Amazing results!
This worked so well for my son, I am actually seeking out places to leave a positive review. We used clean and clear with salicylic acid for a couple of weeks with little improvement. I purchased this and after using it after school and in the evening, he woke up with noticeably clearer skin! After only 3 days, his face is almost completely smooth and clear!

Don't work takes more money!
Suffering from spot for many years not severe but clusters of them on times, not only did this make my spots worse but I hadn't read the small print (my mistake but who does?) which meant I had accidental signed up ad ended up paying £60 for more which I didn't even want!

terrible
Awful product. I ordered this because I am 24 and still struggle with acne and random breakouts. I was told this would be the perfect product for me. I used it for three weeks and noticed that I had blackheads all over my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. I never had blackheads before! I went to get a facial today and the esthetician told me that she has never seen skin like this before. She had to work on me for double the time to clean out my skin and pores. My skin looked awful. The product clogged up all of my pores and gave me problems that I didn't even have to begin with!!

Meh
It works like any other cleanser. It's definitely nothing special. Not worth all that money for sure.

Product not effective
This product has not helped my skin since mid March. I seem to be breaking out more than usual and i have been getting more white heads more than anything. I'm very dissatisfied with the product.

Too Expensive and Harsh Odor
I was originally shocked by the price, but thought "hey if it works, then I'll give it a try." I was using ProActiv, before, and had to ease into using it at first, but with Rodan + Fields I can't seem to get in a regular schedule: between it drying out my skin and the horrible odor of Step 1 & 2. Step 1 smells like I am getting a perm and Step 2 makes me gag each time. You would think that since you are using it on your face it would have a more pleasant smell. Not for me, great job on using your "Friends" on FB to push your product. So sad you product quality can't speak for it's self.

FINALLY
The only negative part about this product is that it does dry out your skin really bad in the beginning. But exfoliating solves that. And I have very tan skin, this product dries white so it sometimes looked like I had white paint smudged on my face. Other than those two thing this product really works. Be persistent. It took me about 1 week to notice a difference. By week 3 others started noticing. Best acne medicine/treatment I've ever used.

Horrible Company EVER!!!!
The Proactive doesn't work!!!! The truth is that the company is a big ASS lie!!!! The product makes your skin really dry, red and looks horribly!!! IT DOESN'T WORK!!!! Proactive has the worst customer service department I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They took my credit card information and after 5 months I found out that they sent me just 2 kit products and they charged me almost 400$!!!!!!!!! for nothing. After I called them and I found out that the products actually do not costs as mush as it is on commercial or on their website but cost way more much! If they're telling you that the kit with products costs 35-40$ is a totally LIE!!! After they charged me 400$ they told me that one kit with 3 products costs 130$!!!!!! The representatives were horrible, rude, and didn't give me the information I needed to clear the account. They are just liars. Proactive is a complete rip off and horrendously managed to boot. Don't waste your money. Horrible product, horrible customer service EVER, rude and aggressive!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!! I won't give this horrible company no star for review!

Never have I been so angry, not only did this product not work, it broke me out even more and made my face dry! I bought the 30 day supply, and they ended up charging for the 90 day supply. Xout sucks big time.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
