Pros:

NONE!!! Not worth the headache

Cons:

Didn't work made my face break out worse which I know can happen at first so i kept using it and on the 3rd week it left scabs on my face like mild chemical burns.
Customer service IS TERRIBLE!!!! I returned the product and they still kept charging my card and I would call and they would say my account was closed and not sure why charges still coming out. Only refunded $30.82 of the 133.56 they have charged me.

IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK TO TRY!!!!

Pros:

- Get rid of acne
- Does not bleach your skin
- Can absorb quickly depending on the amount

Cons:

- Takes discipline to follow the regimen
- Itch my eyes
- Flaky skin at the beginning and dryness.
- Not a total clear skin, still get a pimple once a week here and there.

This is what I tried over the course of my acne past. I had acne for 13 years, and this is the first topical treatment that works for me. - Accutane for one year - Birth control pill which gave me perfect skin - Chinese tea - Pro active - Murad - Epiduo - Being a vegetarian for a month - Some antibiotics given by dermatologists - I tried 5 different dermatologists - Dermalogica - Zenmed - Dr. Hauschka products, organic line - Doing nothing about it The bottom line, is that I have been searching all over for the perfect product to get rid of acne and I still think that Acne.org, really changed my life because I am able to feel good about my skin now. I owe so much to Daniel, and feel so grateful and appreciative that he is able to impact the lives of so many other peeps with acne issues. Strongly recommended to give it a try.

Pros:

I feel the pro's for this product is that you can immediately see it working. Also, I have black marks on my face and they appear to be fading, slowly, but they are fading! When a new pimple pops up it immediately starts working.

Cons:

It dries your face out because it's 10% rather than 2.5% or 5%; however, I use a moisturizer for this.

When I first started seeing a dermatologist they recommended a face wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide. Somewhere down the line I thought I should use salicidic acid and my face went down hill from that. So the bottom line is that if you want a great face wash definitely choose this product. Follow it up with CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion and you will be great. Also Oxy has a 10% benzoyl peroxide medicated acne gel that I use at night and its great. use the face wash about 2-3 times a day and you will see improvements!

Pros:

clears up skin, noticed results in the first few weeks and by and couple of months your acne should be minor, this is with consistent use.

Cons:

your skin will become dry and flaky, it will be tight and uncomfortable. this should only last a few weeks as your skin will be used to it by then. you should consider an oil free moisturiser.

this is a great product but bear in mind that your acne is not going to go away with no sacrifice. you have to be commited to using this product consistently, even though your skin will be dry and flakey for a bit. it worked for me i had pretty bad acne and after 3 months i was happy with my results. a year on and my skin in perfect.

Pros:

cheap for its size
dries fast
its magical
very nice package design(cute)

Cons:

the 2oz BP comes in a little bottle and the way that the cap works, its a little difficult to get it out.

I wash and moisturize twice a day and I have always had clear skin. But I started having huge breakouts recently. I did a little online research and found this site. First I was skeptical. I followed the regimen with other products I could find in stores. tried burts bees blemish stick, acnefree terminator, and kiehl's blemish control but they all didnt work too well. The acne would not go away and new ones keep on popping up. My face was horrible. Finally, I got on this site and bought the BP. This little thing cured my acne in TWO DAYS. Its truly amazing. Never thought those huge pimples and blemishes can disappear so quickly and with such cheap price. I also got the 10% glycolic acid, you can't find this stuff anywhere else for this price! Thanks Dan! Very fast shipping also. I got the products in my mailbox only 2 days after I ordered it.

Pros:

-clears acne!
-goes on clear
-fragrance free

Cons:

I find my skin tends to be drier than before, which can make wearing makeup a bit more challenging because it can look flakey (fortunately my skin is so clear I really don't need it!)

I had mild acne all my life that became moderate in my early twenties. It really affected my life. I was constantly thinking about my skin and getting down on my appearance--my confidence really suffered. But the BP started working after just a few days, and by about 2 months I was getting no pimples at all! Soon the old discoloured marks from previous breakouts were fading and I was going outside without a stitch of makeup on. You have no idea how amazing that felt. I can't even put it into words. Yes, I did suffer through some rather unattractive redness and dryness for about 3 months. I once had a friend ask me if I had a sunburn (in winter! I just told her that yea, I went outside and the sunlight is stronger because it's reflected off the snow...;) Anyway, I'm so glad I stuck with the regimen. I use my own cleanser and moisturizer (which I mix with Dan's jojoba oil). I couldn't be happier with the results. If you suffer from acne, like I did, you probably spend a lot of time fantasizing about how awesome it would be to talk to someone up close without worrying about their reaction to your acne. Or about how much more confidence you would have talking to your crush if your face was clear. I know I'm sounding like an advertisement here, but I would really recommend to anyone with acne that they give Dan's regimen a shot--and I mean stick with it for several months even if the redness/dryness is no fun. You will be SO glad you did.

Pros:

- Works quickly
- Easy and quick to use

Cons:

- A little expensive

I bought Proactive Solution because I was tired of my bad skin. I didn't expect it to work, but after only 3 days people started to notice that my skin was getting better. After a week I started to break out again, but was told that it was normal. Now 2 weeks after I started using it, all my pimples are gone and the redness it starting to disappear!

Pros:

Works good for all zit types (small whiteheads to nasty cysts). It took 2 nights of putting a big blob on each zit (6 zits, 1 large cyst, 2 normal-sized and the rest were small). I woke up the 2nd morning, and the 2 bigger ones had a head on them including the ugly cyst and the other zits dried up. Good stuff in my book!

Cons:

Burns for about 5ish minutes, until it absorbs and dries a bit...no pain, no gain! Because I use such a large blob, it takes a little elbow grease to carefully clean it off w/out torturing your zits!

I typically use meds from the derm...and I have used EVERYTHING OTC and from the derm. I haven't used OTC meds for years and my sister told me to try it, otherwise I wouldn't have. She read the statement on the box that said "works in 4 hours", so I went running to the store :) it's very effective for my stubborn inflammatory acne! I only gave it 4 stars, because I have a couple old zits (1 of them is an old cyst) that you can't see, but can feel....it hasn't done anything for those! But, then again...nothing will help them!

Pros:

Actully works, Visible effects on first application, realiy clears acne after about 2 weeks, hardly ever have breakouts anymore, dirt cheap, easily absorbed into skin.

Cons:

Does dry skin out and makes it flake off.

I bought this gel as a last resort before going to see a doctor who probly would've prescribed me anti biotics (risk of long term liver damage, no thanks), Panoxyl 10 cost me £3.49 from loyds pharmacy, After the first application I could clearly see the cream working after a few hours, The redness had died down alot, The real results come after about 2-6 weeks of usage, skin hardly breaks out (still the odd White head) which goes after about 2 days of use, the gel is amazing, I wouldent be without it in my morning and night face wash routine, Its given me back that lost confidence, and a clear spot free face, However in the first few weeks of use I had extremely dry flakey skin (benzoyl peroixde based gel, Drys skin, removes excess sebum oil, And oxygenates pores, spot causing bacteria can't live or breed in an oxygenated enviroment, which means no breakouts) for the dryness I drank alot of water to keep face moisturiserised, also water clears skin, I defo recomend panoxyl 10, mike.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
