Pros:

does make a difference

Cons:

sensitive, itchy, red skin

i was prescribed a cream called duac by my doctor which contains quite a high dosage of clindamycin and also benzyol perozxide - having never used either by themselves, i am not sure which is to thank for the improvement in my skin but my guess is both of them are. I use this once a day at night only, it makes me skin feel itchy and bumpy like i have a rash :/, but it is only temporary, as when i wake up my skin has calmed down and the itching has stopped. This did not work immediately, infact things got worse for a few days as all my spots came to a head, after that there has been slow and steady improvement. This doesnt actually stop me getting spots, but it stops them getting so big and definately not as red or as obvious, also it seems to be slowly clearing out my pores and improving the clarity of my skin. My skin feels smoother than it has in a long time because i guess of the deeper cleansing of my pores than i have ever had before with over-the-counter products.

Product used: Evoclin (Clindamycin (1%) Foam)

Pros:

Because it's foam, it's not as drying. No initial breakout. Fast results.

Cons:

Nothing miraculous, stopped working after a while, became watery after some time

After my doctor gave me samples, I decided to give it a try. It didn't cure my acne, but it did greatly improve my skin overall. I did still breakout occasionally if I was really stressed out or on my period. Another good thing was that a little bit goes a long way. A sample can (30 mL I think?) lasted me about 3 months. After about 6 months, however, my cysts were coming back so I stopped using Evoclin. Now my cystic acne has gotten so bad that I went to the dermatologist and I am about to start Ziana and oral antibiotics. I'm pretty confident, however, that Evoclin will clear up mild acne, not cystic acne.

Pros:

Well it made the acne less noticeable, and did not dry out my skin like other medications have, does not smell like the retina does, and has no sting. (I'm using the topical gel form)

Cons:

I think the only reason its less noticeable is because my skin is more red, more pimples are popping up, the doc says it may take 1-2 months before I see ANY results, which really makes me want to try something else

It is supposed to work for many people so I'd reccomend trying it, but if it wil actually work, I have no idea, I'm hoping so.

Pros:

gets rid of acne quickly, compared to differin or benzaclin, which you have to wait a month or so.

I am using evoclin and it seems to be working great! i haven't had much of a problem with dry skin, but i guess that depends on how much you put on.

Pros:

healed bigger blemishes

Cons:

dried my skin a bit too much, causing the occasional scaley skin

isn't really good for sensitive skin, causes sensitive skin to flake/scale which tends to make me uncomfortable when it often dries my face up

Pros:

really easy to use with little or no side effects. helps clear up acne really quick and fast.

Cons:

made my face a little dry.

it works for exactly what it is supposed to do and because the dryness on my face is so minimal, i can just use a light moisturizer.

Pros:

kils bacteria heals acne reasonably fast

Cons:

doesnt really help with the scars

i have been using this for abut a month my face used to be really sore with alot of acne it has helped nut i still get white heads here and there now im just working on the scars

I got a sample from my doctor and have been using it for a few weeks or so two times a day. It helped me with my acne but I had an abdominal pain , cramps and diarrhia . I stoped using it and everything back to normal :)including my acne .

I have been using evoclin for about a month now and my skin has actually gotten worse... I hate it. I figured that I would just keep on taking it and eventually it would work, but i'm going to stop because this product sucks...
