Pros:

made my pimple smaller

Cons:

didnt really get rid of acne on my face though

i applied this all over my face one night and the next morning i noticed that my pimple on my cheek had become smaller and wasn't so red. other than that there were no big changes. make sure when u apply this it is pure lemon juice and nothing else (no perservatives etc)

Pros:

works pretty well - great for bacne!
easy

Cons:

stings when first applied
dries out skin
sticky

I first used lemon juice on my face years ago. Just apply to trouble areas (blackheads, usually), leave on for 10 minutes or whatever and wash off. It stings quite a bit, but its sort of nice! but I found lemon juice was a bit harsh for my face - it stings and dries out skin and while it works okay, but I've got products that work much better. however, I found it works really, really well for body acne. I have very mild body acne - occasionally a couple blemishes on my back, that kind of thing. so I just apply it to my back in the evening; it would dry and I would sleep with it on. in the morning, I would shower off. its a bit awkward to apply, unfortunately. it still stings, but I don't have to worry about drying out my back. serious, it works great for bacne. I used this super often last year - I had lots of events that involved wearing dresses with low backs, and this saved my life. the results don't always become clear right away, though - I would start this at least a week before an event (often longer, just to be sure - and sometimes I would use it every second night or so, not every single night). I used bottled lemon juice (like Realemon) -- super convenient!

Pros:

cleared up my acne
inexpensive
smells good
made acne scars dissapear
shrunk my pores
blackheads dissapeared

Cons:

itches the first few minutes
lightened my skin (some people might like this but, I'm already really pale)

using lemmon as a way to clear acne is really smart and efficient way to clear acne. I just cut the lemon into slices and then rub the slice all over my face. Wash it off few minutes later. It leaves your skin feeling soft and will clear up the acne in no time (alond with scars and blackheads) It did lighten my skin which i didn't like too much since i'm already so pale but, if you don't mind the fact that it lightens skin then go ahead and try it. Bottom line- its a great way to clear up acne and scars.

Pros:

Fades acne scars
Brings dirt to the surface

Cons:

Makes skin a bit dry and tight
The tiniest bit of stinging in the world ever. It really isn't a problem, I actually quite like it.

After meandering through the internet searching out acne scar cures - nothing has worked so far, including microdermabrasion - I stumbled across this page. Having bought some lemon juice for pancake day on Tuesday I decided to splash some on my scars and see what happened. They're flat in texture and angry red in colouring. I kid you not, after a few hours since I first applied it I had people commenting on how they were fading really nicely. They look closer to my natural skin colour now after just 2 days of use and I have high hopes that the lemon juice will continue to speed up the healing process. It also seems to have brought up some spots around the area which were stuck in that awkward skin coloured bump phase. Over all I'd highly recommend it for fading scars and bringing out stubborn spots.

Pros:

smells good. I hope it will fade my scars.

Cons:

It just stings a little the first 5 minutes.

So I'm trying this for the first time now, I don't know if it works. First a cleaned my face, then a put on some alovera cream, then I cut a slice of the lemon and rubb it gently around my face (not eyes and lips). Burns a little, but it's starting to get bether now. I'm gonna leave it over night. (Sorry if my english is bad).

Pros:

Natural exfoliator, has sloughed off a lot of dead skin which I think was helping cause my acne (clogged pores), has already helped with the redness, is helping fade the post-inflammatory marks and it has only been about a week! Smaller pores, too :)

Cons:

None really, a sting. Can lighten eyebrows I think so avoid using it there. Dries skin but I solved this with a little moisturizer and aloe vera gel.

I have had random acne on most of my face for years now and my right cheek has been a WAR zone the whole time. Like many women, I chose to try to cover it up with makeup, at least on the bad cheek where it was the worst. This only makes it worse and I believe it has clogged my pores over time. After using lemon for only a week (fresh sqeezed lemon, use less than a quarter to cover my entire CLEAN face ), I have been "picking out" dried clogs...Gross, but also great! Its like all the dead skin and makeup that accumulated on that bad cheek is "coming up". I had a few days of healing crisis, where a bunch of small witeheads cropped up. Blackheads also looked bigger, but thats because the skin was being exfoliated at a super rate. Since using lemon, I have had NO new pimples, pores are looking smaller and clearer, and maybe in a week or two I will feel confident enough to wear NO makeup on my bad cheek. The red marks are also getting better...Overall Im really happy!

Cons:

can sting on open pimples or cuts, i wouldnt reccomend it for dry skin. i broke out a little, but it might just be TOM

i was getting really clear, but i had all the stupid dark marks on my cheeks. in the past i had tried lemons but didnt really find them effective. then, i read online about it. i learned that THE SECRET IS STEAMING YOUR FACE BEFORE USING! im on day #5 and my marks are so much clearer. i steam with salt water in a pan on the stove. apply with cotton balls. leave on for like 20 min. works for me.

Really Helps
I apply lemon topically as well as drinking it in water every day. Since starting this treatment, my scars have drastically lightened and reduced and I have seen the amount of acne I get reduce as well. It has really helped so much. Also, just drinking more water with the lemon in it has added a new glow to my skin. My routine is: wake up in the morning and drink water warmed up with half a fresh lemon squeezed into it. Then, I drink lemon water throughout the day and apply it topically to my scars and blemishes both when I wake up and before bed.

Pros:

Reduces acne
Lightens acne marks
Makes skin softer

Cons:

Stinging sensation

I have a lot of acne marks on both sides of my cheeks. I have tried desperately for almost two years to find a product/treatment that can improve the appearance of my acne marks. I stumbled across this review page & was surprised at the amount of positive reviews the lemon treatment has receive. I decided to give it a try. I used fresh lemon juice from a lemon & diluted it with water. Applied it to my acne marks & existing acne using a cotton swab. Honestly, it stings the skin but it is bearable. I leave it on for an hour & rinse it off with warm water. Gently pat my face with a clean towel & applied a decent amount of moisturiser. The first few days of the treatment left me with a rash on my cheek but it cleared up & left my skin strangely smooth & soft. I guess my skin was trying to get used to the lemon. Fortunately, my acne marks have faded a lot after 4 weeks of using lemon juice & my acne went away instantly & only came back once in a while. When I do spot a new pimple, I apply the juice & made sure that I never pop it. I am sure of it fading my acne marks because I took a photo of my cheek after each day of using this treatment & results are visible. Patience is key!

Pros:

*Clears up blemishes overnight
*Leaves face feeling refreshed
*Cheap for anyone to buy and no prescription needed

Cons:

*Stings just a bit (especially when air hits it) but not too bad

I had been hearing about using lemon juice for acne for years. Never tried it before until 2 nights ago and I can honestly say I will be using lemon juice faithfully :) . Here's what I did: Bought a bottle of lemon juice (the one that looks like a lemon and has a green top), washed my face with baby soap, patted my face dry with towel, then put some lemon juice in a small cup n diluted it just a bit with some water (so it wouldnt sting too bad lol) then got 3 cotton balls and dipped em in the cup one at a time and rubbed it on my face. Left it on overnight, woke up next mornin and could definitly tell a huge difference. I was hella skeptical about using it at first cuz I didnt want my face to break out any more than it was, but lets be honest, if the acne bothers you its worth tryin!
