Lemons

Pros:

Lightens scars fast
Cheap
Tightens up your skin.

Cons:

Stings
Can dry up your skin

It's been exactly one month since I tried using this. I can say that it really is effective when it comes to scars as they lighten way faster than normal (when you don't put anything at all and just leave it as it is). It prevents blackheads from getting worse. It also dries up my pimples at times but I'm not quite sure if it really can prevent pimples and blackheads from forming or coming back. However, it can dry your skin up but that's pretty easy to manage. Overall, I'm happy because it tightens up my skin and heals scars fast.

Helps with Scars

Pros:

Cheap
Natural Cure
Smells great

Cons:

Takes a long time for results

I use fresh lemon only on my scars, no where else. I rub it in with a cotton pad and leave on for about 15 minutes tops. It has taken me a few weeks to see improvements, but it does help and is cheap. This like every other treatment needs to be used diligently. That means every day!

Pros:

good natural exfoliate
helps with scars and acne

Cons:

if left on can dry out skin

Lemon juice is great BUT for those of you having problems with it you should know, its more of an exfoliate. You should put it on for about 10 or 15 minutes at most, that goes for everyone, then wash it and use a natural moisturizer if you need one. Don't leave that juice on your skin, it dries it out, can cause a sore or rash.

Pros:

Makes skin radiant
Clears red/dark marks fast
Great for making stubborn pimples go away
Smells amazing

Cons:

Stings/itches at first when you put it on
Sticky
Makes skin lighter (not good if you're really white like me)

This stuff is pretty damn good. I mostly use it on recently popped pimples and red marks that are left. It made my stubborn red marks go away when I used it twice daily. I tried putting it all over my back for my bacne, and at first it did itch, but after a half hour it was fine. The next day my pimples were going away and the red marks fading. Haven't used it since because my skin is too dry for anything!

Pros:

Fades scars slowly
Seems to help new pimples that are forming stop and start to go down and even go away (if they're small)
Reduces redness

Cons:

Stings a little when you first apply it
Makes open pimples scab

I had been using plain extra virgin olive oil on my skin for about a month with good results and after reading some great reviews of lemon juice decided to add a squeeze or two to my olive oil. The lemon juice stings your face when you first apply it, especially where you have open pimples; however, after about 2 weeks of using olive oil and lemon juice, my skin is looking pretty good! It isn't a miracle worker - you're not going to wake up in the morning after one night of using it and see major differences, but after about a week you should notice redness and old acne scars fading. I have noticed that the addition of lemon juice has made open pimples more likely to scab over and this can be gross to look at for a day or two (and very tempting to pick at!) but often it can help the healing process, so all in all it's probably actually a good thing. Lemon juice is cheap and I've found it to be effective, so I would really recommend it!

gets rid of acne fast
smells good
cheap and easy

Cons:

makes skin itchy when it first goes on

I have been breaking out on my chest and back thanks to a basketball league, and i started using this 3 nights ago, i already notice improvements! It becomes really itchy when it goes on my skin, but it stops after about 3-4 minutes. this has worked better than all of the prescription medicines i have tried! great solution!

Pros:

Smells nice
Easy
Cheap

Cons:

Stings a little
Sticky on face

I've only been usuing lemon juice for 2 days and there has been an improvment on my face, th spots arent as red. and my skin is smooth.. i have sensitive skin and it hasnt irratated it yet, (not saying it wont for anyone else with sensitive skin).. I leave it on over night & all fay if i am not going out and re-apply throughout the day.. it smells good and does work, I reccomend people to give it a go! Although dont put it on open popped spots as that would probably sting unbelivably .. and if you become irritated wash off immediately, could make skin worse.. or mix with some sugar to create a sugar scrub exfoliator, natural remedys are the best!

Pros:

Evened complexion a bit
Reduced pimple size

Cons:

If you drink it as well it can cause tooth decay if you don't drink it right!

So I've been on Accutane and my face was finally starting to clear up, then I got mono and my doctor took me off Accutane and put me on steroids for a week right before school! I broke out TERRIBLY, and I was so pissed that I suffered through a summer of Accutane only to have worst skin by the start of school. I started drinking about a shot of lemon juice in the morning and at night yesterday as well as applying it on my face twice a day. So far the results have been great and have stopped my break out from getting worse and has also taken away some of the redness from the 4 big pimples I now have on my cheeks. I have one more day before school starts so I'm hoping it will continue to make my acne go away! So far so good :)
