Pros:

Miracle for my skin. No more cysts, blackheads gone. Not overly oily. Redness is gone

Cons:

None

I've had terrible acne and oily skin for around 4 years Ive tried EVERYTHING then one day I decided I was doing to much and everything I had been doing to my face was so unnatural it couldn't be good. So I stopped using strong face washes retin A and antibiotics and within a week and a half my skin looks 100x better!! I'm now taking 1000 mg tablets of fish oil twice a day 2 at a time along with a natural face wash that includes jojoba and castor oil.

Pros:

Clears up skin fast
No more oily skin
Shrinks pore size
No more cystic acne
Super easy to take
Don't have a bad taste or smell

Cons:

NONE!

I can't believe I am barely finding out about this magic little pill! I am 25 years old and have been fighting oily, acne prone skin for the past 10 years. I also got put on thyroid medication which messed up my hormones and gave me really bad cystic acne. Many days it was so bad that I was in tears and didn't want to leave the house. I started taking this 1 month ago after a friend recommended it and within 3 days my skin went from horrible to beautiful! I really recommend this supplement. I take the Spring Valley brand found at Walmart. It is the all natural enteric, regular strength fish oil, 1000 mg. (300 mg of omega 3). Hope this helps others out there like it did for me!

Pros:

Shiny hair, strong nails, and glowing skin! Reduces acne a LOT!!! It's cheap!

Cons:

It's a little hard to remember to take them when you first start.

I have had acne for 9 years; I tried everything from proactiv to TONS of over the counter acne medications, and natural remedies. I am 19 and my hormones are going nuts causing the most severe breakouts I have hever had and I was beginning to feel really desperate(my face was covered in bumps and itching horribly) so I started doing intense research on acne to find out it's an inside thing, not an outside thing. I truly believe regulating your hormones is the best thing you can do for your acne. I have been using gnc lemon flavored fish oil pills for about two months now along with a 30 min cardiovascular workout everyday and my acne has calmed down so much! I have very sensitive skin, I can't moisturize or wear makeup(20 pimple breakout the next day). My skin has improved so much that I have been washing my face only once a day at night with PLAIN SOAP and my skin only has 3 pimples right now and it's that time of the month! Not only has my acne decreased, but the pimples I get now are less red and inflamed, they are whiteheads and blackheads that come right out without any sore created! My skin doesn't itch anymore, it's glowing and moisturized. I really recommend this, if your conecerned about mercury being in the pills, vitamin C kelates mercury out your body, so grab some OJ or eat an orange daily. =]

Pros:

Skin all over body feels extremely soft
Body acne (back, butt, and inner legs) almost completely gone
Blackheads on nose reduced
Pores shrank
Oil on T area reduced drastically (surprising!)
Mood significantly increased

Cons:

Quite honestly I haven't had any problems with fish oil

My results are over a 2 week period of taking fish oil pills. I am so happy with the result and will be taking these supplements for the rest of my life for sure. I have very odd skin, it's dry in places and oily in others, however it seems like these pills have balanced it all out. I mainly have body acne which is so extremely hard to get rid of but this has really helped me. I also cleanse with Spectro Gel which also gently helps to get rid of body acne. Definitely worth a try if you're desperate and are willing to try anything.

Acne is smaller
Acne is less red

Cons:

Fishy taste with cheap pills

Taking 2-3 pills a day with food, and its a great natural anti-inflammatory which helps with a lot of areas on the body including acne. Even cut down on my migraines a little.

Pros:

Improvement of mood
Improvement of acne -- almost gone!
Less depression and anxiety

Cons:

Heartburn

For anyone who has not taken fish oil supplements in the past, I recommend starting them up. I have been using Lindberg Ultra Concentrated Fish Oil (625mg EPC / 245mg DHA) for 15 days, and I can already feel a difference in both my acne, and my mood. I have been severely depressed in the past, and I already fee much better than I have felt in months. Fish oil takes time to work, and it's definitely worth the wait!

Pros:

Easy to take
Many have been the root of my decline in acne
good hair! reverses greying supposedly

Cons:

nothing!

I am taking vitamins and minerals that include fish oil. I have been taking this for a week, and my acne is under control. I have not said that ever. It is awesome. Any skeptics out there, why not try it? It is good for your health and balances out omega 6, bringing the ratio down, and upping the anti inflammatory factor. two words; Do it

Pros:

Healthy hair, skin, and nails
Clears moderate acne
Good for the brain
Good for cardiovascular health

Cons:

Tastes bad

If you really want to get rid of your acne, don't use fish oil capsules. I recommend a liquid version. The texture is kind-of gross, but fresh and unrefined fish oil, especially cod liver oil, has much higher amounts of EPA, DHA, and Omega-3. All these are great for your skin, hair, brain, and heart. Also you don't have to deal with swallowing a huge pill.

Pros:

+ Clearer, smoother skin.
+ Shinier hair (my hair is usually dull).
+ My joints seem to click less... I normally sound like a defective ball joint doll for some reason.

Cons:

- Icky aftertaste.
- Remembering to take them consistently!

Overall, I'd recommend people try fish oil if they haven't given it a bash yet - you never know until you try! I've found it has helped me, and in combination with zinc, it's had a tremendous impact on the overall condition of my skin, not just my acne. My skin is softer and smoother, and my complexion has evened out a fair bit. It's difficult to remember to take them, but I've found that setting two alarms on my phone is enough of a reminder. The fishy burps afterward aren't very sexy but if you take deodorized fish oil from a bottle you might be alright. I've gotten used to it, mostly. You generally won't see improvement for a little while but be patient, you're doing your body lots of favours by taking fish oil, especially if you're like me and you don't like to eat seafood.
