Horrible product for sensitive skin-adult acne
My dermatologist prescribed this face wash to me. She said it would dry out my cystic acne in a couple of weeks. My face is literally the WORST it's ever been in my entire life. My entire chin area is covered in huge, painful pimples that hurt to the touch. As well as my upper lip area. These are normally my 'problem areas' and I never imagined they would get this bad. I cant wash those parts of my face right now without pain. My derm. basically told me oh well it happens keep using the wash. If I could upload the pics I took of my chin and upper lip area, you would see what I mean. I dont even want to leave my house it's so bad, even if I tried to go out, the pimples are so big they will just look like bumps with cover up on them. I will never EVER use this harsh garbage on my face again. On to my 5th dermatologist for my adult acne.

Made my acne waaay worse.
Made my acne many times worse. Honestly destroyed my confidence. I think about it everyday. Using the product was the worst decision I've ever made

You probably used it very wrong, you need to follow the instructions (remedy) or you are probably allergic

Allergic, but still a 5?
I ended up being allergic to the BP, but the reason I give it 5 stars still is because of the science. After the BP not working for me I went to a dermatologist who basically gave me Acne.org products. I had a different antibiotic and retin-A (basically the AHA). My skin cleared in a couple of months. Although the BP didn't work for me, I am sure it will work for others. Just make sure to always do a test patch with any products you put onto your skin!

DON"T BUY NEW FORMLA
I am breaking out from the New Formula that recently changed the inactive ingredients. I called the company to bring back the old formula and they totally dismissed my complaint. They wouldn't give me anyone to call to bring it back on the market. The company is rude and ignorant to their consumers. The old formula was the only treatment that was able to clear my acne vulgaris. I am 56 and have been using this product over 10 years and it was the ONLY product to clear my acne. The salicyic acid needs to be put back and the polymer need to be taken OUT-The NEW FORMULA's inactive ingredients are awful-it is slimey and greasy and leaves a gooey residue on your face making you feel unclean and it CLOGS YOUR POURS MAKING YOUR FACE BREAK OUT WITH LARGE POSTULES. THIS COMPANY MUST BRING BACK THE OLD PRODUCT IN ORDER TO HELP THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM SEVERE ACNE PROBLEMS. IT IS AN INJUSTICE THAT A PERFECTLY GOOD PRODUCT WAS CHANGED THAT WAS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE FOR MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM ACNE VULGARIS. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULA.

New garbage formula
Their new formula is pure garbage. Ingredients are totally different. I don't know how they can still call it 'foaming' wash. New product doesn't foam at all.

Don't bother...(negative star)
The positive reviews you see below are all for the old formulation. The old formula was magical. But they changed it. The BP cleansers available on the market now are all EXACTLY the same formula, regardless of brand. If you've tried one, then you've tried them all. The new formula will break you out...they added several comedogenic ingredients and it (naturally) stopped working for everyone.

Can you advise some of the ingredients on the old formulation which are not on the new one as I believe the last ones with the old formulation may still be in distribution and I would like to try get some before they are gone forever.

Holy Grail Product
I've only been using this for 4 days and my skin surface texture feels baby soft smooth. I have moderate acne and stubborn closed comedones on my forehead and cheeks. I've been on expensive prescription medications and topicals, tried various skincare lines & products, bought a ton of korean skincare products/acids that people claimed worked for them. Absolutely nothing worked like this product did and there was already a noticeable difference on the second day. Skin is still clearing up beneath the surface, my bumps are still there. I do have some redness and peeling currently but for me it's worth it because it's becoming so smooth. I'm very happy with this product so far. Also my skin is tolerating it well probably because I've exposed my skin to so many strong acids and products it's taking the BP like a champ and not drying me out at all so I can slather it on pretty good. I cannot wait to see what it looks like in a month or so, I'll come back for an update.

Product used: The Regimen
Scam
I would advise no one to buy this product. I followed all the instructions to the T when I bought this back in March. I placed my order on the 6th of March. I did get it quite quickly considering it was shipped to the U.K (which was ridiculous that I had to pay another couple of dollars for when I was spending so much on the kit) anyway I followed it to the T and no results at all. The products made no difference to my skin after 2 months of trying. I didn't give up because I was really upset that I would have wasted all that money for no reason. I was a bit skeptical to buy the product in the first place so I wish I went with my gut instinct and never actually purchased these. The only good thing about the whole kit I bought was the moisturiser. I do use this and it makes my skin feel nice but I'm sure I could purchase a good moisturiser in the U.K for less then £44.07.

Worked, but be careful
This was the most effective acne spot treatment I have ever used. It reduces the size and redness of my pimples. But, reading other reviews, I see a lot of people have had some bad side effects. Make sure to be careful, test the product, and moisturize after use. Also, read the warnings and directions. Would recommend to anyone looking for an effective acne spot treatment.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
