Pros:

Soft hair and skin. Face is almost completely clear. Skin less oil. Happy mood.

Cons:

Really bad skin purging at first. Sometimes fish burps.

Well I've been struggling with acne for about 15 years. I'm hoping fish oil will completely clear me up. So far good results. I've only been taking this for 2 weeks and feeling positive. I started taking the Nature Made brand. It has 720mg omega 3 in 2 softgels meaning it only has 360mg omega 3 in 1 softgel. Doesn't list the exact amount of EPA/DHA. There may be a lot of fillers. I read for good results you must take in about 3-4 grams of omega-3. So I took 10 of these softgels per day equaling to 3.6 grams/day for about a week. Initially my skin purged in which I expected because I have a lot of acne, the cystic kind. Then towards the end of the week the cysts started to get smaller and breakouts less. Cost me about $10 for 100 softgels. You can buy in a drugstore/grocery store. New week now...I decided to take Arctic Pure Ultra Potency Omega3 Fish Oil. This one I got from a health food store. In 1 softgel it has EPA 450mg, DHA 340mg plus other omega-3 60mg equaling to 850mg of omega-3. WOW!!! So far, I love this one! I only have to take 4 softgels (3.4 grams)/day. My hair and skin feel amazingly soft and skin is definitely clearing up. I hope it keeps doing that. Only bad thing about this brand is it cost me $35 for 120 softgels so I only have a month supply. But It is so worth it. In this brand I believe in better results. The fish oil is molecularly distilled, high EPA & DHA content, and less fillers. For those of you afraid of skin purging, don't be!!! It might last for a week or 2 but once you get past it...you'll have great skin. I'm speaking to myself too...LOL.

Pros:

Healthy hair, skin, and nails
Clears moderate acne
Good for the brain
Good for cardiovascular health

Cons:

Tastes bad

If you really want to get rid of your acne, don't use fish oil capsules. I recommend a liquid version. The texture is kind-of gross, but fresh and unrefined fish oil, especially cod liver oil, has much higher amounts of EPA, DHA, and Omega-3. All these are great for your skin, hair, brain, and heart. Also you don't have to deal with swallowing a huge pill.

Pros:

cheap to buy, easy to swollow gel caps compared to vitamin pills, easy to remember to take with food cuz you cant overdose on fish oil:)

Cons:

not a dramatic change so far only been using it for a week so far im too impatient to see what really works.

i bought this because of some research and ive been using it for about a week 1000mg 3 times a day with food and i jsut finished my period this week and had a few pimples, i noticed that the inflamation went down really fast compared to usual, thats definately a plus because when its a big pimple it takes at least a few days. hope this continues to work and continues to help improve....best of luck to everyone:)

Pros:

Freaking amazing, I can't begin to say how much I love this stuff.

I take 2 a day, 1000MG Each.

Improves my mood, I notice I am much happier after taking these.

My hyperpigmentation is going away, not amazingly fast, but its very noticeable that they are going away, and its only been..14 days or so? Probably less.

HUGE reduction in pimples, use to get 2 or 3 a day, now I get one every...4 days? I just got my first one in 4 days last night.

Cons:

None, I don't even have those "Fish burps" that people mention.

Buy it 100%.

Pros:

~Reduction in number of pimples
~Skin not so inflamed anymore

Cons:

~If you don't take it with food, you burp up a really gross, fishy taste
~The size of the pills are really big

I really wish I started taking fish oil supplements a lot sooner! I read a book called The Clear Skin Diet, and the author talked about how taking at least 1000 of omega 3 from fish oil everyday helps reduce inflammation in the body, and therefore reduces acne! It's definitely worth a try, but it definitely takes time to see results.

Pros:

I have seen a dramatic improvement in my skin after only 3 weeks! My moderate acne disappeared and dark marks haven't been appearing after a breakout. My skin looks more hydrated and even. For the first time I have received compliments on my skin!

Cons:

Having to swallow huge pills several times per day.

Try it you have nothing to lose!

Pros:

- Brought me from 95% clear to 100% clear!
- Inexpensive
- A whole HOST of additional health benefits
- Puts me in a good mood

Cons:

- Takes 4-6 weeks to see results
- 3 pills a day (the 3-in-1 pills are HUGE!)

I FULLY recommend fish oil as a dietary supplement for all walks of life. I did a ton of research on it before I took the supplement (like any other supplement I take), and found I could only benefit from it. I have been taking fish oil daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for about five weeks now and my skin has never been smoother and silkier. I had very light to light acne before, but now it is honestly not even a factor. I feel 100x better now that I'm taking it, my memory is way better, and it even puts me in a better mood. THINGS TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING: - FDA approves the company for scanning their fish for safe mercury levels - 1000mg of Omega-3 (in the Americas we already have enough Omega-6 and 9 in our diets that we don't need all three) - 180mg of EPA - 120mg of DHA - Enteric coated (no fish burps! As it dissolves after it gets past your stomach.)

Pros:

Improvement of mood
Improvement of acne -- almost gone!
Less depression and anxiety

Cons:

Heartburn

For anyone who has not taken fish oil supplements in the past, I recommend starting them up. I have been using Lindberg Ultra Concentrated Fish Oil (625mg EPC / 245mg DHA) for 15 days, and I can already feel a difference in both my acne, and my mood. I have been severely depressed in the past, and I already fee much better than I have felt in months. Fish oil takes time to work, and it's definitely worth the wait!

Pros:

soft clean skin
reduces redness in hyperpigmentation
natural way to clear acne

Cons:

needs to be taken throughout the day with meals for best results

I have always suffered from periodic breakouts that would leave stubborn red marks on my face for months and months. After reading so many great reviews on fish oil i decided to give it a try and i am so happy that i did. Within a week the red marks on my face began getting smaller and smaller, and after one month, my skin has really brightened and evened out. I have tried some different whitening creams that simply did not work but fish oil has really made a difference in my complexion and it is getting better day by day. I also recommend evening prim rose oil because it shares the anti inflammatory properties that fish oil has and it also works great for clearing acne and eczema!

Pros:

- Good for you
- Helps your skin

Cons:

- None take 2-3 a day very easy!

I started taking fish oils 6 months ago and still had breakouts so this is not a cure but my breakouts were bareable! I would take 2-3 capsules a day. Along with my twice a day facial regimen. I didnt think it really worked until I stopped taking the fish oils. My skin is now a huge mess and I finally put together that it must be because I stopped taking my fish oils.. I really dont think it does miracles it didnt clear my face up completely but it stopped my skin from getting really bad like it is now. I get bad face/chest acne and it was under control until I stopped taking it. So if your going to try it and it works you need to keep taking it everyday.
