Pros:

NO PROS...

Cons:

THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF....NOT ONLY DOES IT MAKE YOUR SKIN VERY DRY BUT, YOU CAN GET THEM TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER PORMPTLY.....

I called the customer service several times to get my order cancelled. When I finally did reach someone they assured me that they would cancel my order. When I get my September statement it showed another payment for Proactiv. I got some run around about that being the July payment. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.......

Pros:

Got rid of the bumps on my forehead
Cleared up my acne: cystic and small

Cons:

Caused flakiness and dryness, but not NEARLY as much as the prescription stuff and this subsided after approximately 4 weeks on the products

This is SO worth the money. I am 37 and for the first time since before puberty I am ACNE FREE!!!! I have tried EVERYTHING out there (antibiotics, murad, proactiv, mario badescu, antibiotics, antibiotic creams, benzoyl peroxide) and NONE of it worked until I started on the 3 step acne.org regimen. I could not be more thrilled with the results!

Pros:

-Clears Acne
-Reduces Pimple Size
-Leaves face feeling fresh and clean
- Doesn't clog pores

Cons:

-Irritates eyes- Strong scent
-DO NOT PUT ON TOO MUCH! You will break out like crazy!

This product works fabulously and gets the job done. It cleanses, exfoliates, and rids acne all in one. I love it!

Pros:

Within days my acne started to clear!
Very inexpensive
Easy to buy online

Cons:

Slightly dry and peely skin (no problem with moisturiser)
Will stain clothes and fabrics!

I am so glad to have found this product. When I first started using it my acne started to clear and now - a couple months later - I finally feel confident with my skin! The downside is that it will stain clothes. I ruined a good shirt with it before. But I would happily ruin 1000 more shirts so long as I don't have acne. Haha

Pros:

Gets rid of most acne if used twice a day.

Cons:

*Leaves skin flaky and dry
*Smells bad
*If you miss a night/morning pimples come back 10x worse
*Doesn't get rid of black heads or white heads
*If used with another product proactive may react and give you more pimples.

Proactive does not work, I'm a 14 year old teenage girl and I have a fair amount of acne. It worked for the first 2 weeks but then I noticed my white heads and black heads were getting worse. I missed one night from studying and the next morning my forehead was a bumpy mess! I had blemishes on my cheeks and it was just terrible. If you use proactive for a long time and then switch to another cleanser your acne will intensify. Proactive is definitely not what the commercials say it is.

Pros:

none

Cons:

Smells, leaves a residue on my skin not matter how long I wash it. If I use it in the shower it bleaches my towels. Didn't clear up acne at all!

I hate it!

Pros:

easy to use
NO funky chemicals
all natural
free samples
IT WORKS!!!

Cons:

kinda smells like grandma's medicine cabinet

I had fairly clear skin as a teenager, but when I hit my mid-twenties my face erupted. I'm not talking little white heads, I mean dime-size, agonizing, cystic acne that took weeks to heal. It's left me with scars that continue to form blackheads. Not pretty at all, turning 30 on top of it all was downright depressing! I tried everything OTC and prescription. If it didn't make the acne worse, it dried out my face, making me look older. I found Carley's a few weeks ago and the difference is AMAZING! All the acne is gone, I had no allergic reactions, no drying or peeling, and when I put on make-up, my face looks PhotoShop FLAWLESS!!!! I'll give up my cellphone before I give up Carley's!

Pros:

It works but....

Cons:

-Not completely Clear
-I cant find it anywhere! Ugh I think walmart just recently stopped carrying it (just checked the other day 8-21-11)

If this is the only product you've found that is working for your acne, then it's probably because you have candida overgrowth (yeast). Homeopathic medicines' concept is "Like Cures Like", that's why this product contains Candida Albicans. I like this product because the benzoyl peroxide is 5% and its waaay better that Dans acne.org BP (my skin is EXTREMELY oily). Anyway, im doing a month long cleanse along with a strict diet change for my candida problem...but in the mean time im still trying to find Natures Cure IN STORES!!

Pros:

- Reduces swelling of spots
- Prevents spots

Cons:

- Darkens skin
- Leaves scars

I have been using Benzoyl Peroxide for a few months and I must say, I have seen some improvements. You JUST use it sonsistantly though! It has reduced the size of my spots which is really good. However, I have noticed that it darkens my skin quite a bit. I think that although it does help acne, it won't clear it in my opinion.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
