Pros:

Reduces amount of breakouts significantly, good for body overall.

Cons:

Annoying to have to take the pills everyday, the cost adds up over time, I plan to get the oil next as it's most cost efficient in the long run compared to the pills, also I'd prefer to take 1 and 1/2 tsps of oil a day compared to 9 pills a day.

Sense I started taking fish oil the amount of inflamed acne I get has decreased dramatically. As opposed to maybe 5-10 active pimples at one time I now have 3-4 at most it's normally about 2. I highly suggest others considering trying this go ahead and do so. Also, I take 3000 mgs a day, which I think is very important, on my pill bottle it says each serving provides 12000 mgs of omega 3 but in reality the nutrition label reads that it's only about 720 mgs per serving (2 pills), hence the reason I take 9 pills per day, 3 with breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. which is annoying and the reason why I intend to get the oil. Overall though I have no intention to ever stop taking these and I am really amazed at the reduction of acne I've seen sense incorporating them!

Pros:

No after taste in a one-a-day pill.

Cons:

None.

I have taken Spring Valley brand fish oil caps for about 2 weeks and my skin is greatly improved. I take one pill per day, in the evening after dinner. The Spring Valley brand eliminates toxins and there is no after taste. I really like the results.

Pros:

- Proven to be effective against depression
- Reduces inflammation

Cons:

I have been taking fish oil everyday for more than a year to keep depression at bay and I can say it works quite well. Plus it reduces inflammation in the body so it can help acne.

Pros:

It's great helps with acne and helps prevent breakouts. Another thing for people taking this. Freeze the pills and you won't burp up the oil and take them right before a meal. NO MORE BURPS!!!!

Cons:

none except that they are big pills to swallow.

They help me so much with acne and even if it doesn't help you they are so good for you it's cheap and nutural. All these chemical remedies caused me major irritation but what i find helps best is the naturall remedies and this is natural. to try what do u have to lose?

Pros:

easy to take, not expensive, good for your whole body anyway!!

Cons:

In some people, they could cause a little indigestion and/or repeat on you; if that happens, buy the enteric coated fish oil pills, they're a little more expensive, but they won't repeat on you at all.

My daughter takes for acne: fish oil, 200 mg Vitamin E, Vitamin C and acidopholous supplements. Also, do not take a multi-vitamin with iodine and salt can aggravate acne. Try to cut back on salt comsumption a bit, if possible. Buy supplements when on sale at any drugstore or at Costco or BJ's.

FYI Costco has a great fish oil deal. It is the Natures made brand. Very affordable!!! I paid around $14-16 for a 6 -12 month supply (depending on how much you take)
