Pros:

* Cleans and exfoliates the skin
* Fun to use
* One charge lasts a long time
* User and travel friendly (Mia and Mia 2)
* Handle can work with any brush head
* Skincare products absorb into skin better
* Works well with the acne.org regimen if your skin is clear or almost clear
* Can buy online or at stores such as Sephora or Nordstrom

Cons:

* May experience initial breakout purging
* Price
* Might be too abrasive on sensitive skin
* Have to change brush head every 3 to 4 months

I like to keep my reviews short and to the point, but I just have so many great things to say about the Clarisonic brush! I'm currently on the acne.org regimen and absolutely love it, but unfortunately benzoyl peroxide leaves my skin dry and flaky, even when I use glycolic acid to exfoliate. I know Dan (acne.org inventor) says manual exfoliating can be irritating, and I do agree; however, it can be effective at taking away all of the flaky skin if done correctly. Everyone's skin is different, so I recommend starting out using this once a day or once every other day for a few weeks and work your way up to twice a day if needed. I use the Mia 2 with the deep pore cleansing brush head twice a day with my acne.org regimen and LOVE the results. Dryness and flakes are GONE! I never experienced an initial breakout. I would suggest using this if you have mild acne. The Clarisonic might be too abrasive for moderate to severe cases of acne. The Mia models are smaller and more travel friendly, and includes a travel case. I've also owned the Classic Clarisonic handle and it was more bulky than the Mia. But they all work pretty much the same. I prefer and now own the Mia 2. And the brush head can make a huge difference. A lot of people actually prefer the deep pore brush than the sensitive brush. Also, don't use any other new skincare products while first starting to use this so you know exactly what is breaking you out if you experience any reactions. One variable at a time is extremely important. Good luck and remember to start slowly!

Excellent investment for your skin!
I purchased my Clarisonic Plus back in June 2010. Almost 5 years later, it's still going strong, and I can't imagine not having it in my skin care regimen! I purchased the Plus because it also comes with a body brush (which I hardly use, but I figured it's good to have in case I'd want to use it sometimes). There are different brush heads for the face. I've found that Normal is too harsh, but Sensitive is good. I've also used Deep Pore and Acne, and they both work fine. Granted, for the past few years, I've stopped buying the Clarisonic brand heads and purchased generic ones from eBay for a rather low price, but they have done the job for me. I have used the Clarisonic with various cleansers. It's best to use it with something that is not too strong. Currently, I have been using it with Simple gel cleanser. It takes 60 seconds total to use all over the face: 20 seconds each on the forehead and nose/chin area, and 10 seconds on each cheek. There are three settings: low, medium, and high. I prefer the medium setting for everyday use, since I wear face makeup daily. Sometimes I'll skip using the Clarisonic for a day or two if I haven't worn any makeup, but in that time, I find that my skin feels much less smooth, and I see a lot more sebaceous filaments on my nose. I would definitely recommending NOT storing this in the shower. I used to, and one day I changed the brush head and found that there was an abundance of black mold underneath! It was quite a process cleaning it out. I tried using different tools (cotton swab, old mascara spoolie) and cleaners (rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide) to get rid of the mold, but I finally got it clean inside. Now I always store my Clarisonic outside of my shower, wipe both the brush head and the cap clean after each use, and remove the brush head while the device is not in use. I'm really not sure if the Clarisonic has really helped with my acne as far as existing pimples, but the gentle daily exfoliation I'm sure is a great factor in preventing it. Also, if you get the Plus, like I said, it comes with a body brush in addition to the face brush. In fact, I just checked the website right now and apparently they now sell two attachments for the feet as well, making the Clarisonic Plus an even better deal!

Pros:

Cleans face incredibly well, great for removing makeup, allows any topicals (creams, lotions, anti-biotics) to absorb more deeply.

Cons:

Don't press too hard on your face, it will irritate your skin. (The instructions are very clear not to, but I guess some people ignore that.) Honestly, I don't think the price is a con. It is such a quality product.

I love it. My skin feels smooth and soft, it's definitely more consistent. My breakouts disappeared (almost) completely within about 2 weeks. The only thing I am left to deal with are tiny blemishes (probably from my need for makeup) and scarring. This has made a huge difference for me.

Absolutely Love
I bought my clarisonic over a year ago at my dermatologist's office and have since been loving it. I use it every night after taking off my makeup with my cetaphil clothes. I use the clarisonic with my st. ives cleanser and my acne has disappeared significantly. The products is great for cleaning out your pores after having makeup on all day. If you suffer from clogged pores like I do then I definitely recommend this product. My only advice is to be gentle and use the clarisonic once a day or less if possible.

Love Clarisonic - Highly recommended investment

Pros:

easy to use
waterproof
charges easily

The Clarisonic is a little pricey but its worth it! Using the Clarisonic gives a gentle exfoliation without any harsh chemicals. You can use the Clarisonic device anywhere on the face or both. Your skin will be GLOWING and baby soft after first use! Mine holds a charge for several days (I use mine everyday in the shower, I find it easy to help remove makeup in the evenings) TIP: If you use your Clarisonic to remove makeup and the brush gets dirty. Put a little bit of Ivory bar or liquid soap on it. The brush will be white, brand new again! Ivory soap is a super cheap way to clean your Clarisonic brush heads. While its not necessary to use the Clarisonic every day. I find its a luxurious way to pamper my face every night before bed. The clarisonic helps the products you put on your skin absorb better, therefore I use my serums right after the Clarisonic. My skin is fresh, clean, glowing & clear. Do yourself a favor. Stop wasting your $ on cheap product you will just toss after a few uses with no results. Invest in the Clarisonic. We sell it in our store, we its the best!

Pros:

-Buffs out dirt from pores
-skin is softer and smoother
-clearing acne

Cons:

Price but (go to ebay if the price isn't cost friendly) I have the pro for just $150 retail is like 250

ACNE CLEARS FROM THE INSIDE OUT! THE CLARISONIC IS JUST A SUPPLEMENT TO CURE ACNE...change your diet! it is a challenge but do it! don't discourage others from this product. DRINK WATER AND LEAFY GREEN VEGGIES! ok, now, because the clarisonic does aggitates (not irritate) the dirt out of the pores, get a NATURAL CLEANSER. your face isn't made from benzol peroxide, use natures ingredients. try nubian heritage the have alot of natural different products for cheap! as far as dryness, use coco butter, vitamin e oil or something like that. before the clarisonic i would apply coco butter or vitamin e oil and it would just SIT on my face, now my skins absorbs it WELL! my faceisn't oily it looks fresh =). and take fish oil pills if your acne is irritated...if you use the clarisonic as directed you shouldn't have any problems. I didn't I LOVE IT!

Pros:

-Cleanses skin extremely well
-Face feels smoother, softer, cleaner after use
-Exfoliates dull skin off face
-Helped my skin look brighter and healthier
-Cute packaging :) (for the Mia)

Cons:

-Price

I could not be happier with my decision to buy the Clarisonic Mia. My skin had been looking dry/dull, so I decided to invest in this and buy it from Sephora. It is VERY pricey--its only downfall--but to me, it's worth it. Within a few uses I noticed my skin looked visibly brighter, more even toned and healthier. Any dry, dull patches on my face were gone. And my skin just feels so fresh and clean after using! It's like a little facial every time I use it in the shower. I will definitely be using my Mia every day. I also did not suffer from an initial breakout on the Mia (I have read that some people do). But regardless, I would recommend anyone at least try it. This has improved my skin so much!

Pros:

Great for dry skin
Great for sensitive skin
Works well with any cleanser
Softer skin
Reduced blackheads
Reduced cysts
Reduces redness

Cons:

Price
Battery life

I purchased the Clarisonic Mia and after using it for 5 days day and night I have seen a drastic change in my skin. I'm 17 and struggle with blackheads, scars, and jawline/chin cystic acne. I'm currently using Retin A micro and Aczone, and the clarisonic is gentle enough not to irritate my retinol treated skin. The only con I can find is that before makeup my skin is so polished and soft it is as reflective as glass, and this is saying something as my face doesn't normally shine. I would reccomend this to everyone!! I use it with a salycilic acid scrub

Pros:

effective

Cons:

price for replacement brushes

I bought and used the regular Clairsonic a year ago and used my regular anti-acne cleansers. I broke out badly for several weeks and quit using the brush for several months. Over the summer, I decided to try again with a different cleanser. Once combined with Clarins shea butter cleanser and used 1x/day about 5 days per week, the Clairsonic works wonders. I can't help but think that the massive breakouts were due to my skin overproducing oil in reaction to being so thoroughly cleansed; the Clarins product kept my skin well moisturized and calm. Consider that using cheap, harsh, or chemical-based products may be your problem, not the Clairsonic itself.

Pros:

Water resistant
Helped acne
Gives you a nice "glow"
Rechargeable

Cons:

None so far

I have been using this product for a few weeks and WOW. My skin looks amazing. Not like supermodel amazing, but the best I have seen it since I can remember. It most definitely reduced pore size, when I didn't even really consider my pores to be all that big. The key is being gentle with it if you suffer from acne. Some people think that the harder or longer you scrub, the better that it will work, this is not true. Use for one minute at night and one minute in the morning, with a gentle product. Not only does it help with whisking away dead skin cells I have another theory on how it brightens the skin. Since the brush has a nice massaging action, it helps the skin on your face get a nice blood flow to it without being abrasive, so nutrients from vitamins that you make take can nourish your facial skin. I am a LMT and I know that facial massage does wonders for skins appearance, but people who are acne prone should not have someone rubbing oils and such on their face. I only bought the MIA which now retails on [link removed] for $119. I also have the Loreal pro X and this is so far above it.
