Pros:

None.

Cons:

It doesn't work for me, I started using this and my acne got worse. It also leaves an ugly white residue on your face after it dries.

I've used it for 2 weeks I got negative results.

Pros:

Really works!! Leaves my skin feeling refreshed

Cons:

Does smell a bit, dried out my skin for the first two days, can get pricey

When I first started using these products, my skin got worse. The treatment was clearing out all my pores and my under-the-surface pimples, which made my skin get worse for a few days. I kept using it, and after about 2 months my skin became clear and STAYED CLEAR! I've used Clean & Clear and Burt's Bees, but nothing worked and continued to work like Clinique. HANG IN THERE!

Pros:

I had cystic acne and it helped a lot i still get breakouts but smaller and less inflamed every week.It works it just takes a long time.I hate to have breakouts so i tend to pop them. Try to "pluck' the dried end of your pimples rather than popping.

Cons:

The provided method did not work for me.Even though it is advised to do the treatment in shower/bath I do it on the sink. What I do is was my face with the soap then do the scrub for about 15-20 sec. Twice a day.

Best acne treatment by far.Cheap.Fast shipping and friendly customer service. No sides effects.Natural.Highly recommended to everybody.

Pros:

Skin is clear, more even and so soft! The company is very quick with shipping and they are prompt with answering questions, etc.

Cons:

The natural soap is awesome but it is a little more difficult to use since it comes in a bar rather than a bottle--totally worth any con for the results though.

I am very sensitive to BP but it works so well to keep my skin clear. Using other BP products I would occasionally wake up with swollen eyes and my skin was always extremely itchy. Carley's has BP in it but when used with the natural soap and combined with the other ingredients in the scrub--I do not experience any allergic reactions or discomfort. Like any thing else be patient and allow your skin to adjust to using just this product. It takes a little while b/c if your like me you went back and forth using a million different things which has your face confused and reacting. It will work!

Pros:

it makes your skin clean , and you do notice that the acne becomes less severe. There is also less redness and swelling

Cons:

buy this, its worth it.

Pros:

Easy to use, reduces pimples for a few days

Cons:

Dry skin, wasn't able to keep the pimples away for long.

Wouldn't recommend this product to anyone with over moderate acne. I used to have light acne but since using this product, it has become worse and now i have moderate acne.

Pros:

smells okay...It dosen't make my skin dry like some people.

Cons:

No real results, kept my skin red, had a very wishy washy pattern to it, never made my skin clear, you run out of toner before you do the cleanser or lotion! Breaks out my cheeks :[

I would not have tried this product if it were not given to me free by my friend's sister. I don't fall into strange TV ad gimmicks, but I decided it was worth a shot while it was free, just to see what all the hype was about. When I first tried this product I thought it looked pretty nice, heard some good/bad reviews on it. Once I put the first step on my face it felt like it was actually cleaning it..maybe. The toner was nice feeling, and the lotion...oh ouch. That stuff burned my skin so harshly. My skin felt raw and looked awful and red after using it, but that slowly goes away a few minutes afterwards. Once trying it for about a week or so day and night as directed, I saw that although it didn't dry out my skin like some others have claimed, thank goodness, I noticed that it has a very wish-washy pattern to it. It'll make it seem like it's working for a while and then totally break my skin out even more.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
