Pros:

It mitigates moderate to severe acne on my face. As long as I use it it keeps acne in control.

Cons:

It only mitigates but does not clear my face. I have finished 1 full package. It did not clear my face. After a week from I stopped using it after about 3 months or so acne started coming back on my face.

Give it a try. I paid 19 bucks.

Pros:

It's easy to use, and works SOMETIMES

Cons:

It dries out my skin, It's not worth what you pay, It's harsh on sensitive skin, it seems to not work during the summer, and makes my skin even oilier!

...It sucks. My opinion is, since i'm a teenager, is that it doesn't work for us. I've read some reviews on here, and it seems to work for older people. It may work for them, but not for teenagers...

Pros:

I'm 51 years old and this is the only product that has completely rid my face (and body) of acne. Even those tiny bumps under my skin are gone! Just soft and smooth. I love it and will NEVER go without it.

Cons:

None.

I would hate to live without this product -- or the soap that comes with it. One BIG plus about the soap... no more soap scum on my shower door and walls... have not had to scrub the shower in 4 years... just clean and shiny.

Pros:

Cons:

THIS PRODUCT INJURES YOUR SKIN AND RUINS YOUR FABRICS. IM CALLING PROACTIVE RIGHT NOW AND GETTING MY GODDAMN MONEY BACK AND MAKING THEM PAY FOR MY RUINED TOWELS.

Pros:

this treatment really actually cleared up my skin in less then 5 days, although my skin is relatively dry from the lotion it eventually was rehydrated, my skin is smoother, less red, feels very clean, and most of my acne is gone, all within five days.

Cons:

AcneFree isi very powerful an dseverely driend my skin out in the beginning, it also smells bad but people who would take the smell over the overall effectivness of the roduct are wrong, it also did't completely take my acne away, which i had hoped.

Basically, i've tried so many products, Murad, Proactiv, Clearisil, and even the Neutrogena Wave and found this the most effective. even though the smell is pretty bad and in the beginning is very dring to the skin, it really works. I have very sensitive skin and so it is really scary for me to try a new product because all the ones i've used irritate my skin, but i just used the normal AcneFree recommended to me by a friend and just followed the easy instructions, within 5 days my skin was almost cleared and softer then ever. For those of you who have sensitive or norma skin with mild acne i recommend the normal kit, and those of u who have severe acne i recommend th eSevere Acne Free Kit, i hope i was of some help.

Pros:

To be honest the only pro was getting my shipment pretty fast

Cons:

The portions are horrible, the smell is annoying, the cleanser feels uncomfortable to place on your face.

I bought my product back in 2001 and I used it for months to almost a year. Trust me washing "religiously" and being "patient" has nothing to do with this product working or not. To be frank this product doesn't work. I broke out worse. Now I went from Moderate acne to Severe instantly using this product and still am struggling with it.

Pros:

Clears skin up for the first week or two.

Cons:

just about everything. it dried my skin out really bad and it makes me break out so easily. my acne wasent that bad until it started this product, now it is horrid and in completely random places. also i have dark spots.

i highly DO NOT reccomend anyone to use this product.

Pros:

Worked well at first instantly clear skin!

Cons:

It just stopped doing anything for me.

Not for everyday use is what I would say...better for spot treatment

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
