Pros:

Has benzoyl peroxide in it, which everyone knows is good for acne. Helps dry up oily skin.

Cons:

Burns a little, makes face red and BLEACHES everything it touches.

I don't think Duac is any different from an over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide treatment. I've been using it along with Tazorac (which is awesome) and Doryx and my skin is definitely improving, but I just don't think Duac is worth the cost.

Pros:

I did notice that it started to clear up my acne in the first few months, but after that it didn't help much.

Cons:

Stopped working after a few months, dryness, and it has a perticular scent.

It worked for a while, but overall didn't really help.

Pros:

works AMAZINGLY in the beginning and then slowly stops working. Don't get me wrong, my skin would probably be much worse if i weren't on it...but its still not at all what I'd like it to be.

Cons:

redness and really dry skin. skin WILL become immune to it after awhile.

This product is good if you have mild acne. For those of you (like me) with moderate acne, this just doesn't cut it. I still have to wear make-up because my skin still is not good...Im still looking for something that will work better, I'm just hesitant to go on accutane.

Pros:

Almost completely eliminates zits in your problem areas. Didn't get super dry and flakey.

Cons:

Turns problem areas red a significant amount of the time which makes red marks way more obvious and draws more attention to the problem area. Not cheap.

A non-elegant solution (but is any acne solution elegant...?) that, for me, HAS ONLY WORKED ON STOPPING ZITS. NOTHING MORE. This absolutely did not remove blackheads, even out skin tone, or fade red marks. Seems like more of a clumsy, teenage-geared product. Can give me red cheeks at age 25...not the best look. I only use this once at night. Excellent at stopping zits but not very kind on the skin. Would not in a million years try this twice a day. I WILL USE THIS ONLY AS LONG AS I STOP GETTING ZITS WHERE IT IS APPLIED. THE SECOND IT STOPS WORKING AS WELL AS IT DOES NOW AT ITS ONLY PRO, SO LONG, BENZACLIN!

Pros:

Not sure yet, just started it

Cons:

Burns the skin hardcore. Even with moisturiser my face looks sunburned.

i just started it so i dont no if it works or not yet, but based on my past experiences with multiple acne medications, it probably wont. my face looks sunburend after putting it on and it kind of hurts for a couple hours after i put it on, and it smells too. im just hoping that after a couple of days my skin will start to tolerate the duac and maybe be less red?

Pros:

It make my skin feel smooth after I apply it. It have cleared up my mild but stubbern acne.

Cons:

My face is always red..but I also go tanning and use multiple products. I use proactive to wash my face in the Am and the apply benzaclin before my bare minerals make up..at night I use proactive to wash and then rosula medicated pads to make

sure all of my makeup is gone..then apply te proactive refining mask all night! this system works amazinggggg its a lot but i HATE PIMPLES...the only time I really break out is if I drink alcohol or before my period. REMEMBER ALWAYS USE OIL FREE PRODUCTS...make up and lotions!!! NEVER EVER PUT OILY PRODUCTS ON YOUR FACE even if you have dry skin..you are just asking for trouble. nicomide vitamins are also really helpful in reducing redness NOT PIMPLES. in case of emergencys mush up tylenol and add a small amount of water to make a past and add directly to the problem overnight if possible...good luck!

Pros:

will work extremely well for a time if your skin is sturdy

Cons:

after a while, your skin will not tolerate the product. makes skin unbearably sensitive.

if you have sensitive skin, you will be left with a scab-like look on your face, like somebody painted on your face with red paint, for a week or more. it is truly horrifying, and impossible to hide with makeup. if you dont have sensitive skin, you will get amazing results, clear up your acne completely, while you remain using the product. acne will return when you stop using it.

Pros:

Really works well! Most effective treatment I have used (have tried blu-u light, dieting, accutane, pro-activ, retin-a, etc.)

Cons:

Very expensive! Does not clear all of acne, but helps maintain skin. Dries skin.

If you've tried everything w/ no results, this is as close as you can get to an acne miracle saver. Duac studies show that nearly 60% of people see an improvement within weeks (read the prescribing info that comes w/ the medicine, interesting stuff). Within a year I went from 20-30 pimples to 2-3. Not useful against redmarks. It hasn't kept me 100% clear, but the medicine is still very effective. I always fear they'll stop making the stuff! If you haven't had luck, try Dan's way and use a LOT more on your face. If I skip a couple days... the pimples return. So unfortunetly I think my skin is dependant on it. It's quite expensive too. Without insurance its like $150 a tube. A tube last me about 1.5 months. I always recommend this stuff.

Pros:

Good product! Heals acne FAST! Evens skin tone.

Cons:

Dries skin out but not too badly. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS EXACTLY and only use a SMALL amount. I reccommend to NOT use a moisturizer bc it can make things worse. It will only appear to be dry after the first hour of application, after its fine.

Overall its a great product/ Ive only been on it for 3 days but ive seen improvment fast. Even thought its a bit pricey, i highly reccomend it. And ive tried EVERYTHING. even proactive, which didnt help.

Pros:

Clears acne with time

Cons:

Causes major redness
Causes very dry skin

This is not an over night solution. After about a month of use my zits started to go away but the side effects are not worth it. They zits might have gone my skin was left looking like a tomato. When I would get out of the shower my skin would crack from the dryness even if I had been using moisturizer. The other night I tried to use it as spot treatment. The next morning I woke up the zits were not gone and I had red blotches all over my face. So even if the zits are gone the redness and dryness leaves your skin looking horrible - not worth it.
