Pros:

I think skin is clearer from this product, although I use Proactiv also, so not sure. Haven't got any kids, so that part is working.

Cons:

MOOD SWINGS, ZERO SEX DRIVE, VERY SORE BREASTS, INCREASED BREAST SIZE, WEIGHT GAIN. My fiance hates this this pill.. We have been bickering at one another since I started taking it.

I'm going off it once my 3 months is up. Very expensive too

Pros:

Clearer skin

Cons:

No period,extreme nausea & vomitting,tiredness,bad fluid retention.

Dr prescribed this as a last resort for me (i have high bp!)due to hormonal imbalance after the birth of my last baby. I suffered terribly every 6wks with heavy period loss, vomitting, nausea&period pain. This pill has really made no difference to me. I have just finished my 2nd mth of Diane & still no bleeding (no, I'm not pregnant). But still suffer from the other symptoms. It is great for my skin & reduced my oily skin & hair significantly...which I loved!

Pros:

doesnt work sh*t for acne... or using for bc...

Cons:

i was hung over the toilet every time i would take it... i lost 10 pounds because of this...

dont take this pill.... its bad for you in the first place you are only suppose to stay on it for 4-6 months and if it makes your acne worse when you get off of it, its not worth it. i would rather go on accutane rather then this....

Pros:

Works as a birth control

Cons:

Heart Palpitations, Nausea, IBS

I used it for a year and then I realized that it wasn't worth being on it or any other pill. Changes hormones and disrupts normal balance in the body. I don't recommend any pill or anything artificial.

Pros:

slightly bigger boobs....

Cons:

headaches, sick to my stomach when I first started, leg pain, seems to have brought out every zit my face was planning on having in the next couple months. I'm depressed and on edge. Not sure if its the pills or the fact that my face looks like hell

When I started these pills my face was worse than it had ever been before in my life. I just finished my first pack and I haven't had much improvement. My face seemed to get even worse, and in the last couple days it may have improved a bit. I am really hoping that this is one of those instances where it gets worse before it gets better....just about everyone else on here has been raving about how their skin cleared up so fast. I am not feeling great at all. It really sucks having to go to work every day with my face like this. I swear I will never complain about a few zits again if this goes away. I'm 25 and all of a sudden my face just freaked out. Has anyone else taken these pills and had their face get worse, or not get better for a while??

Pros:

decreased oil production (skin and hair)

Cons:

Very severe depression, increasingly worse over time. (Especially the months following the end of usage).

Not worth it; I would much rather have acne than experience the negative psychological effects of this drug. The long term effects also concern me. I have never felt the quite the same (psychologically) although I have stopped taking Diane since about a year ago now.

I haven't tried Diane yet but my doctor prescribed it for my acne yesterday. I didn't want to take this, I told the Dr. that I wanted Tri-cyclen Lo because I was on it before and it worked and I had no side effects as well as the benefit of an effective birth control but he insisted I get Diane. The doctor did not disclose any side effects of Diane but through the research I've done it seems that this product has more harmful and/or unwanted side effects than any other "birth control" pill. Even the pharmacist failed to answer my questions about side effects. I took it as there is something to hide. I won't be taking this medication, I will be going back this week to get the Tri-cyclen Lo. I don't understand why a drug like Diane would even be legal in Canada; it's not legal in the U.S. which is a big clue. I would rather be pimply than have the side effects that I read off of the entries here and other research. My face isn't REALLY bad; it's not worth risking my self-esteem.

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

you will be depressed, gain weight, lose ambitious life style, will probably kill yourself or someone you love....

I was put on this pill, for no reason, all I wanted was to alleviate my acne. I never thought I was going to go through what I have for the last three years. I was on it when I was 20, stopped taking it at 23. I was a athletic, high achieving student. After I went in the pill, my moods, depression, and craving increased. I didn't concentrate well on anything. I became sensitive to light, sound and people. I locked myself in my room for hours. I didn't know this whole time that Diane-35 cause all this untill I went off it. I suddenly felt better mentally, but my moods and depression came and went. I gained so much, I lost all my musles and started having pain in weird areas like my calves, pelvic and feet. I feel swollen and even though I work out, i can't loose as much as I want. Now I'm doing, internal and external cleansing to make this pill's effects on my body disappear. I advice any girl to not take this pill. We are all different to its reactions.
