Pros:

Took my acne from moderate to light
Smells good
Soft Skin

Cons:

None so far

I had acne since i was in grade 3. All the products I have used have worked well like a aloe vera gel and some products my mom lent me. But this so far is the best i have tries so far. Before i tried this i used to have acne all over my face. After using this it clear up my chin and cheeks. In the morning i use this and use clean and clear dual action moisturizer and in the night i use Shanez Hussain Scrub. I saw results instantly. Works like a Charm! Good Luck!

Pros:

My skin has built up a tolerance on harsh chemicals

Cons:

Expensive
Does not work well
Dyes fabrics - towels, pillow cases

When I first started using Proactiv solution, I was really hopeful like it was going to be a miracle cure. I used it for about 10 years and there was no change in my skin. I should have given up on it sooner, but my mom was paying for it so I didn't care. I recall the first few weeks of using it were torture on my skin with drying and burning. Maybe this product should be for adults and adult acne because I think I was too young to start using such harsh chemicals on my skin at age 10.

Pros:

Well, there is nothing good about this item. My daughter got worse from it.

Cons:

Everything S U C K S! they need to be reported for charging people over. ordered it once, and a package would be sent every week until i got my bank on the phone. went threw TERRIBLE TROUBLE..AND FOR SOMETHING THAT DIDNT EVEN WORK! THANKS PROACTIV! MONEY STEALERS

REALLY people, dont get it cause it SAYS it works, im gonna be completly honest with you, it takess your money. I've read millions of other reviews of people being robbed from them. think what you want, but i wanna sue them for taking $200.00 out of my bank account. this product doesnt work, and if it doesnt work for you, they arent gonna give you your money back believe me. they just says you keep ordering it, when they do! they take the freakin money outta your account! if you really dont wanna listen to me then buy it off ebay or something that way they cant rob you. this makes my daughters skin red and irritated, and makes it dry out, if you want to know something that works, GET THE NEUTROGENA DRYING LOTION FOR PIMPLES, AND GET THE CLEARASIL 12 HOUR FACE WASH FOR CLEANSER, AND OLAY FOR YOUR LOTION AFTERWARDS.

Cons:

Pros:

skin looked pretty good for a few days

Cons:

expensive

i'm about to be 31 and i've tried almost every product from prescription to drugstore brands; proactiv was my last resort. i don't have bad skin...just minor acne on my jaw line and occasionally i'll have one spot of cystic acne. after using proactiv cleanser (i can't use the toner or moisturizer because it made my face burn) my face looked like it was starting to clear up. I was even taking daily pictures of my skin so i could compare...4 days into it my skin got worse and the acne seemed more painful. my cystic acne went crazy and i was dealing with 5+ spots. i used it for 2 months straight then stopped using the product and went back to my clean & clear and st. ives scrub and my skin went back to normal. a few days ago i decided to give it a try again since i paid so much for it. after washing my face it feels very greasy, my skin is worse and i've got lots cystic acne in weird places like in my eyebrow and right under my brow bone (places where i didn't apply the product). looks like i'll be throwing it all away

Pros:

Works extremely well
Easy to use
Cheap

Cons:

If you let it get into your hair, it will start to bleach it a blondish color, but by wrapping a towel around your hair or just being carful its easy to prevent

i used this product, along with Oxy Pads, for months and never had any acne problems, maybe an occasional pimple here or there but nothing serious or unmanagable, then the local store stopped selling this product and i had to try other things, i still used the pads but not the wash.. and bam my face broke out like never before and left some bad marks, so i went on a crazy search and eventually found it at a walgreeens that i normally dont go to.. its been a few days since getting back and im already seeing improvments

Pros:

Works Quickly

Cons:

Dries Skin Out

Clinique Acne Solutions works amazing, but it definitely dries skin out. I spoke to a woman at the Clinique counter at Macy's and she told me to replace Step 3 (Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer) with Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. But this is only recommended for people who get moderate breakouts. I only break out when I have midterms and finals or when I have my period. Other than that, I'm likely to have about one teeny-tiny pimple. Other than that, I say wait out the "drying-period" and after about a couple of months, Acne Solutions stops drying out your skin as much. Make sure you put on plently of SPF, because Acne Solutions makes it more likely for you to get a sun or wind burn.

Pros:

It works well and even cleared up my razor bumps from shaving.

Cons:

There should be a warning about getting this cream anywhere near your lips or the soft skin near the eyes because gave me rashes in those areas.

Do not apply this product near your lips or around the eyes as you are applying all over your face. Even though it's only 2.5% BP, it is very powerful and it can severely dry your skin if you don't use enough moisturizer.

Pros:

Begins working quick.
100% Money back guarantee.

Cons:

Slightly dries skin.
Smells ... different?

So, i have tried several acne products, including proactiv, murad, acnefree, artistry, and the list goes on. But, I have never used a product that produces results so quick. After the first day, there was a significant reduction in redness, inflammation, and oil production. However, after the second week, it seems like the results have plateaued; my skin has stopped clearing up. In fact, i'm beginning to see new pimples in places I haven't ever gotten pimples before. The consultant at Macy's told me that I might break out more before my skin completely clears up. I was debating on whether or not I should return it, but after calling the consultant, she convinced me to give it a month or two. Hopefully, it will work out like she said it would. I'm going to give it a chance, hoping it will work the way it initially did!

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
