Pros:

Cleared my acne, does not smell bad, more affordable then going to dermitologist and paying for prescriptions.

Cons:

Dried my skin in first week - as any acne controlling medication does, the step 3 that you use in the morning has a gritty consistency and I don't like putting it on my face.

I have tried many products for acne. I have even visited a dermatologist and the medicine they gave worked, but was expensive. Plus, they gave me an antibiotic that made me feel sick all the time. Prior to trying AcneFree Severe, I looked like rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. I consistently broke out really bad on my nose, cheeks & forhead. I have only been using AcneFree for about two weeks. The first week my face did not show much improvement at all and my face was very dry. Now, two weeks later my face is almost all the way clear. It is amazing the difference. I dont feel like I HAVE to wear makeup the second I get out of bed and I am not embarassed to take it off at night. I highly recomend this product.

Pros:

Gets rid of zits really fast and keeps them gone if you keep using it

Cons:

It will dry your skin

I have used alot of acne products like, proactiv, acne free, and clearsil and none of them worked for me then i used Acne Gel 10 benzoyl acne medication from rite aid and it works really good. The only problem is that it will dry your skin. So only use it once a day... You decide a dried face or a Acne face?

Pros:

-It is very cheap for a month treatment
-3 easy to use steps
-Extra Bottle for the cleanser at Wallgreens.

Cons:

-Burned my face
-Dried my face.

I don't have sensitve skin on my face, but for some odd reason the Acne Free system really hurt it. I had a red face before and bumps on my face for like ever(heradity) but the Acne Free system made them more irritable. Acne Free also made more bumps apear. The system dried my face out so bad! I had a fairly normal face, but now my face is super dry. I dont use it anymore. My face is still dry and it has been three months since I stoped using it. I think this product is only if you have really really bad acne. They system also burned my face super bad. It isnt burned anymore, but when it was burned I could barely smile. And I smile alot.

Pros:

This product is the only thing that works for me, and it works great. It lasts a long time. one bottle lasts maybe 4 months.

I used to live with painfull, horrible, acne. And I mean painful. I would get big cyst type acne. I tried all types of products. Most of the time these products made my acne worse. I even went to a dermatologist, and the prescription stuff made my acne worse. There was obviously something more going on. On a whim I tried Clear and Smooth. I saw an immediate improvement. Most stuff says you have to wait so many weeks. Well with Clear and Smooth, it starts working right now! What really impressed me though was the care and personal attention I received from Steve Willis. I was still getting a little acne, even using this product. I emailed the folks at Clear and Smooth to ask for some guidance. Steve emailed me links and gave me further insights into what might be going on. It turns out I have an allergy to animal products. Now I've switched out all my shampoo, soap, lotion, etc. to vegan products. My skin has never looked better! Thanks so much Steve.

Pros:

I love, love this product! Nothing, and I mean nothing as worked as quickly or as well as this simple product.

Cons:

It smells like sulfur, however all acne products do. Also, it has a drying affect to your skin but once again all acne products do. Neither are major tho!

You need to buy this! Since I started it a week ago, my skin is already flawless! By far the best product I have tried. I have tried the three step Clean and Clear products and they reduce acne but nothing to this affect! I absolutely love this product! I really wish I had it sooner,

Pros:

it does work for me i had severe acne and now evryone say my face looks way better than i used to

Cons:

way too much expensive hard for a student like me to afford often, customer service is horrible, dry out the skin, smell bad, works for acne but leaves a lot of scar.

i've been using this product for 1 year and glad that it worked but too much money for me now i just switch to another one that my dermatologist recommend its really really gentle for sensitive for skin you can feel it when you put it on your face think you guys with less money should try it it called Cerave you can purchased it at any local drugstore like Rite Aid. anyway if you use Proactiv definitely pair it with seperate moisturizer if you dont want your skin flake out.

Pros:

It clears up your acne if you use it religiously.

Cons:

If you miss one day, you basically have to start back from day one. It dries out your skin incredibly. you MUST use with a moisturizer.

It works, but you have to make sure and use it properly. Take the pills twice daily, use the cream, and moisturize! It will dry out your skin horribly at first. I've been prescribed numerous topical and oral medications. They all were too harsh or just didnt work. Nature's cure was the only medication that I've used and seen actual results. I would definitely recommend to anyone to try.

Pros:

none

Cons:

expensive for what it is. it doesn't work for spotty pimples

it is the same thing you can get for a fraction of the price at drug stores. My dermatologist cousin told me the main ingredient is Benzyol Peroxide, which is something you can easily purchase anywyere for cheap with the same effect. Furthermore, you end up with tons of cream and not enough toner. They send you a set every month, which is too much to begin with, and totally annoying when you have to stop the order cause you ended up with 3 sets you haven't even opened yet.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
