Pros:

Doesn't smell.
Doesn't burn after put on.

Cons:

Rash. Itchy. Barley any improvement.

I hate this product. Especially for senstive skin. T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E.E.E.E.E.E!!!! I honest was looking forward to this product, BUT NO. Please don't waste your money on something can could harm your skin as much as mine. My facial red-ness has started this morning, even with liquid foundation over it, & powder. It would absoulutly never use this product again. Also, it burns even worse during the day IF you sweat. If you are in gym during the day, & you have used this product during the morning... I feel really bad for you. Because a lot of people felt bad for me. Well, if you don't know what product could work after hearing/reading this review, use Clean&Clear. It's amazing. It really helps. I barley have any acne left thanks to Clean&Clear.

BROKE ME OUT HORRIBLY WITH MILLIONS OF WHITEHEADS AROUND JAWLINE AND CHIN!!!! I have never had any problems in these areas and now its this worst part of my face. So disappointed in how I look I've had to stay home ever since i used this product. Now that I stopped using this product for a couple days my skin is finally calming down and no more new zits. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU ARE A RISK TAKER. I thought I would give this product a try from all the great reviews but now I wish I never heard of this product

Pros:

Why do I love this product so much? It's simple and natural. I've been using this product for almost two years now and it works just as amazing as it did the first time. I used to use harsher products that worked against my acne in a forceful way. This product, however, works with my skin. The simplicity of it does not irritate my skin. It is like an exfoliator, which is a plus. The beads are not too harsh either to irritate your skin.

Cons:

It takes a week to get used to. But thats all part of the process

This product has been AMAZING for me. Ironically the oils in the product have rejuvinated and softened my skin. The secret is using the right oils your skin needed. I'm so glad that this product properly informed me about what really is good/bad for the skin. Do not be alarmed by the pricing either. The bottle lasts you 3-4 months. That's equivalant to buying a cheap acne product at a regular store: about $5-6 a month. Usually acne products that are at regular stores are about $8-$10. This product, in the long run, is actually cheaper than buying an off the shelf product for 3-4 months. Your paying $20 rather than roughly $27.

Proactiv has a terrible business model. Proactiv lost my business for good and I will recommend this product to no one.
May 10, 2012

Pros:

Cleans up your complexion super fast. I literally noticed much smoother skin after just a few washes.

Cons:

Doesn't completely clear my acne, however it is about 85% better which I'll take because I was about to sell my soul for clearer skin. Oh yeah and it's expensive!

It's not an overnight cure but it will work if you stick with the routine. Do not mess with the routine for the first couple of weeks and you will be just fine. I can go out without makeup now and I couldn't before. However I still get break outs

Pros:

Worked from when I was 15-20. Well, it brought my acne from severe to mild.

Cons:

Sometimes it cleared 100%. For the most part, i it never cleared me completely. After 5 years, it stopped working all together. It might be overpriced.

Give it a try. But I think there are cheaper alternatives in Walgreens which have the same ingredients.

Pros:

-the refining mask
-the toner
-works for a few months

Cons:

-expensive
-runs out easily
-doesnt work for long periods of time

So I got proactiv when i was about 13 and it worked for a few months. Then my face started to get really red and oily. I went to the dermatologist and they basically told me that Proactiv is for the Hollywood stars that need a quick fix until they can get an appointment with their dermatologist. DO NOT waste your money on Proactiv unless you just had a minor break out and you have a dance or a trip to go to. It is not going to fix your acne or calm it down in the long run. trust me. been there, done that.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
