Pros:

* Controlled oil to a point
* Took away some minor blemishes

Cons:

*Too drying and smelly! Yuck!
*Didn't really help my acne much..and my acne isnt stubborn so maybe its the product itself?

Well, this product dried out my face (even with my oily skin!). It would control oil but leave flaky patches in its path which wasnt good. I believe this product also didnt work on acne but i dont know because maybe i didnt use it long enough? I did notice a few of my forehead blemishes were gone but not a drastic change. Ugh..I hate to give bad reviews but this didn't really work for me.

Pros:

-makes the skin feel smooth & refreshed
-decreases the appearance of the redness of scars
-feels great to cleanse the skin if oily or from after a workout

Cons:

-the decrease of redness doesnt last as long as I would like
-everytime I pack the bottle to go away for the weekend it leaks a lot

Yes it does help the redness of acne scars. I wish that it would reduce the redness and then kept on making it get less red and less red, rather it decreases the redness then goes back to its normal red in a day and then you use the product again to make it go back down. I don't know if it helps with acne because I am thankfully acne free because of other products but it hasn't irritated it or caused acne to come back. I have bought this product probably ten times and would recommend this product for reducing acne scars and helping self esteem when it comes to acne scars.

Pros:

-didn't dry out my skin
-not oily
-feels natural
-saw results after a few days

Cons:

-price
-doesn't come with on-the-spot treatment

I purchased a free trial years ago thinking I was only going to pay shipping ($4.00). IQ Derma was working great on my skin. I was happy with the product because after using it for a few days, my face looked a lot better. I discovered later that if you do the trial and don't return the product after a about two weeks, they charge you $90.00 (back then, I don't know how much they charge now). I called the company complaining, and they said they would refund the money if I returned the product, which even though I didn't want to do, I had to (I wasn't working then, so I didn't have the money). I decided to try many different products, and I finally found something that started working for me. I got several products that I noticed worked on my face and put them together in one "treatment." My miracle-treatment (based mainly on benzoil peroxide) did wonders until recently. For some reason it just stopped working. IQ derma was always another option for me because even though some of their selling methods are a little unconventional, I tried it, and was happy while using it. After trying several natural and over-the-counter products, I decided to purchase it once again, and I feel like it's one of the best decisions I've made. The first time I tried it, it came with an on-the-spot treatment. This time it didn't, which is why I'm also using ZapZit. It has only been three days, and I can already feel the difference. My skin feels so much smoother. The pimples are dissipating as well as some of the marks/scars left by previous acne. The reason why I'm telling my story is because I know there are many websites telling people this is a scam. I can only tell readers that my experience with this company hasn't been bad. They even offer a refund of the product if you're not satisfied. Make sure that if you purchase it, you do it from the official website. There are many scamers out there, so do your research first. Pros:

Non-drying
Cheaper than Proactive
Mostly natural ingredients

Cons:

More expensive than most store brands

I started using this stuff this week and I've already noticed that it does a better job than most of the stuff I've tried in the past. It heals acne pretty well and doesn't make your skin red and flaky. Plus the ingredients are mostly natural, which I think will help prevent new breakouts. I use this with the blemish stick stuff as well, and it seems to be working pretty well. I would recommend it.

Pros:

Nice smell.
Gentle scrubbing action.
Left my skin feeling clean.

Cons:

Drying.
Doesn't feel like it rinses completely.
It feels funny in your hands, like waxy.
Doesn't fight redness.

This is a great product. I tried Witch Hazel, I tried ProActive, Neutrogena, AcneFree, Clean and Clear. The only other thing that has worked for me was Clean and Clear, but my skin built up an immunity or something. I use this every few days, as it is drying. I counter it with a moisturizer though. I use this scrub, then I follow that with Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser, then a moisturizing gel. It has worked great for me! A definite yes.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
