Pros:

Clears acne fast

Cons:

Dries skin

It took me a few days to notice the improvement & in exactly one week it does what it promises. It works wonder w/ my adult acne. I never had any other product that does so well than this one, plus the price is great. I finally found a great cleanser, thank you Clean & Clear.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Horrible service and kept getting charged

I hate this product and the company. I tried canceling my product and I kept getting charged because the new guy didn't cancel it correctly. Also their buy online for $19.95 is a scam because they dont say that they will also charge you 3 more times. It's really $102. It's a joke! Don't buy from them cause they will just keep charging you.

Pros:

none

Cons:

1. it burns
2. it's very drying
3. it's not a lightweight lotion and feels sticky
4. most of all, it made things 10x worse.

I gave proactiv a try again last summer and all it did was make my acne worse for me. People always say, everything gets worse but then it gets better. Lies! Proactiv made my face the worst it has been in my entire life.

Pros:

the ONLY product that's ever worked consistantly for me, and I've tried every otc(over the counter) and prescription out there with the exeption of accutane. and I strongly advise that nobody use acutane because of the risk of side effects such as crones dissease.

Cons:

I don't know if this qualifies as a con, but nothing actually cures acne. you will have to use this product regularly in order to keep your acne from coming back, but after using the "jump start method" it dosen't take as much of this product to get the same results. so I guess this is actually a pro!

THIS IS AWESOME STUFF! after 30+ years of suffering the humilliation of looking like the goalie for the dart team, I can proudly show my face in public. people without acne just don't know how awful it feels to look in the mirror and see your face full of huge painfull red boils. society treats people with acne like we're dirty, like we live on french fries and chocolate bars. I started getting acne from wrestling in school. acne is caused by staff bacteria, as I understand. that's why antbiotics help clear it up, but for some people it just keeps coming back. Well.... this is the answer to my prayers. This product literaly gave me my life back! I'm in sales now, 'cause I'm not embarassed of my skin. I have no problem getting a date, I don't hide when people get their camera out, I have a new level of confidence like I've never had when I had a face full of huge welts. forget clearacil, forget proactive, forget all otc products , this is it! the only product you'll ever need to control your acne. I've never endorsed another acne product in my lfe, because this is the only one that has really done what they say it will do. just follow the directions on the web site, and you'll see for yourself. They didn't pay me to write this, like they pay people to do T.V. comercials. They're fake! They put fake zits on with makeup for the "before" photos and wash the makeup off for the "after" ones. This is the real deal, I tried this stuff figuring I had nothing to lose. I am so happy that I did, and if you try this stuff, you'll be the next person writing a revew like this one. the first bottle of kick *ss treatment lasted a month, but after that it now lasts twice as long 'cause I only need to use half as much to get the same results. THANK YOU STEVE!

Pros:

works great! If I see a pimple start. I put the zapper on it, and its gone the next day! I only paid $10.00 for the kit at Ross. What a deal. You cant beat it. My daughter has pimples and she is 26 years old. I keep telling her to try it.

Cons:

none. Alot of people complain about the bottles being too small. I only use very little of each product. I think you are using too much. How can you complain with the price? I wear eye makeup, so I use a different cleanser for my eyes.

Use it like it says. One time a day for a week. Or use one product at a time to see if it irritates your skin. I am 47 years old. Most of the people using this are teenagers. My skin was gettins scars from my pimples being so bad. When you get older you pores are larger and get clogged easier. Most women use creams and lotions on their skin at my age, but they only break mine out BAD! I dont have any black heads on my nose any more. I put the repair lotion and zapper on my nose twice a day because its so oily. Just a drop on the rest of my face or none at all on some spots. My skin may be a little flakey in areas but its much better than having big ugly zits. READ the directions! Or change the system a little so it works for you. rome wasnt built in a day. be patient and start using it slowly. Sometimes more isnt better. I tried proactive before and it burnt my skin and gave me more pimples. I have also learned NOT to scrub my skin. Be gentle with your skin. Masks and scrubbing it makes it break out worse. Believe me, I tried it. Its not what you eat either. Take it from me, I am older and wiser. I not only have to worry about wrinkles at my age, but pimples! I shouldnt have them any more!

Pros:

Clears breakouts
Prevents breakouts
Evens skin tone
Moisturizer smells nice
Make up goes on well over it

Cons:

Stains pillows..

Although I've only been using this regimen for about 3 weeks, it's already 10x better than any other product I've used. I had tried Proactiv and it seemed to work slightly but my skin would BURN and get huge red blotches all over every time I used the toner on my face. My skin was so dry, my nose would peel and around my mouth would be flaky and gross. I have slightly sensitive skin so I thought maybe Benzoyl Peroxide maybe just wasn't for me. After trying Acne.org's treatment I will say the exact opposite!! Even with sensitive skin, I can use a lot of the BP gel (which feels really nice to smooth on your face!) and not feel ANY burning sensation whatsoever. The only thing was when I was starting to use it, the first couple days my forehead had a slightly bumpy feel (nothing visible) but it must have just been my skin getting used to the product and it went away in less than a week. The only thing I have found is, the more moisturizer, the better! I was wary at first to use as much as Dan Kern suggests but I thought I might as well give the exact regimen a shot and wouldn't go back for a second!! I will buy this time and time again! Cheaper than many products, shipping is pretty expensive ($70 with shipping) but well worth it!!!

Pros:

Toner and mask work

Cons:

The wash (step 1) doesn't wash anything off of your face...i'm not exactly sure if it even does anything at all
The 3rd step that you leave on leave face red, and doesn't do anything either
The customer service sucks, I can't understand anything anyone says
I thought i was signing up for a starter kit and if I liked it then i would buy the 90 day supply - They automatically send the 90 day supply charging me three separate charges a month ( I had no idea, but apparently I "signed u

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY I now use cetaphyl face wash and a toner, never using Proactiv products ever again,

Pros:

-WORKS!! As long as you use Dan's amount
-Gel, not cream
-Absorbs VERY well! (gel)
-Makeup goes on well over it
-decreases oil production
-no residue stuck on skin like my prescription gel can do
-helps unclog pores to prevent blackheads (pore strips will work SO much better)
-Shipping was FAST for me even though I used the cheapest rate and it had to travel across the country (my experience)

Cons:

-Shipping cost if not ordering in an auto-delivery kit, is a bit much (but worth it!)
-Wish it was available through Amazon fulfillment (Prime would be nice). BUT I know Dan is keeping product costs to minimum for us!

-BLEACHES CLOTHES! Even if I waiting for it to dry BP still bleaches my clothes but, POLYESTER DOES NOT BLEACH! Great to know if you needs shirts on the Back Regimen

Absolute BEST you will find. It is worth ordering and the shipping. I'm buying the big one next time. WORKS- This is the ONLY formulation that cleared my face from 15 years of acne. Once my skin got used to it there is barely any dryness or flaking (but still keep using your moisturizer!) I found that to clear my mod-mod severe acne I had to use a ton as per the DKR. After my skin mostly cleared I decreased the amount used some to stretch out the bottle and I stayed clear. UNDER MAKEUP- This is also the only BP I found that absorbs so well that you CAN load it on for the Regimen and it will soak in so well I can still do my makeup normally. Important while your scarring is fading! Plus I'm a makeup junkie so I am THRILLED this tx lets me keep it up. I have however stopped using primers and oil control creams. I will reintroduce one product at a time to see the effect. AND since your skin improves you need less foundation saving you $ and making cosmetics fun again, instead of spending an hour crying in the bathroom bc you can't cover your acne. COST- This is also the best price you will find for BP anywhere. The bottle is huge and they don't sell that in stores. The cost per ounce is a steal. Unless you can get a dr's prescription with a low copay for this amount, you will save a ton of money buying this. MY TIPS: If not absorbing the full amount on your face put half the amount on, let that soak in...THEN go back and apply your other pump(s) and you can use the full amount and still have it totally absorbed. If you get oily during the day, you don't want to wash your face again and strip your skin. Use blotting papers. Before this BP they were useless as I got oily within a half hour, but now I blot maybe twice a day if that. USE BAMBOO TYPE PAPERS. They will lift the oil off so well it looks like you did wash and your makeup looks fresh! The plasticy ones can't do this. Acne.org BP lets

Pros:

It clears a bit of acne.
The toner, lotion, and Green Tea Moisturizer were f a n t a s t i c.

Cons:

If used without moisturizer, your skin becomes overly dried, and in order for your skin to fix that, it gets very, very oily.

The cleanser is trash. Completely. The toner was wonderful, and if you use *alot* of the lotion, and wait at *least* 10 minutes after you apply it to put on moisturizer, it should work better if you use a better cleanser with the regimen.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
