Pros:

made hair shine
actually curbed my eating
helped with loosing weight

Cons:

ACNE, ACNE, ACNE
and gave a rash effect on arm had to use vitamin e to get rid of it.

Because of the bad acne after 28 days of use as of today march 17,2011 i am deciding to stop today. If you have dry skin and acid don't bother you than this will be great for you .but if you have oily skin and acid affects you for example, soda or orange juice. Than this is not for u!

Pros:

One type cleared up my acne.

Cons:

Another type from the same brand made it worse.

I bought Spring Valley 1200 mg with 360 mg of Omega-3 (EPA+DHA). Without reading the instructions, I began taking them one softgel per day. The mild acne I used to have was gone. After 2 months, I read the instructions. It said you are supposed to take 3 a day. I don't want to take 3 a day. So, I went and bought the more potent one a day version from the same brand. Spring Valley "Triple Strength" 1400 mg with 900 mg of Omega-3 (EPA+DHA). I started taking them one a day. Within 3 days, I saw a couple of pimples. I thought it can't possibly be fish oil -- it must be someting else. But, as long as I took fish oil softgels I kept getting more acne. Every fish oil review I have read states that the Triple Strength version goes through much higher quality processing and is better for you than regular strength. But, the cheaper, regular strength version from the same brand, taken in smaller than recommended dosage was what worked for me.

Pros:

Clear skin/complexion
Noticeable reduction is blackhead or Sebaceous filaments

Cons:

Left two small cyst

I considered this supplement a double edge sword. I've read other reviews regarding their problems with cyst after consuming fish oil so therefore I was kind of expecting it. Two small cyst that hurts minimally when touched, but it wasn't too bad at all. Now on the other side the blackheads or Sebaceous filaments (not sure which) is reduced significantly. And my face complexion has really beginning to glow. All I did was taking one pill a day for 2 days. I'm very sensitive to stuff like medicine and supplement, I don't know if that got to do with anything. I probably try 1 pill a week. LOL. I would def. give this a try and take it slow and see what happens. Ex. don't take 5-10 pills at first. I also use Mama M2 20% lotion.

Pros:

- Reduces Acne
- Softer Skin

Cons:

- Does Not Get Rid Of Ance
- If You Stop Taking It You Will Break Out

I was impressed with fish oil at first. It works well and really cleared up my face. So I stopped taking it for about a week and my acne got a lot worse. Once you start you cannot stop taking it. It is a nice easy way to prevent big pimples.

Pros:

healthy
reduces inflamation
good to skin

Cons:

a little expensive
doesn't eliminate acne

I eat fish oil every day and it has helped my skin a lot. My skin is not clear, but the fish oil prevents zits to grow enormous. It calms down infection in the skin. I also noticed that I have become a little more happy after I started eating the oil, but then again - who knows if that is the reason..

Pros:

I think there are a lot of long term benefits and it seemed that the fish oil helped with mood.

Cons:

Every time I go through a fish oil phase, I seem to get blind pimples. My skin is usually prone to small hormonal flare ups, but these are bad. Maybe I take too much - around 6 per day to help with depression - but then I stop and my skin clears.

I think fish oil is great if you don't have this problem, I noticed someone else said the same thing (anonymous in australia mentioned deep cystic acne which is the same i think)- it would be great to hear if anyone else has had similar experience, as my naturapath fried says it is not possible for fish oil to cause acne, so I keep trying. I think it is the fish oil though.

Pros:

Good for you

Cons:

None

It didn't do anything for my acne. It didn't help with oily skin either. I took two capsules daily for 2 months without any noticeable difference. Fairly harmless to try though so give it a shot.

Hi everyone, I heard about fish oil's benefits for acne in The Toronto Star and got very interested in looking online for more information. I was very surprised to see how much information is available! So I bought Carlson's Super Omega 3 Fish Oil from my local health store and today was my first day. I asked the sales woman, she said to start by taking 1 a day of 1000 mg. I took one today and hope that it makes a difference to my skin! I'd love to hear other people's experiences with this product!
