Pros:

Fades red marks
Gets rid of pimples
Overall massive improvemenet in face

Cons:

Stings the first couple times
Can irritate skin
Makes you really pale

What I did was I squeezed a quarter lemon right onto my face then used a cotton pad to make sure my whole face was covered in the lemon juice. I did this in the morning and at night after washing my face. Within 3 days almost all of my red marks and pimples had vanished. However, I stopped this because it had made me way too pale and within a week my acne had come back just as bad. Then i immediately began using the lemon juice again and once again my acne cleared up. This is truly no coincidence, it really works. Except the second time it took closer to a week rather than 3 days. If yoou have open cuts or popped pimples this will sting a lot but you will find that this cleans out the pore, keeps the pimple from coming back and allows it to heal faster since it contains plenty of vitamin C. Do not use right before going out into the sun as this will irritate the skin, make it really red and dry your skin out badly. Also, try not to get carried away with it. It can be tempting to use this more than twice a day but your skin may not be able to handle this and it will make things worse.

Works - but be careful.
Hi! I have hyper pigmentation and acne scars. My skin type is dry. First time I tried this: I applied lemon slice's juice onto my scars on my forehead and left it on for about 10 minutes, then washed it off. I did it for a full week, once a day. It cleared my scars significantly, but it caused small white bumps all over my forehead, which went away after a couple of days. Because of that, I didn't really try it again for another couple of months. Second time trying this: I apply the juice to my scars, and leave it for 10 minutes. I only do this once to twice a week to avoid any sensitive reactions with my skin. I wash it away with soap and water. This method has really helped boost the look of my scars and allow it to fade out quicker. I suggest to squeeze lemon juice onto a small plate and then apply with cotton swab in your specific scar areas, because if you apply it on skin without imperfections, it can possibly cause an unwanted reaction. Do this technique at night. Good luck! :)

Cons:

Can cause hyper pigmentation

I have not used this for the treatment listed here, but I did want to warn you all of a potential side effect that I experienced while making margaritas! When lime or lemon juice is left on the skin and you enter the sun your skin will hyper pigment a.k.a. phytophotodermatitis. If you google it there are scary pictures which are extreme cases. Just be aware. Use this indoors and rinse completely before catching any rays!!

Pros:

Great Complexion
Skin is glowing
Dries out your skin in a good way
fades Scars
and shrinks pimples/dries them out
and makes you feel more confident!

Cons:

It stings at first, then it goes away.

I never thought something so simple and natural could actually work. I have been battling with acne since i can remember and tried BP for a while and clindamycin and it worked wonders for about year then stopped working. I was put on tetracycline and it did nothing for me. Just when i thought nothing could work I decided to cut a lemon up and rub it directly onto my face. I started noticing results THE DAY AFTER i was getting compliments on my skin also. I LOVE LEMONS!!! I recommend applying lemon directly onto your face for best results. TRY THIS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

Cons:

stings a little bit, kinda makes your face itchy for about 2 minutes, but once the 2 minutes are up, the irritation stops (plus i have sensitive skin)

it has almost cleared everything up apart from a few pimples near my hairline. i have only be using lemon juice for a week and the results have been amazing. the stinging is manageable, and definatley worth it. i have tried many things, and this one has worked the best :)

Pros:

Gets rid of red-ness, dark spot and makes pimples smaller.
Evens out your skin tone like dark patches.
Fast results.

Cons:

Stings for about 30 sec but THAT bad..

You have to try this! i bought sooo many products that my mom even went crazy, anyway i never knew that if you just use a oil-free cleanser and lemons it will go in atleast a month! If it stings too much just add a little water to it, leave it overnight it gets much softer and clearer trust me! Oh, use it with a tissue or cotton ball. GOOD LUCK.

Pros:

- Cheap,
- Easy to use,
- IT WORKS,
- Fades scars,
- Helps you treat your pimples quickly.

Cons:

- Stings a little
- Can be itchy sometimes

To be honest I used to have horrible big pimples on my face and used to pop them as well which sounds unpleasant I know. Then I decided to try out some of the acne products that had benzoyl peroxide(BP), i used panoxyl treatment cream with 10% BP and face wash with 10% BP.. they worked for like a month then my acne just got worse as soon i stopped using it. So I looked for home remedies that had no side effects and after researching for couple of hours i saw that loads of people were recommending to drink lemon juice or apply it on the face. I've been using it now for about a month and half and must say the result is just spectacular. my skin was alot bumpy but now its almost not bumpy at all. I'm very impressed with this home remedy. Its not a 24 hour solution if you have big pimples its all about just being patient. I'll continue to use this for couple of months and hopefully my skin will be fully clear. I'll write a review again in couple of months time :) Conclusion/Bottom Line: Who needs all the acne treatment crap when you have lemons! :)
