This stuff WORKS!!!
I'm a 43 year old female who has been battling moderate acne since my late 20's. I've used so many different treatments that cost a hell of a lot more than the regimen only to see no results or worse skin. Proactiv made my skin look like the before picture of a Clearsil commercial. I was at wits end so I started doing some online research to see what kind of products are out there and came upon a YouTube video showing a woman touting the benefits of The Regimen - she wasn't paid and just wanted to pass on to the public what worked for her - and she had terribly severe acne! So I thought, "why not?" I went to the website, filled out the questionnaire and bought three part "Regimen" and held my breath. I started seeing amazing results in the first week! My skin hasn't been this clear since high school. The only thing is you NEED to be vigilant and stick to the schedule - twice a day no matter what. If you "fall off the wagon" so to speak your face will react accordingly. But let me tell you, it's a small price to pay for beautiful skin. And even if you skip a couple washes and your face starts to break out, getting back into the schedule clears it up really quickly. I am a true acne.org believer and thank my lucky stars for that YouTube video every time I see my clear skin in the mirror. Thank you for doing what I thought was the impossible!!

Made acne much worse
I've had moderate acne for about 3 years now and I have tried many products which have not worked. I came across this product while looking for a new face wash to try out after the one I was using before (Bioré Charcoal Acne Cleanser) wasn't helping my skin one bit. I was overly excited when I found this product and read all of the amazing reviews. I bought the wash and after using it for the first time my skin didn't react in any way at first. I kept using it nightly and eventually about three days later my skin reacted badly. It became very red and itchy and I could literally feel the new bumps arising from my cheeks. I didn't really think much of it and just put aloe Vera all over my face and went to bed. The next morning little bumps were all over my cheeks. I was so upset and was crying. The bumps never really became actual "acne" until about a week later and my cheeks were covered in tons of little pimples. It's now like two months after that happened and the acne is still here. I'm now beginning to get larger pimples that hurt under touch. I have never reacted this badly to any product ever before. Wish I had never tried it. And btw, my skin was mostly oily at the time and was never sensitive. Good luck with clearing your skin to anyone reading this.

Completely got rid of my Acne
This gel has completely changed my skin and for the better. Around 3 years ago I started to get Acne on my back, chest and face. At the time I wasn't really bothered by this but as I grew abit older and began to care more for my appearance, the acne began to become more of a problem. This is the only available Bp in the UK so I started using this gel and within a few weeks there was a massive difference. A year and half later my skin has fully adapted to the gel. This means I no longer even need to moisturize despite using the gel and the body wash, both at the same time. It is not cheap which is certainly a downside as I use rather alot of it. The bleaching, is by far the biggest downside to this product as it will destroy anything that isn't white. Even wearing a white t-shirt will not prevent bleaching on the layer above. But overall this is a small price to pay when the result(for me at least) is completely clear skin. I would recommend washing first with the wash and then following up with the gel as the gel on its own wasn't quite enough to completely clear my back and face.

Week 3 Of Regimen
I can start off by saying I was a little skeptical about purchasing this product. I'm 28 yrs old and suffer from moderate acne pretty much my whole life. When I say I've TRIED EVERYTHING under the sun and nothing seems to work. I am currently on my 3rd week of the acne kit regimen where I am still experiencing pimples every other day but I do feel like the product is working over all. I had some severe chin acne due to a hormonal imbalance and my 1st week of using this regimen it has completely vanished ! So THUMBS UP TO THAT !!! What I will also say is that I have extremely oily skin so I feel as if the loition is way too greasy for my skin and is causing little pimples to appear every few days . I'm still sticking to it and being patient so hopefully I can start seeing 100% great results in the near future

PLEASE consult a dermatologist first
I'm 24, and I have experienced trouble with both blackheads and whiteheads since I was about 15. Epiduo and benzoyl peroxide wash kept it under control for a couple years... until I developed hormonal cystic acne when I was 22. The advice I can give to anyone battling painful hormonal cystic acne, that I wish someone had told me, is to seek professional help BEFORE investing in this kit. Not saying don't do it at all (because, R&F does indeed work for some people), but personally, I really wish I had consulted a doctor first. Especially if it is cystic and hormonal. My skin was at it's ALL TIME WORST while using this product... even after 6 whole months of using Unblemish. Also, if you have insurance, it will likely be far cheaper for you to go through a dermatologist. I wish I had known this before dropping so much money on 6 months of the regiment. For example - I now order a stronger version of the sulfur wash via prescription for less than $5 for almost a 2 months supply (it's called sodium sulfacetamide wash). Retin-A is $30, Aczone was like $15, Spironolactone costs less than $1 (prices depend on your insurance, but worth checking into!)

Give a try....
This was an ok product, It cleared my skin, from acne and acne spots. used it over 6 months... I was not breaking out as much, and my dark spots were 80% gone , however, it made my face really dark. My face was way too darker than my neck and rest of my body so it was hard to get the right make up. I stopped using it gradually and started breaking out again but not as much. I do spots treatments for the new breakout. I stopped using it because my face was getting too dark and I wanted to switch to other products to even out my face skin tone. as soon as i switched, i started breaking out again i guess it because acnee.org has made my face fragile not sure though. so right now i am in between acnee.org and the other products. my face is gradually becoming light but i still have breakouts and dark spot. I am 100 % african by the way so meaning i am black. I really wish the product did not make me black but rather just kept my normal skin stone and cleared up all my dark spots. It will be unfair to not recommend it because other people have had a good experience with it. i had my part of good experience with it but just that I made my face too dark and I did not like it.

Couldn't be happier! But you have to be patient...
I have had hormonal acne since I can remember. I'm 30 now and last year after getting off the BC pill I had a horrendous breakout that was just getting worse each month. My sister (who has also has the same skin issues) had tried unblemish last year with huge success so I finally decided to try it. You have to follow the instructions on how to start using (first every other morning, then gradually increase...instructions are included) because it will dry you out at first so you are giving your skin a chance to catch up. I saw noticeable improvement after about 3 weeks but it wasn't clear yet by any means. My sister swore that I had to stick with it because she saw absolutely no improvement for 4 months and then one day she was clear. I believed her and stuck with it (despite the hefty price tag). For me it was around month 5-6 that I was FINALLY clear! Now I use it once a day and and my skin looks great. You have to figure out what works for your skin (e.g. 1 or 2 times a day) and my biggest advice is to stick with it a full 6 months! I know that's a long time but I feel like a new person!!

worst choice I EVER made
worked fine at first, then slowly started becoming less effective, so I stopped using it. My skin FREAKED. It was so much worse than it had ever been before, I was so upset, so I went back on it. It took a few months but eventually my skin returned to the kinda-clear state it was in before I stopped using it. After that I felt pretty much addicted to it, because I was terrified of it getting THAT bad again. I used it for about 4 more years after that until this year when I finally said enough is enough. My skin wasn't clear, it just wasn't full blown ACNE, you know? But considering the price and that it basically destroys your skin, it wasn't worth it. It took so long for my skin to recover from Proactiv, I broke out like crazy, again, this time around.. I tried weening myself off but it didn't really help matters. It's taken almost 5 months, and the birth control pill, to really clear it up. ANYWAY, please please please, never use this stuff. Even if it works at first, it won't long term.

Sadly, did not work for me.
I'm nearly 20 and have struggled with acne since I was 12 or 13, whether it was typical whiteheads/blackheads or bad cystic acne. In a particularly bad period of breaking out, I desperately tried this at the recommendation of my mother (I had held off because it's not cheap and I try to save money when I can). It felt REALLY clean when I finished washing my face for the first time with this product. Unfortunately, it quickly dried out my skin. I made sure to use all of the steps but for some reason, it just continued to irritate my skin and really just didn't do a lot for the acne itself either. I even tried adding in parts of the "Soothe" regimen as well to help calm my skin, but to no avail. I think this product might work for some people, but it didn't help me personally.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
