YES, BUY THIS! IF YOU HAVE CLOGGED PORES, BUMPY SKIN, UNEVEN SKIN TONE, AND NEED YOUR PRODUCTS TO ABSORB BETTER, BUY THIS! AND IF YOU HAVE ACNE READ MY POST TOO!
This machine is a GOD SEND! I did have pretty bad acne for about 3 years and have just recently started clearing it up (not just with this product, I had a parasite and yeast infection, PEOPLE IF YOU SUFFER FROM ACNE GO AND GET A LIVE BLOOD ANALYSIS DONE BY A NATUROPATH, BEST DECISION I EVER MADE IN MY LIFE, I tried sooo many different conventional and holistic procedures and treatment programs (just name it, I've probably tried it) and got to the point that I would cry every night because I was getting so embarrassed about my acne and it was preventing me from going out and enjoying my life. To be honest I was a bit skeptical at first with the whole live blood analysis/live blood screening but for once in 3 years I have seen such a solid improvement. And no more acne is appearing after the treatment for the parasites and yeast. Only wish I went sooner or someone had told me about it, sorry if I'm going off topic but I'm just so happy to finally be having clear skin I couldn't resist!) Anyway! This product is just amazing because it washes and exfoliates your skin so well that your serums and creams absorb so much better! My skin now looks plump and fresh and my skin tone is so even. I have never had beautiful smooth skin (except when I was like 12) but this combined with my vitamin C serum is making my acne scars heal so fast and and getting rid of all those clogged up pores. My pores are looking better everyday and it's only been 1 week! And just so you know I have never written a product review before but I feel like the company deserves to get a review since their product is just doing wonders for me I can't thank them enough. I got the MIA 2 deep pore brush kit that came with the deep pore cleanser. The cleanser is good but I think any good quality cleanser will do (just make sure its paraben and sulphate free! there's is which is a bonus). But if like me, you have uneven skintone, bumpy clogged pore skin, and have trouble removing all traces of makeup (which contributes to clogged pores and acne) then you NEED to buy this! And if you have bad cystic acne (i had all types of acne, little bumps big bumps cystic pussy everything!) or any type of acne, GO SEE A NATUROPATH! but don't just go to one that doesn't do any official tests, go and see one that does live blood screening! They literally show you on a screen what kind of parasites or overgrowing yeasts that maybe be swimming around in your blood and they can detect a host of other range of contributors that maybe causing your acne. I spent a bit of money to do the test but I wasted so much more on other countless products and pills and vitamins that claimed to rid me of acne and they did nothing. I would be willing to pay double what I paid to my naturopath if I knew I was going to get results this good this quickly! anyway enough rambling I'm going to go eat a tim tam haha! (and yes I can even eat sugar now without affecting my acne, I never could before but I am sooo happy cause dam I love my tim tams!) ta ta!

Pros:

clears acne
skin is soft
lines are gone
worth every penny

Cons:

None!

I have been using the Clarisonic for about 2 months now and I can't say enough good things about it. It has changed my skin and my life. I have visited 3 dermatologists and an endocrinologist trying to clear up my adult acne. I am now 30 and this have been a battle for me since age 12. I was so tired of using prescription medications with little results. I really do think the doctors were running out of prescriptions. This was also very expensive. I no longer wanted to go out, see old friends, or even relatives because I was so embarrassed about my skin. Kids would say 'Why do you have so many dots?' Now they say 'Miss, you don't have those dots anymore!' I use the Clarisonic faithfully, every morning and night. I use a gentle cleanser. Simple is better. Get back to the basics. The cleansing cycle is only one minute long. I must admit'I use it for at least 3 minutes each time because my acne was so severe. Fast forward two months. My face is completely clear! I do have one or two pop up once in a while, but they heal much faster now. Someday my scars will be gone as well. Using the Clarisonic makes me happy that I am doing something to make my skin healthier without using any medications. This seems to be a natural and permanent solution. I hope this product works this well for everyone. My deepest gratitude to Clarisonic. Thank you!

Pros:

cleared my skin
skin less oily
products work better
rechargeable
waterproof

Cons:

initially expensive
initial skin purge

I bought the product after seeing it advertised on QVC. I have had acne since I was 13 and now Im 24. Nothing has worked and I didnt want to take medication so this was the last thing to try. Its completely safe for your skin and was recommended for acne prone skin. The first week my skin cleared up a lot and felt really soft, then the purge started. A lot of people seem to give up during this time but SEE THE PURGE OUT. It may last a few weeks, mine lasted about four and it felt like forever. I perservered and it cleared up and my skin has been amazing ever since. Everybody comments on the glow and improvement and other products like your moisturiser sink in much better. Im left with scars now but even they are fading. The last thing to say is IT WILL GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER AND IT WILL GET BETTER. Its totally worth the purge so please please please dont give up.

DISINFECT THE BRUSH HEAD WITH ALCOHOL. I have only used the Clarisonic for a few days, so I can't offer a real review but I want to get the above message out there. If you have acne, the bacteria are going to grow on the brush between uses and you will end up spreading it. Dipping the brush head in 70% isopropyl alcohol between uses will prevent this. I hope this helps someone!

Horrible
The clarisonic made my acne 10x worse and actually tore my skin. I only used it once a day and I even used the softest brush head they offer. I stopped use and bought the Clinique sonic brush and my skin has never looked better and I have NO breakout. It is gentle enough to use twice a day from the start. I would recommend the Clinique sonic brush over the clarisonic any day especially if you struggle with breakouts like myself. Bye bye acne!!!

Miracle tool! Acne Struggler for 16 years.
I've had acne since I was 10 years old and now I am 26. It made me very self conscious and embarrassed all throughout school. I've tried everything from topical creams prescribed by dermatologists, proactive (for a few years), proactive knock-offs and Murad but nothing kept the acne away. It was a constant and exhausting battle. I have oily skin and ,by genetics, large pores. So the combo of the two was just a recipe for disaster. The type of acne I had were mainly white heads and sometimes cystic acne. Last Christmas I was walking in the makeup section of the department store and saw the Clarisonic Mia on display, I decided to buy it and try it out. I was on my 2nd month of birth control (ortho tricyclen lo) at the time and my acne was very bad. Like, I counted 15 pimples occupying my chin and jawline all at once. Yes, I know the BC can purge your skin and make it terribly worse before it gets better, but I do believe the combination of BC and the Clarisonic has improved my skin dramatically. I did not, however, go through a purge stage with my clarisonic. I used it once a day before bed and my breakouts did not worsen when I used it. After the 1st week I noticed a big difference. A lot of my cystic acne had diminished. By the end of the 2nd month my skin was completely clear. Aside from the one or two I get during my time of the month I never broke out like I used to. For the first time in 16 years I had clear skin. It was well worth the money and I can see myself using it for the rest of my life. Note: I always remove makeup first with a wipe and then use a cleanser with my clarisonic and then follow up with toner and lotion with benzoyl peroxide. I am currently using the Clinique Acne Solution set.

Pros:

-enjoyed using it
-seemed to exfoliate well
-lasts a long time on one charge
-can use in shower
-skin felt very clean afterward
-good return policy (Sephora)
-powers off after 1 minute
-reduces fine lines

Cons:

-gave horribly painful, cystic acne after about a week of use
-irritates sensitive skin
-does not live up to the hype (for acne prone skin)
-buyer beware

So I read countless reviews and bought into the hype surrounding the Clarisonic Mia. I was so excited to use this product! After about 5 days of nightly use my skin broke out with the most painful cystic acne I've experienced in recent memory. I continued to use the Mia for about another week and a half, alternating every night and staying away from any active pimples. (FYI - I would first remove my makeup with a sensitive cleansing cloth, then gently apply my Obaji gentle cleanser to my face and use the Mia for 1 min, following instructions). I returned it to Sephora after three weeks. My skin is finally calming down after about a month of hell. I have moderate adult-acne (hormonal) along my jaw and around my mouth. According to my derm my skin is very sensitive. I'm 28 and taking doxycyline. I cannot stress enough that this product does NOT work on acne prone, sensitive skin. You will break out badly. And we're not talking tiny pimples like purging from antibiotic treatment and other meds. We're talking huge, under the skin, painful bumps. It is too irritating for sensitive skin. I think the reviews that expound on the excellence of the Mia are from women with already clear and decent skin. I must admit it does reduce fine lines, probably from increased blood circulation. My skin was so puffy and swollen from the acne outbreak, though, that I started taking Advil regularly to reduce the swelling. (something I've never had to do before). There are other ways to exfoliate (chemical peels, glycolic acid creams) which I advise you to use over this. If you do purchase, please be sure to purchase from a retailer with a good return policy (e.g. Sephora) and consult with your dermatologist first. I'm now on a higher dosage of doxycyline (100mg 2X daily) and am turning to chemical peels and laser genesis to reduce acne scarring. I have no active pimples as of yesterday. I purchased the Mia on April 3.

Pros:

the purge does end!
skin noticeably more glowing
reduction of fine lines
reduction of breakouts
feels so clean!

Cons:

initial purge

I bought the Clarisonic a few months ago, and have been using it in conjunction with Dermalogica special cleansing gel morning and night. I have always had a few spots but my skin had deteriorated in the last 6 months, to the point where I never had totally clear skin days anymore, by the time one round of spots had healed, the next round had already appeared, it would probably be described as moderate acne I suppose. So the Clarisonic - my skin texture improved for the first few days, but then the purge began. Prior to using the Clarisonic, I was aware of clusters of little bumps under my skin, which were obviously potential spots but were dormant most of the time and so I'd pretty much forgotten about them. The Clarisoinc brought everything to the surface. This was bizarre because the spots were like cystic acne, which I've never had before, and it was relatively relentless for a few weeks, (probably 3/4). I came very close to giving up, feeling incredibly disheartened, but I think the only advice to heed at this purge time is to be sensible with the Clarisonic, don't stop using it but do avoid any angry spots or healing scabs (the motion will whip scabs straight off, prolonging the healing period). Anyway the point is that after this pretty horrible purge, my skin is amazing. It is soft, and glow-y, and totally clear, and just looks more plump and radiant. I have never had skin like this in my life! The Clarisonic is my new addiction! It seems obvious now that to achieve skin that looks this healthy, you have to clear out residual muck, which is the purging, but it does not feel so logical at the time. Stick with it! The Clarisonic is not a quick fix but it does work, or at least it did for me!

Quit waiting, BUY THIS! The price is worth it!

Pros:

Daily Use
Waterproof
Feels nice

Cons:

Price
Replacing the brush

Let me tell you, I waited over two years before finally coughing up the money for this thing, and I am so mad at myself for waiting. I finished an 8 month course of accuntane in 2011. While my acne has NEVER come back in the severity it was before the accutane, I would get a couple of pimples a month, I had scarring from previous breakouts, and what really bothered me was that my cheeks felt like sandpaper. I had little tiny bumps along my jaw line. When I took pictures my face always looked grainy. I would get microdermabrasions when I could but at $100 a pop, I could only afford them a few times a year. For over two years I would see and read about the Clarisonic but it was really expensive and I didnt want to spend money if it wasnt going to work. I have used it now for three weeks and my face already looks and feels so much better. My jaw lines is almost completely bump free. My skin looks brighter and fresher, Like I just got a facial!I have been using it at night with Cetaphil cleanser. I take off all my makeup with a makeup wipe, then use the Clarisonic. Why did I wait SO long???? AMAZING product! The reason for the four stars is Ive only been using it for three weeks.

Pros:

Deep Cleans Skin
Reduces Scarring
Reduces Hormonal Acne

Cons:

Initial Price

I have been using the Clarisonic Brush for over a year now, and cannot say enough good things about it. I was really luck and only rarely had acne as a teen, however after suffering from ovarian cancer and changes in my hormones as i got older my skin freaked out and i was breaking out like crazy, I had deep painful cystic acne and nothing was really helping. I intitally got the clarisonic to help remove dry skin, i never felt like regular exfoliators were enough, but the clarisonic is great at removing dry dead skin and for that reason alone I am greatful. However I also noticed that it great started reducing the severity of my acne and now after about a year of use my skin is almost always completely clear, i may get one or two small bumps a month due to hormones but otherwise my skin is clear to the point that i no longer wear foundation regularly. I use it with a gentle cleanser like cethaphi or Clinque as well as a BP lotion at night. In the Am i just cleanse with water and apply moisturizer. I would also like to add that both of my sisters also use the clarisonic after seeing how well it worked for me. They both went through purges that lasted 3-5 weeks stuck with it and are really happy with the results. I would really encourage using a gentle cleanser as all three of us have seen that products for acne make the skin more irritated and dry. And NEVER use it with a scrub the brush alone should be doing the exfoliating, also be sure not to press into the skin let the brush do the work. Good Luck and dont give up on it.
