Cons:

doesnt get rid of pimples or scabs

Well it was ok but i dont recommend using lemon juice as your acne product. natural remedies are great for you, but they dont always do the job.

Pros:

affordable, natural and reduces blemishes

Cons:

acidic thus stings face when applied

i've used too much of the over-the-counter products to clear my blemishes, so decided an all natural method. Directions: Mix 50% distilled water and 50% lemon juice. Apply onto affected areas (slightly stingy) Results: Swelling of red inflammed spots come down. Blemishes dry up, abit of peeling (reckoned it as shedding skin process). Judgement: Overall effective, used it once only, planned to do it once a week.

Pros:

Reduced red-ness
Doesn't dry out skin
Makes skin feel soft

Cons:

Smelly strongly of, well, lemons
Doesn't actually clean up acne, just reduces the appearance
STINGS LIKE HELL if you don't dilute or use a lot.

I used fresh lemon juice from organic lemons on my skin a few times every night before starting the regimen, and it reduced the redness of my acne but didn't actually cure it/get rid of it, if you apply a lot of it without diluting it, it stings like HELL! Sometimes I got away without diluting it but using less of it. I juiced half a lemon into a bowl and used cotton pads to apply, dabbing it over my skin, I wouldn't really recommend this other other things although it's worth a try if your not interested in doing the regimen.

Pros:

- reduced some pimples size
- smells good
- natural
- leaves skin feeling fresh
- cheap
-tastes good

Cons:

-stings (not that bad though)
-areas that had a lot of acne became worse
- dries parts of your skin

it worked for part of my face and made others worse.I recommend trying it for a few days and seeing where it helps. I now use it on areas that have 1 or 2 pimples but not all over my face... bottom line is i found it works for light acne but nothing more... hope it helps :)

Any advice?
I'm a light skinned indian and I don't get pimples too often. I got a pretty big pimple in the middle of my forehead a couple months ago, ended up popping it, and have regretted the decision ever since. It's gone through several stages after I popped it, first the mark was a bright red and that went away in a couple days. Then it was a dark brown that I didn't touch and another small pimple formed in the place of it. I never popped that but it eventually went away and now its a tiny dark brown/almost black spot in the middle of my forehead. I just dabbed it with lemon and am unsure if it will work. Does anyone have any other suggestions?! Please let me know - any help is appreciated.

I get a product called bye-bye blemish from Ulta. It helps a lot, almost overnight. Also, make sure you're drinking plenty of water and adding lemon may help.

Try " SKIN RENEW DARK SPOT OVERNIGHT PEEL" by Garnier this product worked for me! Like it really did! Now I'm also brown skin so I'm almost 95% sure you also will get amazing results. You use it at night and when your wake up a little of the stuff goes to long way so don't pump more than a few dots and smear it all over your face and hold your hands over your face allowing them to almost create heat it emulsifies it better into the skin in my opinion do it for 2 weeks TRUST you will see results! And your 30day mark will be amazing!

Pros:

makes face feel soft

Cons:

not sure if its helping

I have only used this product for a few days, and i appear to be breaking out more. Is this because the lemon is purging the "bad stuff" in the skin? I will report back in a few weeks

Pros:

Cheap, easy and natural.

Cons:

It burns and feels like a lot of tiny needles are poking your face. Leaving it on makes your skin unpleasantly tight and sticky.

To be fair, I've only used this method twice: tonight and last night. Nonetheless the results were just awful. I have sensitive combination skin (dry, patchy and red but still oily) which may have something to do with it. I applied the lemon juice with a cotton swab after washing my face with mild soap. When I woke up and washed it off I noticed that the lemon juice had caused me to break out. I know it was not just coincidence because I actually broke out in places that I never had and the pimples were especially painful. It made my skin really dry which I expected but it also made my face redder in general and did not have any effect on the discoloration/scars left by old acne. I'm especially disappointed because of all of the rave reviews. I really wanted this to work but maybe it's just not for everyone. I'm still debating whether I should try using a different routine like diluting the lemon or leaving it on for shorter... oh well :(
