Pros:

tigtens up my skin
skin feels less oily than normal

Cons:

not sure yet....

I just used it for the first time this morning, I was perscribed to use this and retin-a micro at night. I am also supposed to take amoxycylin 2 times a day. Does anyone have experience using these together? Do they work? I am desperate!

Pros:

affordability, works fast (at first)

Cons:

Dries out skin, stops working after a period of time

Benzaclin was my LIFESAVER...but after a year of using it, it stopped working and my skin got even worse. It made my skin very dry and sometimes even peel. I'm giving it a high rating because it worked with me for a little while but now, I'm on a new prescription...Better luck to beginning Benzaclin users!

Pros:

It works very fast.
It works well.

Cons:

It can cause delayed allergy.
Costs a lot.
Stains things.

I tried this cream and within 10days my skin was remarkably clearer, though obviously it wasn't 100% but i never got to continue with Duac as i had a delayed allergic reaction to the benzoyl peroxide. My face swelled, my skin on my chest, fact, neck and shoulders burnt, red, itchy and very sore. I had to have 4 steroids a day and an antihystamine which still hasn't cleared it up!!! My god this rash drives me insane, it keeps me awake and is so sore and itchy. Seriously, u get this cream, put it on your shoulder for a week first to be sure that you are not allergic. Regardless of it all though, i do still recommend it!! Mad i know, but it really does work!-well, if you're not allergic to it lol!!

Pros:

Not sure yet just started using.

Cons:

pricey, even with insurance.

I just started this product about a week and a half ago, I'm not sure how well it is working because I have gotten a couple new cysts since starting it, I am hoping it gets worse before better, but overall I think it is pretty good.

Pros:

my skin wasnt as oily & the pimples seemed smaller

Cons:

the first morning after applying it at night, i woke up with very red, dry, itchy cheeks, but my forehead didnt have any problems. that night i only applied it to my forehead and my cheeks were still a little red from the previous application.

3 nights after my first application (which was at night) and my cheeks are still pretty dry, but the pimples i had are definitely smaller. i really want to get rid of my pimples which aren't too bad to begin with, just really annoying and desgusting. hopefully this works !!

Pros:

Not sure, since I just started using it.

Cons:

Makes my skin quite red when I apply it (at night).

Am using this now that doc took me off of Doryx, and am also using Differin, which is working well, so not sure if I even want to stay on the Duac. What I've been doing is applying the Duac only to spots on my face where I know I typically tend to have issues (i.e. jawline and one of my cheeks.) Otherwise not sure if this is one of those meds that makes your skin get worse before it gets better, because if it is, I have already been through that for the Differin and do NOT want to have to do it all over again for this!

Pros:

It's not very greasy, so you don't get that heavy, clogged feeling. It seems to make the redness lessen.

Cons:

My doctor told me to be very patient with this product. She said to use it for at least 2 months before I could see definitive results. You can't overexpose the medicated skin to the sun for very long, and, as it's summer, it bums me out.

I don't know if it will work for me in the long run yet, but right now, it's making the redness and swelling go down a bit.

Pros:

Clears up Acne

Cons:

Leaves face red and tender...and it feels greasy...and hurts.

I don't know...I used it for a while, and it worked, but then it started to turn my face under my eyes bright red...I couldn't even apply my moisturizer because my face hurt so bad there. If you have tough skin, go for it, but if it starts to turn your skin red, stop using it, because the redness will only get worse and more painful...
