Pros:

Works

Cons:

Dries your skin
Does not get rid of it all

I used it and it was ok. I noticed that the Repair Lotion really dried out my skin so I just skip that step altogether and use a different moisturizer for my skin (that works).

Pros:

Helped clear up

Cons:

Didn't complete clear me up

I've done the regimine for about a year and then gave up when I was still getting break outs, however I was using Nuetrogena on the spot and not dan's bp. A few months ago my skin got really bad (Large pimples on the tip of my nose and all along jawline) and I decided to give dan's products a try save for the cleanser (I use Cetaphil) The first week I didn't notice a large improvement, but the second week I did. My skin has started to get better up until probably a few days ago when a really bad break out happened again on my cheeks. I think this product is still great though, and I'm gonna stick with it til I run out or if my condition gets any worse.

Pros:

works incredibly well

Cons:

dries skin

i've been using this product for 2 weeks now and it has cleared up my skin incredibly well, including helping to fade acne marks. i didn't realize it would actually work as well as it does, but it's definitely a purchase i do NOT regret!

Pros:

Works great! This cleared up all of my acne.
The best acne clearing product ever!! Plus no one notices when you're wearing it.

Cons:

Besides leaving your skin a tad dry there's nothing wrong with it

Eliminated all of my acne within the course of a month. My acne was pretty awful and this took it all away. I regret not using this sooner! Definitely recommend this to people who have acne problems

Pros:

When I first used Acnefree, I broke out. But I continued to use it, and as my face got used to it, the affect started kicking in. Acnefree reduced my pimples (clears some).

Cons:

It made my face really dry and started peeling off, and then would become extremely oily to make up for it. This product doesn't really clear up the skin 100%. After 9 months of using it, I could tell how the effect was shrinking.

Don't use Acnefree if you want it your pimples to clear 100%. But it works (especially for its cheap cost). Since they have 30 days money back, you could test it out. Every face is different.

Pros:

Cleared up acne slightly, not fragranced, my skin is less oily. I can see slight difference in my skin 15 minutes after using this product.

*note, slight being the key word in that sentence

Cons:

Skin is sometimes temporarly red after step 2, the toner, but it goes away after mostiorizing. Also, step 2 to can sometimes sting a tiny bit, but it goes away very quickly. Paid alot of money, saw minor results. Acne got worse before it got better.

Clinique acne system is an expenisive system that i would only recomend to a friend with very light to light acne.(actually, definetly recomend this to people with very light acne, go for it!) I think it would definetly clear up their acne. However, for people like me, who suffer moderate acne or above, i would recomend trying a different product if you want to see minor results and clearing of the skin results. This product is a decent one, but don't expect to see extremly fast results and totaly clear skin. * I have used this product for a month and a half, twice daily

Pros:

Everything. Great skin. If you want great skin, use this product it will not fail!!

Cons:

There are none.

I've been using these products for years. I have been an acne sufferer for years. Nothing working. I took so many antibiotics, tried everything out there, until one day my face literally cracked. I looked in the mirror & got so upset about what i saw. I chanced my arm, and looked on ebay and just typed acne into the search engine. Carley's was one of the first products to show up. I read the entire page. I figured hey there's 17000+ positive reviews, it wasn't expensive, so why not try it. when i used it for the first time, i felt like i had washed my face for the first time. Within a week my skin was alot clearer. I'm 28 now & still get the odd pimple, but i have tried other products and nothing helps my skin like carleys. The bottom line is if you suffer from cystic acne & want to help your skin, buy this product. It's not a cure, but it's damn close!

Pros:

Clears up stubborn acne. No chemically harsh smelling cream (its actually quite pleasant).

Cons:

Overnight acne lotion is super strong. It really tightens and dries up your face, but when used with the moisturizer its hardly noticeable.

This product actually really works. I tried other 3-step products before and nothing has worked as well as this one. By the end of week 2, I could really see a noticeably clearer difference in my breakout areas (cheeks and around chin). Get this product now.

Pros:

Shows signs of improvement after the first couple of times, skin feels smooth & soft afterward, easy to obtain, nice packaging.

Cons:

Isn't the best acne treatment on the market anymore, doesn't cure scars, stops working after a few months, if you're not consistent your face will suffer the consequences.

I would recommend this product to anyone that has light acne severity. For those who have it worse (like me), I would strongly suggest getting over-the-counter treatment (for me, the best over-the-counter treatment I got was Clenia). At first, Proactive helped improve the appearance of my face. But after a couple of months, it started to die down and I would still get breakouts, whether I was consistent with my face-washing or not. And if I was to miss a session, I felt that my face got ten times worse than before. Again, it's a decent product (especially now that you can get them for cheap and at the mall), but not intended for anyone with serious acne problems.

Pros:

NOTHING! i didn't even get to use it!

Cons:

i ordered Proactive October 5th under the Express shipping 2-3 days. I HAVE YET TO SEE IT. i wrote to them two wks after not getting it and they said they refunded my card for the shipping. i didn't give them any acct info! After a month of not...

...getting it. I finally called to adk what is up. Apparently it was shipped to the nearest fedex(never said what one) and i had to pick it up, since i didn't show they sent is back!. i was to get a letter in the mail i was supposed to sign so they can resend it. NEVER resieves a letter. I am calling tmo to cancel it and i am going to Acnefree! Don't order it unless you are ready to make phone calls everyday til you finally decide to cancel!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
