So I got a million little superficial bumps on my forehead, temples, ear area, neck, and jaws, and eventually they spread more toward the center of my face on on my back and chest too. I stopped the Kickass and just used the natural soap for a couple days, to see if the bumps would go down; they just stayed put, no real change. Then I added in the sample of the MSM cleanser they sent for a few days, and that seemed to be having some effect, but not enough to take hold; my skin was responding really inconsistently day to day. I know that skin needs more time to get used to a new product, but I quit all Carley's after 20 days, because the bumps were starting to grow, and I couldn't risk them all turning into cysts, because that would have been a horrorshow. So, I went back to my BP regimen, and now I'm almost completely cleared up again after 4 days back on that. Phew!!!!
I have everyone in my life using these products. I have a skin condition that makes me develop cystic acne yet I have dry skin. My routine is now: AM: cleanser or warm water, sometimes micellar water, BP. PM: cleanser, occassionally AHA (but I haven't used that in awhile, returning to it with my next order). I never need moisturizer (unheard of for a person with dry, flaky skin) but I do use some eye cream. I still get blackheads and will get a pimple if I get lazy with treatment.. but those take less effort to clear than cysts. I also discovered pimple patches which also help when I feel certain spots starting to get clogged. I especially love the gentle cleanser.
I switched from using 10% for years believing this would be gentler on my skin. Boy was I wrong. I am a 50 year old male with cystic acne on my nose and chin. It was well under control using 10%. Took about a week of using this for it to recur. After a month it was horrible. Took about a week or 2 using the 10% again to get it back under control. 2.5% isn't enough for everyone.
It's pretty simple: This is the only treatment that has ever worked for me. If I am religious about it (2x a day every day) and keep good habits (fresh pillowcases daily, don't touch face, drink lots of water), my skin is consistently basically clear (or gets there in a couple weeks). It's not cheap, but it's well worth it.
I've never not been able to leave the house because of how bad my acne was, today that changed. I woke up after the first week of using this product with inflamed acne on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and cheek. Normally I don't get acne on my nose but ever since using this product I've noticed a steady increase in acne. I'm so embarrassed and school starts in less than a week. My acne has never been this abundant, painful, and large and I have no idea how to treat it. Do not but Proactive if you have sensitive skin, your skin will peel off in clumps, your acne will increase, and your skin will turn bright red from inflammation. I've never been so embarrassed in my life, I can't even wear makeup because my skin just peels off whenever I try to blend concealer over it. I was so excited to go out this weekend and now I am stuck inside.
My box arrived crushed, the products had opened and poured into the box. So I had less product and it was disappointing. The containers should be more suitable, especially for international transport. Otherwise I used this kit for 1 month and I was surprised at its effectiveness I would recommend it!
I was prescribed this by my dermatologist every morning to try and clear my mild but very stubborn acne. He suggested using this every morning because I use Tretinoin cream every night and the benzoyl peroxide make the cream less effective when used together. I have seen absolutely no difference in my skin other than the fact that I am as red as a lobster after using this and my skin is extremely dry. I would not suggest
I've been using this product once daily for about a month now. Before I started this, I had moderate to severe acne. Today, I'm so happy to say I only got one new pimple, and it's not even nearly as deep in the skin as my acne used to be.
My skin is slowly recovering from the months of horrible acne I had, and I have a lot of hyperpigmentation. Now that my acne is lessening thanks to the acne.org benzoyl peroxide treatment, I've just purchased their AHA glycolic acid product as well. I hope that'll help with the hyperpigmentation for the time being before I begin adding other treatment(s) for it.
I'm going to also add my current skincare routine as a reference for what is personally helping my skin. As a note, I have mildly sensitive, dry skin.

I was so afraid of trying the three step treatment. I bought the the cleanser peroxide and moisturizer and when i got it I was so afraid. I still have yet to use the cleanser but What my personal routine is use a gentle skin cleanser like cetaphil then apply the benzoyl. YOU HAVE TO WORK UP TO A LARGE AMOUNT. I started out using tiny amounts of benzoyl once a day at night and now i use it morning and night and im up to a marble size amount. I use it like a lotion and then moisturize. Works wonders. Will be using the cleanser soon to clear up small red marks but all my dark spots and pimples are gone!!!
I've been using this treatment for 5 years now and the only thing i regret is spending my money on other products that never worked. My skin feels great!
Try dr sebage vitamin c powder for your acne scars, it really works.
