Pros:

None yet. Just started today....

Cons:

It cost me a lot, I don't have insurance at work!!!

I am a 28 year old and I have never taken any oral contraceptives before, my gyno put me on Diane 35 to control my acne, which is awful for someone my age. It caused me so much embarrassment and depression. I did a lot of research before starting my pack today and see that Diane 35 is either really good or really bad. The side effects that concern me the most are weight gain...I already weigh enough thank you very much and the blood clots...(thankfully I don't smoke) As we speak I developed the most awful headache! Can I take Motrin or Advil or Tylenol for this??? HELP!!! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Pros:

None yet...

Cons:

Sore breasts. Erythema (little red dots) on feet, legs and arms, Got some really big painful zits. Other things maybe not related to diane like bad pains on both legs.

I have been on it for a little more than a month, it seems it takes a while to work, but I have been having strange symptoms, not sure if it's from Diane but they started little after starting taking it. Also it seems one of the most common side effects is depression, which I already have, so... I'll give it a couple more months. I just wished the doctor had asked me if I had any illnesses or anything that could become worse by taking diane or tell me the side effects, because I wouldn't have wanted to start taking it. But I already bought the pills necessary for 6 months because he told me to go back in 6 months to see how it was working. Reading all the side effects and problems that can come of taking it I think I should see him sooner than 6 months...

Pros:

no major side effects (ie. weight gain, nausea, headaches or water retention)

Cons:

acne is way worse

I do not recommend this pill. I have only been taking this pill for about three weeks and it has made my acne worse than ever before. I feel very mislead by my doctor because she described this pill to me as being a miracle cure for my acne and did mention any side effects. The type of acne that i'm receiving from this pill is different than what i had before. My skin is much more sensitive and becomes red very easily. The pimples that I'm getting are more like sores on my face and are not able to be squeezed. I'm scared to go off of this pill because of the other horrible stories i've heard on this thread. I really do regret taking this pill and do not recommend it to anybody given all of the different side effects it has for each person.
