Pros:

It works!

Cons:

Doesn't necessarily start working right away.
Too expensive for the little contents included

I tried Acne Free after attempting to clear away my acne with many other products such as clearasil, neutrogena, clean and clear, olay, oxy etc. After the first 2-3 days I noticed my acne becomming less visible..And a week later I was acne free. Give it a try, hope doesn't end here! ;=]

Pros:

Keeps my fresh fresh, and is a quick fix.

Cons:

Today I'm going to the doctor because my face has a slight red rash, I'm not sure if it's from this exact product or the clean and clear astringent which by the way took all the acne off my forehead.

Two days ago I started using this product, I had an area of acne on my forehead and one on my cheek. I used this product with the Clean and Clear astringent and today my face is like brand new. All the large red zits on my forehead are now small little bumps that I predict will go away in a few days. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Pros:

Worked really well for a few days (made my skin softer), after that, it makes sink less oily (instead of getting oily when I'm nervous, now my face just turns bright red and burns).

Cons:

Worst treatment ever, see below.

I didn't really have bad acne beforehand, I just bought this treatment because I was going on vacation and wanted to look good in the photos (and I have always had one small patch of redness/bumps on the side of my face). Now, after three weeks of using it, I have the worst acne of my life- the whole left side of my face is covered in very painful acne and my pores have gotten giant. The skin is getting stretched and swollen. Yes, I used all three steps. However, sometimes I did only do the night applications. ( I have some horrific before and after pictures, if anyone wants them ).

Pros:

I love this product. I used it my freshman year of highschool and it completely cleared me up. Then I stopped using it. My junior year, I started breaking out like crazy. I am now back on it and I'm seeing the same amazing results. This is the only p

Cons:

Drying the first few days, and turns face red after use but goes down after 5 mins.

Amazing, but wouldn't recommend it for dry or sensitive skin.

Pros:

Reduces redness, drys out the pimples and then they just go away.

Cons:

When your skin drys out and when you first use it, it burns your face a little.

It works great. It takes a little while, but my acne was really red before and now its not as red. It clears up your pimples and it works.

Pros:

I'm using for 1 week and I'm getting my skin clearing. I had a small breakout but as the regimen says, this is normal.
My skins is very oily and this product make my skin dryness so what could be a con for me is great pro.

Cons:

You need to be really careful with the sun or you can get nice sunburn. I've discovered my skin much more sensitive to the sun while with this product in my face.

I recommend.

Pros:

product was affordable, cheaper then proactiv. Cleans skin very well, reduces oily skin greatly. already see improvement in skin, yet may be too soon too tell. Acne has already begun to dry up and reduce in appearance

Cons:

skin has some redness. have used for 48 hours. had hoped for more dramatic results.

im 28 years old, and have never had acne until the last six months, my job requires a very upkept appearence. therefore when the acne wouldnt go away, i proceeded to wear MORE makeup to cover it, the more makeup i use, the more my acne develops, i've never dealt with it before but it had made me quite self conscience, and i hate to wear the amount of makeup i have to wear to just cover it up. i saw this product advertised, and decided to give it a try. in hopes it will work as it is said it will, i've used the product for two days. acne has already begun to dry up, yet not as quicky as i hoped. and skin is a little red. but can not tell if it is from the product or from the acne. im hopeful this product clears up my skin so my appearence is what it used to be.

Pros:

Cleared up pimples in a few days, whoch was nice for a change. Even if they didnt clear up right away, the redness reduced.

Cons:

(Of course) The dryness was a slight issue. Also, after awhile, I think my pimples have become somewhat immune to the product. It takes more and more applications (and time) to heal.

Zapzyt is a good product, GREAT price (I actually bought it as a joke, but hey, it works). OH! Never, ever, ever use Proactive (repairing) Lotion after using Zapzyt. I had extra in the bottle, so I did this. For me, the combo dryed out my skin twice as bad. Just sayin.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
