Pros:

My son wont use anything else but KickASs for his face...tried many different products and nothing worked and still works as good as this product...just bought the daily moisturizer and it took care of his back ance..

Cons:

the facecloth used will discolor other laundry..When first using KickAss it seemed to bring the acne out more but with continued use it cleared it right up..

Would highly recommend giving KickAss a try....It worked wonders for one of my sons but not the other...No one product can work for everyone...Have been a customer for 3 years and will continue

Pros:

NONE!!!!! If I could give this product no stars I would.

Cons:

I used it this morning for the first time ever on my right cheek. I felt it tingling but didn't think much of it until I felt a hot burn. I washed it off but still have a chemical burn on my face. So instead of a tiny zit, which would have disappeared in a day or two I look like someone hit me in the face with a baseball bat. Do not use this product.

You have been warned.

Pros:

Inexpensive price.
Goes on easily and smoothly.
No extra useless additives like coloring or scents that people might be allergic to, that would only raise the price.

Cons:

Slightly greasy compared to the discontinued Stiefel/GSK PanOxyl line.
So it doesn't dry 100%!
This makes my face stick to the pillow at night, slightly, unlike the old GSK BP line.

Still a good product. Also, there is a 4.0% BP product out there. I wonder if Dan has considered positioning the product line to have a slightly higher BP %, say, 3.25- 3.5% so people who really need a stronger product (like the old PanOxyl 5) can use this?

Pros:

I am 53 and suffered from acne all my life. Proactive has worked best for me when I use it regularly and I've tried it all.

Cons:

Years ago I ordered the system and had to sign up for regular shipments and found it to be too much, too often. Now I can get what I want when I want at a keosk in the mall.

Worth the money when I use regularly. Clears the many hair bumps under my chin. I've even had bumps disappear overnight after using the repair lotion.

Pros:

It works great! I love it! WHEN I can get it from the website without being overcharged by a technical glitch.

Cons:

The website didn't work properly and I got charged twice for the product while being notified that the payment did not go through. Thank goodness I check with my credit card company and discovered this. Otherwise I would have been charged double the cost of the product without receiving it!

Fix your website and don't charge people while telling them the charge did not go through! I love the product but am afraid to order from this website! It obviously does not have a secure payment process.

Pros:

does not smell bad

Cons:

left a very bumpy, itchy rash on my face

i stopped using it after 2 days because the rash was bad i would never use it again and wouldn't recommend it if your skin is sensitive at all (even the sensitive skin version as i used that)

Pros:

cleans make up off well
got rid of some acne

yo. i cant say i love this product. i mean it is pretty good when it comes to cleaning off make up but other than that its okay. i have genetic acne so i dont think any product will work for me . my skin looks bumpy. and i guess clinique got rid of some of that bumpness but it stopped working after like a month. i dont think its worth the money it works just as well as any other drug store product

Pros:

Smells nice
Makes skin feel tingly

Cons:

Irritated my skin
Made skin dry and red
Made acne on neck worse!
Very expensive

I cancelled and would not use or recommend this product to anyone! It made my skin so much worse....I had moderately severe acne on my chin and neck all of a sudden right before I turned 40. I was up late saw commercial for Proactiv decided to try it...I am sad to say I struggled for another month with my acne while using it. As soon as I started using Neutrogena products my face slowly started to heal....I still get a few occasional pimples but I am a HUGE fan of Neutrogena products especially the acne scrub and the pink grapefruit wash:) will never use Proactiv again-NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

The cleanser feels great
Odorless
Doesn't make face feel oily
Leaves face fresh and clean
Acne is reduced after using for few daya

Cons:

Expensive
Does not help future breakouts

Proactiv works, but they give you a bunch of extra crap that you don't need that probably will not help rid your acne. They just want to make money off of you with the green tea moisturizer and daily oil control. All you need is 3 steps. Personally, I would use Clean & Clear.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
