Pros:

Cheap and quick way to get rid and reduce acne

Cons:

It bleached my clothing and pillow case

Overall, I found this product to be amazing! Within days of my first application my acne started to clear up. Albeit, my skin isn't crystal clear, it has definitely done an excellent job in helping clear it up. It does have a tendency to leave a milky film after application; however, if you use this at night it shouldn't be a problem. My only problem with this product, is the bleaching of my clothing and pillow. Other than that, I can't complain. It did exactly what was expected!

Pros:

Leaves your face feeling great. Great smell. CLEAR SKIN. Even seems to reduce wrinkles.

Cons:

None.

Get this and try it religiously, as the directions say, for 6 weeks and get back on here and write your own review! This is amazing stuff...will not go without it, ever! I am 43 and use it...it's great. I love the way it makes my skin feel!!! My 19 yo daughter is the one with the moderate acne...we tried a lot of things, but this is the only thing that completely cleared up her skin!! Try it, you WON'T be dissappointed!

Pros:

It works.

Cons:

Little pricey? This was the only thing I could think of honestly even if they charged more I would still buy it.

I've tried almost every single product on the market and FINALLY that's right FINALLY, the cure is in this product. To give you an overview of my condition I usually get pimples generally overnight and rarely during the day on and around my nose. My nose is usually red at times. This product has reduced the pimples to almost nothing at all and the redness is clearing up. The color isn't perfect but hey I'll take it! Rarely get a pimple over night now and during the day nothing at all. Do yourself a favor and at least try it. I think Carley's has a new life long customer.

Pros:

Out of everything I've ever tried including prescriptions, this worked the absolute BEST!

Cons:

Drys your face out a little but that just means it's working.

I noticed results in one day and I have never been happier with a product...

Pros:

skin felt smooth but did not look luminous at all

Cons:

drying, flaking, itchy, breakouts

Not worth the money! Over complicated process makes your face feel like a mask. If anytthing made my pimples worse. Took over a week when I left a pimple alone and just applied the lotions/masks/toner/cleanserand still not completely cleared up! I even bought the moisture plus...still really really drying.

Pros:

skin was mostly smooth, but did not help cystic acne whatsoever.

Cons:

reparing treatment dried my skin out if i used it too much, even with moisturizer. didn't work after using it for 6 or 7 weeks overall. too much work every morning and every night.

Didn't work for my type of skin or acne, but I have read about it working for others. I think it's worth a shot if you've got the money and time to use it, but I wouldn't recommend it for clearing up those deep, under the skin pimples that last a whole week or two.

Pros:

It doesn't dry out skin, dries out blemishes in a few days.

Cons:

Doesn't really prevent future breakouts, or get rid of current ones all that fast. Basically just keeps your face from getting worse.

I've used this cream for about 3 years, and it hasn't done anything for my face, I just never changed because I never knew what else to use. I just stopped using it, and started using On A Clear Day, and it's already started to clear up my skin. I think this Neutrogena product might work if you have very mild acne, or just a few blemishes.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
