Pros:

Gentle
Goes on clear

Cons:

Doesnt stop breakouts as well as others

I wanted to like it, but it just isn't as good as other BP products like clinique. This BP is horrendous at stopping breakouts from happening while you're out and about. I would be out having fun, go to a bathroom and be embarrassed to see a few pimples had risen. So I could never feel secure about my face using this stuff when I was out. I will say that it is quality ingredients, it's gentle and goes on clear, I wish I could like it, but it's just not good enough.

Pros:

cleared acne rapidly and kept it at bay (for a few yrs)

Cons:

premature ageing and wrinkles; harsh on your skin; stops working after awhile

i had severe acne for years and started dan's regime with panoxyl. the first week was the worst - my skin became really red and inflamed and the worst thing was i had to go out like this in public. i was also flaking like crazy. also i started to get really bad wrinkles under my eyes and around my mouth - even after slathering my face with jojoba oil morning and night. these wrinkles are permanent and i have huge ones under my eyes to this day (and it's been about 3 yrs since i stopped using bp). if ur wondering i'm in my mid-20s so it's nothing to do with natural ageing! bp made my skin really itchy and gave me hyperpigmentation - which took years to get rid of.. don't get me wrong, bp does help with acne but does so in a really aggressive way, which cannot be good for ur skin in the longterm... it also stopped working for me after a few years and i got the worst breakout in my life.

Pros:

Goes on smoothly. Didn't cause any cystic acne or pimples to appear. Doesn't ball up, doesn't show up white when you sweat

Cons:

I had noticeable redness and extreme peeling even after 1.5 months of using this, and I still had tons of raised bumps all over my cheeks and jaw. And it was quite inconvenient, the fact it dyes pillowcases and I couldn't wash my face during the day. Plus all of the time that that regimen took every day just wasn't worth it, with this item.

I initially started doing the regimen with Neutrogena On-the-Spot 2.5% BP, and had amazing results - I was clear (that means also no redness and no peeling) after a week and stayed that way for the entire duration. After a while, though, I switched to the acne.org BP because NOTS is so expensive (argh!) and balls up and shows up when I sweat. I had incredibly high hopes for the acne.org BP, but unfortunately, it disappointed me. My acne stayed pretty much the same the entire time I was on it, but I had horrible redness and peeling that no moisturizer could fix. It was so disappointing because with NOTS, I was clear within a week, and I expected acne.org to be at *least* as good as it, if not better. After about a month and a half I took a break of about a week or two and then tried the regimen again with acne.org BP, only this time I had a severe allergic reaction. Stupidly, I decided to give the regimen 2 more times within the next month or so (after I managed to get the rash to disappear with a special cream), and both yielded the same results. It is extremely unfortunate that I must leave my acne.org BP bottle more than half full to rot in my cabinet, but it just isn't working for me anymore. :( However, I think that maybe this is just some problem my skin has with the acne.org BP - I've seen many people use it successfully, and I truly believe that it can work really well, just... not on my skin. Since benzoyl peroxide *has* worked extremely well for me, I just think there's something else in the acne.org BP that isn't working well for my skin. In other words, definitely consider using this but do be aware that it may cause a reaction such as the one I described.

Pros:

gentlest BP I've ever used.

Cons:

created cysts
made face break out worse

Well...I have been using this product for 4 months, and have been following the regimen to a T. Gentle, waiting between applications, etc.. The only positive I can come away with is the ease of applying a gel BP. Very smooth. I only really broke out in my chin area, so I started only applying there. It never made my acne better. Just consistently stayed the same, and there were new breakouts everyday. I have little flesh colored bumps on my forehead so about 4 weeks in I started applying the BP there as well hoping to get rid of them. Oh boy. I never break out on my forehead. Massive eruption. Everything from whiteheads, to red bumps, cysts, blackheads, you name it, my forehead's got it. And now both of my temples have these strange cysts, they are not painful, just about 5 huuuge bumps. I can deal with the flakiness, but the texture of my skin is horrendous. My pores look huge and I just kind of look aged. Ugh. I really wanted this regimen to work and I do believe Dan is a great guy for sharing his success with the world. I have no doubt that this works for alot of people, just look at the logs. I suppose this just wasn't meant for me. Le sigh. :/

Pros:

Worked well for the first several weeks in low dose, great money saver comparing to Neutrogena's BP tube.

Cons:

Developed a huge allergic reaction, after I started to apply 2/3 finger length of the ointment to all the face area. I wasn't have allergy for BP by applying almost same amount of Neutrogena's BP for several months, but now I have it.....I am even allergic to Neutrogena's BP now.......

Watch out the amount of BP you tried to use, maybe just try to apply the medicine on the spot rather than whole face.

Pros:

none

Cons:

EXTREMELY dry and irritated skin. No improvement for acne...I think it actually got worse :(

I followed this regimen religiously for 6 weeks and not only was my skin extremely dry and irritated, my acne didn't clear up at all. I think all the irritation actually made my acne worse - my skin was flaky/peeling/red and hurt to touch or even move. This may work for some people, but I found out that my skin is very sensitive to benzoyl peroxide.

Pros:

a large bottle
no scent
easy to apply

Cons:

caused face and eyes to swell
redness
itching

I've had stubborn acne for a while now and thought I'd finally give BP a try. I ordered this because of all the good reviews I saw. The first night, I put it on, closely following the regimen. I only used a pea-sized amount as directed and went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up with mild itching and my face was tinged a little red for the whole day but it wasn't major. That afternoon, I came home and put it on again after a shower (I hadn't put it on that morning so there was more than a 12 hour difference). That evening, I started to notice the itching was persistant and getting worse. The redness wasn't subsiding either. Another 10-12 hours later, I put it on again (pea-sized amount as usual) and went to bed. The next morning was horrible. I woke up and my face was puffy, red and itching like crazy! Thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere but it was awful! I immediately stopped using it but there hasn't been much change. I woke up this morning and my face was still very red but I think the swelling went down a bit. However, now my left eyelid is swollen. In the end, I didn't see much improvement in my acne either but I was only using it for three days. I think I may be allergic to BP since a while back I had a similar reaction while using an Oxy cleanser with BP but my doctor attributed it partly to seafood. I suppose anyone trying this really has to be careful and make sure they're not allergic first.

Pros:

BP in large doses is good for preventing acne, along with no milk or soya (for me at least).

Cons:

This is my first big order of the Treatment, and having applied it tonight, it REALLY makes my eyes sting and water badly. I am just applying it to my face, but the vapors and fumes from it cause my eyes to tear up so badly that they drip down onto the treatment itself, thus diluting it on my cheeks.

I also find the dispensers disappointing...

I also find the dispensers to be disappointing. The large dispenser pump was stuck so I had to remove it from the bottle, wash the treatment lotion off it (thus losing a fair amount), and dry it then prize it to open by twisting the inside of the tube and the outside. Then with the small travel size dispenser, the foil seal over the top was stuck inside the lid, and I couldn't get it out without resorting to finding some tweezers, it was so far inside. And then the pumps on the 3 large dispensers I got are different, so they don't match.

Aggressive flaking, and redness...Is it working or not?
I started using this regimen about 2 weeks ago, and already my face looks horrible than what it did before I started. My acne hasn't worsened but my face is super dry, flaking, and 2 shades darker than before (around the eyes, nose, and mouth area). I'm trying not to give up on this regimen quite yet because I've been battling with acne, and mild hyper-pigmentation for years now, and after 101 products I've used I thought this would be the answer to my problem! How can I fix this before I completely stop using it?

have u tried it in the front neck area? was curious if it would irritate it
June 15, 2017
Keep using it, just avoid those tender areas. I say if you don't get acne there, don't put it there. I focus on my T-zone and stay away from under my eyes and close to my mouth. Hope it works for you! My skin was dry, irritated and itchy for the first two weeks but now I have no issues. My skin looks awesome.

Update: Acne is still somewhat the same. Added another moisturizer to my regimen (Cetaphil Facial Moisturizer with SPF15) but I mixed both that, and the acne.org moisturizer and finally I can notice the dry skin coming off. My face is now adjusting, and now hoping for more results soon..
