Clindamycin

Used the product for about a month. Irritated my sensitive skin somewhat but not overly. The product was affordable at $35 but was ineffective for me. I guess the quest continues to find that miracle product.

Pros:

It cost absolutely NOTHING with my insurance!.Cleared my rash and regular bumps up in 3 days! LOVE IT!..so many compliments from coworkers!..The were so shocked it worked so fast!

Cons:

My chin would get irratated and red..but i just stopped putting it there..and its hard to tell if ur using to much when using ur finger..Would use i cotton swab

I just started using the product. Actually i had a rash on my face.They were little red bumps all over my face and i went to the doctors and the called ot a rash they didnt really know what exactly would work but they told me to take soome benedryl and the Clindamycin..well i did and the Clindamycin cleared my skin up the next day!.I still had a few. But i started monday and was clear by friday..not only did it clear the rash it cleared my bumps too..i have a few bumps on my forehead and one medium on my chin..but i think thats because it was bringing the oil out..Right now i get facials once a month and i have been using Jan Marini Benzoyl Peroxide Wash, and Lotion..at night..i hear Clindamycin and Peroxide together is suppose to be excellent..i was going to ask my doctor if i could use the Clindamycin every day..well according to everyone elses blogs i can..So im very pleased!

Pros:

I use the climdamycin 1% gel and so far its been working pretty well. The tiny bumps on my skin are going away and it didn't dry me out.

Cons:

The first week my skin got worse as more pimples came out and it was dry.

My skin clarity has improved and the tiny bumps on my chin are gone! It is very affordable with insurance!

Pros:

DOESN'T IRRITATE MY SKIN, DOESN'T DRY ME OUT, IS PRETTY GENTLE, DOESN'T STAIN CLOTHING

Cons:

ISN'T THE MIRACLE PIMPLE SHRINKER, DOESNT' WORK AS FAST AS SOME OTHER SPOT TREATMENTS

I LIKE THIS PRODUCT FOR THE MOST PART. I HAVE REALLY IRRITABLE SKIN. THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T DRY ME OUT WAHT SO EVER. THE ACNE I HAVE WHEN I APPLY DOESN'T DISAPPEAR BUT IT DOES SHRINK DOWN ALITTLE. I WOULD GIVE THIS A TRY. IT IS A N ANTIBACTERIAL GEL. SO IF YOU HAVE ALOT OF BACTERIA THIS MIGHT HELP.

Pros:

It healed my pimples real quick like a month and people started noticing my face clearing up.

Cons:

I still get a pimple every once in a while but its all cool.

i got immune to this antibiotic quicker than any other that i have taken. although the side effects (STARVING ALL THE TIME! stomach cramps.. gas) were manageable, they sucked. taking 3 pills a day was a pain too.

Pros:

works incredibly well for minor acne when first starting treatment

Cons:

body becomes more tolerant of the antibiotic and stops working

i used to think clindamycin was a miracle gel. when i felt the beginning stages of a pimple forming, i slathered the stuff on at night and woke up to a clearer face. however, after using the product for more than a year, it has stopped working. my skin probably became resistant to the clindamycin.

Pros:

It is great on mild and moderate acne, it cleared my whiteheads for about 2-3 weeks

Cons:

if you stop using it for a while, your acne will probably come back. Also you can became immune to it.

I've been using it for a while for my moderate acne and it worked werry well in clearing them. But you should not use it alone.(it could not help if you use it alone). I used it with minocycline pills(doctor prescription). I didn't saw any side efects( only some redness after applying, but it goes away quickly). It doesn't make the scars better.

Pros:

Clears up my minor acne, and no side effects whatsoever

Cons:

doesnt really work all that well.

USE IT, its cheap and if used with other medicines, even over the counter ones it can really clear your skin up

i have used a product called duac, which is a gel laced with benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. i feel that this product is the product i would recommend the last, out of several prescription medicines i have tried. i feel that oral anti-biotics with a strong face wash (like brevoxyl, which is manufactured by the same company) is more effective combination than duac, probably because in the hot southern weather, i dont get a chance to leave duac on my skin for long. it perhaps gets to stay on my skin for 2 -3 hours before i wash my face. so if you live in a cold northern state, it may work for you better than it did for me. all in all, it's ok. btw, duac should be kept in a cool place like your refrigerator, and should be used within 60days. also coupon is available at [link removed]
