Pros:

- acne scars demolished
-blackheads gone
-helps clear breakouts
-makes skin glow

Cons:

-skin gets a little red, cause its like a peel.
-skin gets a little itchy right after you apply.

I had severe acne since I was 12 I'm 15 now and in high school.. I have tried everything... I eventually had to go on birth control to control it and it seem to help my acne dramatically. But the down side was when my acne cleared I was left with scars on my cheeks and acne marks on my cheeks. I was desperate to find a cure. I tried all of the over the counter products to cocoa but oil.... Then I heard about lemon juice... I tried it out and it helped EVERYTHING.. From blackheads, to pimples, to scars, to acne marks... I swear u need to try this!!!!!

Pros:

Stopped active pimples
Faded scars
Works after first use!
You will not flake
Natural
Cheap!

Cons:

Kinda drying but no where near as bad as other medications (There is no flaking no worries)

What else can I say besides it worked? Honestly! What I did is a little different though. I mixed lemon juice and sugar to make a kind of exfoliant and i gently massaged it on my face. The next morning, WOW. Active pimples were shrinking, acne scars were fading. It's like a miracle product! It worked better for my scars in one day than my Retin-A did in like 3 weeks. It's really worth it! Try this before you decide to take a trip to the dermatologist!

Pros:

Removes dead skin cells faster
Lightens my red acne scars
Makes your face look brighter
Gets rid of a tan

Cons:

I accadently squirted some in my eye lol!

I've been using lemons for my acne scars every night now in the shower. I have slight back acne scars and shoulder ance scars and it is deffinately lightening them a lot. Also, I had a tan on spring break and this stuff id helping it go away faster by removing dead skin cells. All I use on my face and body is lemons and sea salt and it is deff working. It makes your face really bright too. Although, it does remove your tan in a bad way sort of because it gets blochy looking but eventually it will go away back to your natural skin color. It's best to use really hot water on your skin if you have acne scars so it removes the dead skin cells faster.

Pros:

-Reduced redness
-Faded scars a little
-Makes face feel refreshed

Cons:

-It burns but not that much

This is a great and cheap way to effectevly fad some scars, but I would not recommend using this every day because it loses it's effect after using it too often, and your skin just gets used to it.

Pros:

Really inexpensive. Works well

Cons:

Stings. Can leave a yellow tint.

After using an antibiotic gel my derm perscribed I began getting worse acne(inflamed, bumps, and cysts) on my cheeks. Lemon juice cleared it in days. Didn't clear the blackheads but they are extracted much easier. BIG PLUS: my skins smoother, has even coloration, and my newly formed wrinkles(age 25) have dissapeared. For the first time in years I'm not wearing makeup

Works great..no totally clear but lighten up scars dramatically
I've had acne since I was 11 y/o and I'm not 31...im tried everything u can thing..even rx didn't work for my skin..so I went to natural remedies. .I wanted to first figure out what inside my was causing my skin to create acne...once I figured that out I did my research. ..I changed my diet..starting excersing and drinking lots and lots of water!!and alot of lemon/lime water..bc there natural detoxing..put lemons on my face every other night..bc every night was to over drying to my oily skin..and mosturize daily am and pm..I have hormonal acne on my jaw line and respiratory acne on my cheeks....based on my research. .which means I need to control my hormones and detox my body...that's what I did and I'm seeing a major difference. .when I fall off my regime I start breaking out again ...hope this helps someone out there..do your research on where your acne is located on your face and research the underlying cause of why it's there and try to fix it..it may be a major health issue also..

I have been using lemons topically for about two weeks now, and the results are so far beyond anything i imagined. Before i started using lemons i had a nasty breakout from a sun lotion that i had tried out, so i began searching for something that would help me clear it up. I was not free of acne before the breakout, but moderately acne prone with areas of spots coming and going. I stumbled upon the lemon solution here on acne.org, read the positive reviwes, and decided to give it a go. Here's how i do it: I use cleansing products from Lush, most of which are very good and fully, or almost, all naturall. After cleansing, I simply apply freshly squeezed lemonjuice on my face with a cottonpad and leave it on for about 1 hour or sometimes overnight. A few times a week, I also apply honey about 20 minutes after I've applied the lemonjuice. Leave it on for about 1 hour, it's truly a killer combination! After removing the lemonjuice, i apply some organic aloe vera on my face and then the Saving Face serum from Lush. This follow-up moisturizing combination has also worked wonders for me. The aloe vera does a great job in healing the skin, while the serum is an excellent moistureizer. My skin is now much less oily at the end of the day then it was prior to this new regimen. The results: After my big breakout, which was one of the worst I've ever had, my skin has recovered and is now almost 100% free of acne and i don't have a single new scar to show for it. The ones that i alredy had have faded slightly, my skin is much more matt and even toned. All of these results were seen in about two weeks, and hopefully it will continue to improve my skin. I'm also very happy that I've found an almost 100% naturall remedy for my skin issues. Your face will probably look red and irritated when you apply it the first few times, or atleast mine did. Don't let this put you off, the redness fades after a little while and after a few d

Pros:

Acne is reduced significantly
Prevents future breakouts b/c of its acidic
helps exfoliates
inexpensive

Cons:

stings ALOT

My skin was at its worse and my self esteem was plunging with it. I tried to avoid looking in the mirror at all times b/c it was a constant reminder of acne on my face. I always felt that people were looking at my acne and not at me when i was talking to them. I was desperate to find ways of reducing and hopefully finally stopping the acne from appearing on my face. I read online about lemons that helps reduce acne and the scarring that follows with it. Although, I also read that drinking water with some lemon juice is good for acne and helps kick up your metabolism in the morning haha. I just used it topically and I have to say it really does the trick, but like it said it WILL sting while u leave it to sit on your face. It just takes a few weeks for it to stop stinging. My face was slowly getting better, but the scars from previous acne breakouts were still there. I like to call them battle scars since it sounds cooler LOL anyways. Lemons also help your skin to exfoliate from what i read so as i kept using it every night. My scars were slowly going away too. I know that this description is pretty long and it isnt enough to justify how well lemons do the trick since i avoided taking pictures also.... So please give lemons a try and see if it does anything for your acne! :D
