Pros:

Hopeful that it would work.

Cons:

Auto-ship and charge
Small amounts of product
Adverse reaction
HORRIBLE customer service!!

I'm happy for those people that this product worked for unfortunately I am not one of them. My face completely broke out in a raised rash and then peeled off. I then had to begin the two month process of canceling my account. Absolutely ridiculous! I which I had never tried it!

Pros:

got rid of some acne, made others smaller

Cons:

left my face red, burns when i use it, dries out my face

this stuff doesn't work too well. I mean, sure, it MIGHT get rid of SOME acne, but your face just gets waaaay too dry. That's saying something for me, cause my skin is super oily. It also makes my whole face red. Plus, it burns, but it might just be me and my friend.

Pros:

effective

Cons:

none

I though Panoxyl bp gel was good, but acne.org bp gel is the best (less irritation)

Pros:

well i guess there really aren't any.

Cons:

It made my whole face flaky. I have a very pale complexion, so it made my face really red. It looked like I got a sunburn.

It didnt do much. I have zits that are really deep in my skin with lots of post acne marks, it inflamed my skin and made my zits flaky and as a result, i didnt look too hot lol ;)

Pros:

The bottle lasts especially for the price!
Excellent customer service

Cons:

It did not work
Caused more breakouts than normal
Extremely drying

I usually will not write a review about anything but I felt the need to express how bad this product was for me. Before anything, everyone should know I gave the product plenty of time: 8 weeks! At first, the product felt amazing on my skin and I noticed less blemishes appearing but with continued use, the product became less effective and more troublesome. I followed the instructions exactly but my skin kept worsening. Looking in the mirror became difficult! B aware that the treatment is not for every individual. So I contacted the seller and shipped the product back. By the way, the owner Steve Wills holds true to the money back guarantee! I will stick to using Purpose soap, witch hazel toners, and the complex 15 moisturizer for my skin. I just started this routine yesterday, so wish me luck!

Pros:

not too expensive

Cons:

dries my skin!!

this lotion didnt necessarily clear my skin...maybe its just my skin. It made my skin very dry.

Pros:

all natural ingredients

Cons:

if you actually look at the ingredients it is all oils..therefore clogging your pores, broke me out in cystic acne

I really really regret using this product. It made my face 10x worse. I fell for all of the positive reviews on their website.

Pros:

cheap
can send back

Cons:

made my skin break out so bad I had to stop using it.

My skin was pretty good and now I have the worst cystic acne. Please be very careful! I cried for days. As soon as I stop my skin started to clear but I think it may scar from this.

Pros:

Looks likes it should work and the wash is nice.

Cons:

It seems to me that I got the AcneFree Sensitive pack. Well that came with a moisturizer, wash, and a spot treatment. The wash works a little but the rest is trash.

No.. No.No.

Pros:

This works on any mild breakouts on the back or chest.

Cons:

Not useful on cystic acne on the face/jawline. I also find it bleaches clothing sometimes.

I have been on accutane twice. Both times, my skin cleared up beautifully. I went 1 year after the first one before breaking out horribly again. It's been 5 years since the last time, and now I'm getting horrible breakouts on my jawline and chin. It's depressing and annoying! The Brevoxyl does not help this at all. It's very frustrating. I am putting YES for recommend for back/chest but not for cystic acne or face.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
