Pros:

Does get rid of acne.

Cons:

Used as directed, dries skin out to a frightening degree and caused scarring on both my cheeks.

This product will get rid of acne, but be warned, I've had acne for years and never has such a problem with hyperpigmentation and I've never had pitted scars. After a month of using the regimen religiously, I saw what was happening to my skin and had to quit. I didn't even think I was prone to pitted scars, but this product dried and thinned out my skin and caused them.

Pros:

same pros as any benz. solution

Cons:

very thin, sloppy to apply. left a residue that would "peel off" like dried glue on from your fingers...

I normally use proactiv but ran out of the benz. repairing lotion now that I've been using the full ammount. I decided it was a good time to try the acne.org treatment after being on the site for a while. What a mistake. The residue leaves my skin feeling tight and it's hard not to pick and roll off the residue. I will be returning this product and adding an extra repairing lotion to my proactiv kit instead.

Pros:

Goes on smoothly. Didn't cause any cystic acne or pimples to appear. Doesn't ball up, doesn't show up white when you sweat

Cons:

I had noticeable redness and extreme peeling even after 1.5 months of using this, and I still had tons of raised bumps all over my cheeks and jaw. And it was quite inconvenient, the fact it dyes pillowcases and I couldn't wash my face during the day. Plus all of the time that that regimen took every day just wasn't worth it, with this item.

I initially started doing the regimen with Neutrogena On-the-Spot 2.5% BP, and had amazing results - I was clear (that means also no redness and no peeling) after a week and stayed that way for the entire duration. After a while, though, I switched to the acne.org BP because NOTS is so expensive (argh!) and balls up and shows up when I sweat. I had incredibly high hopes for the acne.org BP, but unfortunately, it disappointed me. My acne stayed pretty much the same the entire time I was on it, but I had horrible redness and peeling that no moisturizer could fix. It was so disappointing because with NOTS, I was clear within a week, and I expected acne.org to be at *least* as good as it, if not better. After about a month and a half I took a break of about a week or two and then tried the regimen again with acne.org BP, only this time I had a severe allergic reaction. Stupidly, I decided to give the regimen 2 more times within the next month or so (after I managed to get the rash to disappear with a special cream), and both yielded the same results. It is extremely unfortunate that I must leave my acne.org BP bottle more than half full to rot in my cabinet, but it just isn't working for me anymore. :( However, I think that maybe this is just some problem my skin has with the acne.org BP - I've seen many people use it successfully, and I truly believe that it can work really well, just... not on my skin. Since benzoyl peroxide *has* worked extremely well for me, I just think there's something else in the acne.org BP that isn't working well for my skin. In other words, definitely consider using this but do be aware that it may cause a reaction such as the one I described.

Pros:

none

Cons:

EXTREMELY dry and irritated skin. No improvement for acne...I think it actually got worse :(

I followed this regimen religiously for 6 weeks and not only was my skin extremely dry and irritated, my acne didn't clear up at all. I think all the irritation actually made my acne worse - my skin was flaky/peeling/red and hurt to touch or even move. This may work for some people, but I found out that my skin is very sensitive to benzoyl peroxide.

Pros:

Didn't dry skin as much as some acne treatments, fragrance free...

Cons:

Did not help my acne in the least--may have made it worse

When I started using this product, I had mild acne (5-6 pimples)--I now have 20-30 pimples on my face...my skin looks worse than it ever has in my entire life. This product NEVER helped my acne. It didn't do anything for the first two months or so (skin didn't not get better or worse) but then I started breaking out more than ever. I figured that this was due to the "purging effect" that some treatments have...but my skin has gotten progressively worse since then. After more than 6 months of use, I have to admit that this product does not work for my skin. I stoped using this about 4 days ago and my skin already looks 50% better than it did while using this product.

Pros:

it clears acne for a little bit

Cons:

it makes skin sensitive!!!! you burn and turn red

just don't use anything! its always better to leave ur skin natural. You beak out due to hormones and when you get older you will not break out soo much. I right now have acne and whiteheads all over my face. Also rough skin on my forehead and checks because I rubbed it! bad mistake, but i would have gotten soo much acne because if I didn't use the produce. it made my skin break out more. I wish i just listen to my parents and not use anything. they ahve nice skina dn so do my brothers and sisters. Its difficult for me becaue I am embarrasses of my skin. But it makes me feel better to tell peoople to just love ur skin and you don't need chemicals to improve ur skin. it will get better in time when you get older. I hope mine will.. good luck everyone. Be natural!

Pros:

It is ok at stopping new acne forming

Cons:

Unfortunately, too many! I have stopped using it and now using Microdermx to try and fix the red marks

Okay, I have used this for a few months. Here is my honest opinion of this. I have written a review for it before and gave it 3 stars out of 5 overall, but I am changing it now to 2. Here is why. You can tell that your skin hates this product. It seems to me that my skin was pretty much "dead" after a while using this. Not only was my skin always flakey, it just looked dull and lifeless. But to be honest, Acne affects me so badly on a psychological level that I would be the first one to say that it's not very important. As long as I can get on with my life and not have my Cheeks covered in Acne. So the real problem with this product is it seems to make hyper pigmentation marks (Red marks left over from acne, which is worse than acne it self!) last FOREVER. Serious, I read that it did this, but I also read Ran saying it didn't. So I thought I would see for myself. I can now confirm that expect you're red marks to stick around for ages if you use this. I have now quit using it

Pros:

It is pretty affordable and there are very good step-by-step instructions on the website.

Cons:

When I used it once or twice a day it made my face red and dry and painful (looked and felt like BAD sunburn). I dropped back to once every 2 days and then it didn`t stop the pimples from forming.

I stuck with it for 2 whole months, hoping and trying to believe that this would work (when nothing else has). Finally had to give up after my face started to peel off. It was red, flaky and dry and I couldn`t do anything to help it. Unless you have really strong skin (I mean not too sensitive), avoid it. I really wanted it to work, but this wasn`t for me.

Pros:

I really thought it would work great, but it was much too harsh for my skin.

Cons:

I have pretty sensitive skin, so I never even used the full amount. It always burned, and I even developed broken capillaries on my cheeks from this product. If you have sensitive skin, it's probably best to avoid it.

I really like Dan's philosophy, and think it works great for a lot of people. But if you have sensitive skin, PLEASE avoid using the BP. You don't want to end up with broken capillaries like mine.
