Pros:

Toner gets rid of dried skin well, and they like to send you free stuff along with you purchase.

Cons:

Doesn't make acne better, the were chemicals too harsh for my face for the first week and make it sting, they keep sending it to me

So I've been on proactive for about 2 1/2 months, and my acne has gotten so much worse since I started using it. Before, I only had a few pimples on my forehead, maybe one on my chin and nose, and a few on my left cheek. Now, there still arent very many on my forehead, but my left cheek and chin look terrible. the pimples are red, and there are like 100 tiny bumps starting to show up. and the pimples that were on my cheek before still haven't left, and have gotten bigger if anything. Now on my right cheek, which has always been clear, has 2 red pimples and a lot of bumps starting to show (A LOT). The pimples are really itchy, red. and sometimes hurt. Also, a month after my first order, they shipped me another order (which i didnt order) that had 3 months worth of the product in it, and charged me 70$. DONT GET PROACTIV, it made my skin worse and they just want to take your money

Pros:

-The Corrective Cleanser is amazing. It keeps my face pimple free (for the most part).
-The moisturizer was great! It kept my face from drying out, and it didn't make it oily.

Cons:

The spot treatment didn't work as fast as I hoped. (but still works)

All 'n all; I love AcneFree. I'm 15 years old, active in sports & wear makeup. ZIT HAPPENS. I was really embarrassed about the way my forehead looked, so I thought what the hey, I'll try it! When I got home I cleaned my face, used the moisturizer, put the spot treatment on my major break outs. When I woke up in the morning- my face was noticeably clearer. I'm SO glad I bought it, and I'm very pleased with its results. I highly recommend it.

Pros:

I love all of Carley's products. My daughter uses the anti-acne and I have been using their soaps exclusively for years. All of their products including scrubs, pore minimizer, Kukui nut cream are all exceptional products. I wouldn't and haven't used anything else since discovering Carley.

Cons:

Anyone that says these products do not work are either not using than as indicated or are totally providing an inaccurate rating. All their products last, so when you divide the amount paid by the days you have used the product, it is actually very inexpensive.

Try it. Give it a fair amount of time because each skin type is different. Even the most expensive products tell you it has to get worse before it gets better. You won't regret it.

Pros:

It Works, Clears skin, Repairs skin, Makes it feel soft.

Cons:

Takes Time, Be patient. You'll have bad days.

Get the product at wal mart, they have a generic brand for 11 bucks try it there if u have questions and dont want to spend $50 bucks at proactive. The only thing i would get from them is the Refining Mask, i got the big 25$ bottle it works well and i love it. Good Luck Friends.

Pros:

- Dries Out and Tightens Skin
- Gets rid of and prevents acne
- Best results I've ever had!
- Good for oily skin types

Cons:

- Wouldn't recommend for any other skin type than oily since is completely dries out your skin!
- Leaves white flakes behind which are easily washable and not dead skin
- Not good for daytime use

Basically I used everything to try and get rid of my acne and this has been the only thing that worked! I used a lot of expensive products from my spa and my acne just kept getting worse... Then I decided to try this product and I HATED it at first so I decided to put it away and not use. Then I went on a trip and didn't wanna bring all my expensive products so I brought this and a simple cleanser and a salicylic acid treatment. Needless to say my acne had improved a ton at the end of the trip. 2 Months later my acne is almost gone which is the best I've had in 5 years! Basically it's cheap and it works, more than anyone could hope for :) IMPORTANT: I can't stress enough how much this dries up your skin so if you don't have oily skin you may be looking at the wrong product These are all my personal experiences and people may have different opinions.

Pros:

Completely cleared my acne
Doesn't leave a residue
Cheap
Dries quickly

Cons:

Drying, but all acne treatments are...
Bleaches clothes and towels

I tried this product and regimen after seemingly all else failed, and it brought my skin from being damaged, bespeckled, incredibly acne prone, blotchy and unhealthy to radiant, absolutely flawless, glowing, youthful and completely without acne. For as long as I get acne, I will never go off the regimen. I highly recommend this.

Pros:

N/A

Cons:

Totally ruined my skin. Before I used this I had about 5 pimples. When I stopped (3 days later), my whole forehead was covered in them, I had a cyst/nodule on my chin and cheek which I have NEVER had before using this. The only way I was able to get rid of the nodules was by using drawing salve to draw out the infection. It's now been 6 months since I stopped using it and I'm just now getting rid of the white bumps it left all over my cheeks.

It may work for some people, but it without a doubt made my skin worse than it's been in my life. Be careful with this.

Pros:

-gel
-clears bumps
-best bp ive tried

Cons:

none so far

I needed something to use while I'm waiting to begin accutane in 2 weeks. This stuff is amazing! I've tried department store bp products and they just made my skin itchy and irritated. This bp however, does not burn or make my skin itchy, it actually has a nice cooling effect. Thanks to this bp, I can actually tolerate a product with bp for once. Plus, it doesn't have all those added unnecessary ingredients. This formula is awesome!

Pros:

-Clears face
-Last a long time
-Actually works

Cons:

-Pricey

I had suffered acne for a long time and was always so embarrassed. I found this stuff though and have been clear since. I bought the 8oz kit in August and have only had to replace my cleanser once, And just today bought another kit. So it may seem pricey, but it lasts you so long and IT WORKS! I recommend it to everyone. And it has worked for everyone that I have suggested it to.

Pros:

Got rid of 95% of acne
Non-oily sunscreen

Cons:

Can't find it
Dries skin
Harsh on skin

This stuff works! IT's the only thing I've used that really did leave me with no acne, except for blackheads and acne every once in a while. This will dry up your skin like crazy, but it works so well it's worth it. After using it for a year, I stopped using it because my face was looking dead and it was bleaching everything I touched. I went to another product and had to come back to this. I'm almost scared to use it, but my face is as clear as day. If you don't have sensitive skin, or dry, I would defiantly recommend this to you. And I would buy a moisturizer, you'll need it.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
