it to keep it on hand all the time anyway.

Worth every penny. Nothing else works like this, and if the bottle lasts six to eight months, it's cheaper than store products, particularly since you won't have to buy spot treatment or concelaer on top of your face wash.

Pros:

Clears Face Up Quick

Cons:

A Little drying, but not bad

The key for me was to use this after I shower, and NOT with water. At first, I used it in the shower and lathered with water as directed, but that didn't help much. So now I use it after I get out of the shower and my face is all dry, and just rub it onto my face, and let it sit for a minute or two. Then I rinse. Good luck!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
