Product used: The Regimen
Do not use this regimen

DO NOT USE THIS REGIMEN!!!

If I could rate this 0 stars I would, but it has to get 1.

I have been struggling with acne for years and I tried this regimen a couple years ago. It didn't really work because I would pick at my skin. I decided to pick up this regimen again a couple weeks ago because my face had been doing better but it wasn't completely clear yet. My face automatically started getting worse. I was breaking out with cystic pimples and so many white heads. I assumed this was my skin getting used to the products again and that it would get worse before it got better. Then after it started to get really bad after a month, I looked at the ingredients. There are so many harsh chemicals, not to mention alcohol and fragrance in these products that should NOT be going on your skin.

Not only did the regimen severely break me out, my skin was peeling and flaking off. I understand this is common for people and you have to manage how much you use the products and ease them into your routine. I did start out small with the use of benzoyl peroxide (only at night) but i would wake up with huge pimples with my skin peeling off around it. This benzoyl peroxide is 2.5% too, which is crazy it would have such a harsh reaction. I have been using 5% benzoyl peroxide for most of my life and it has never made my skin so dry.

Moral of the story: this regimen has way too many chemicals and is way too harsh on your skin. If you're really trying to clear your acne, do your research and focus on the ingredients that are in your products. They are only telling you to strictly stick to this regimen so you keep buying their products.

BUY THIS, IGNORE ALL BAD REVIEWS!!

I cannot put into words how much this product has helped my skin! I have spent hundreds of dollars on skincare and NOTHING has given me results. I am beyond happy to say my acne(which I have struggled with for two years now) is almost fully gone!! Other then my scarring of previous pimples from months ago.

DISCLAIMER: I have always had very dry skin, and the one thing holding me back from buying this was the negative reviews. This product does make your skin drier and I noticed my skin got a tiny bit flakey; It already mentions it tends to make skin dry so I was aware. It's nothing you can't fix with a good moisturizer such as Nivea.

Don't hold yourself back from this product, It works like magic. I saw results within 1-2 weeks.

Love it!!

I live in UK and the delivery was soo fast. I got it delivered within 8 days. Been using it for the past 3 weeks and I've seen such a big difference in my skin.  It does take a week for your skin to get used to the product as it stings like a bitch. First time I put it on, I honestly felt like it was burning my skin. This is my third week using it now and it doesnt burn at all and my skin as almost all cleared. I am not using the cleanser and the moisturizer from acne.org. I use Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Face Wash as it helps with the excessive dryness my skin felt due to this product. Overall I will purchase this again and I have ordered AHA Glycolic Acid which has not yet arrived yet to use instead of the moisturizer. Thanks acne.org.. This helped my skin when absolutely nothing did.

I recently bought this product but for some reason the smell tends to irritate my eyes like it’s having a burning feeling in my eyes. And on my skin as well.

No other like it

I have been using this treatment for 8 years! At first it was a little harsh, you have to give it time to work of course, but it’s amazing. I have been through so many different treatments and medicines, and this has seemed to be the only thing that works for me. My acne was at its peak around like 14-15 years old. The worst I’ve ever had it has got to me was when it covered literally every area of my face with small, but irritated and inflamed ravaged pimples. If I smiled it would hurt me. It was the worst. My teacher in high school actually recommended this to me and showed me this site. So basically after I shower (or during my shower) I wash my face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash. It’s like a face scrub and has 2.5% of salicylic acid I believe. I then pat my face dry. Sit for about a couple minutes until your face starts to get a bit smooth and soft, and then follow up with this benzoyl peroxide treatment. It doesn’t take too long, just about the same as brushing your teeth I’d say. Benzoyl peroxide is also safe to use for years for those of you that are concerned about long lasting effects.

It may be different for other people idk, but I have literally been doing the same thing for 8 years, I am 24 now. I wish I had before and after pictures, so you guys can see, didn’t take much when I was younger because I never thought I’d be making a post like this lol. My skin also isn’t perfect, I’ll have a few breakouts once in a blue moon, but it is no problem at all and think it is common among people and manageable. Also just drink water regularly of course, you should be fine!

Worked, Kind of

The product like in their website stated that my acne would flare up in the first 2 weeks, well it did, but for 3weeks lmao but point being that im in the 4th month of using it now and my acne came back worst, it did help for the first 3 months, i started using OTC products with it since i emailed them if i could put OTC Products on my face because my hyperpigmentation is really really bad, they responded with yes, use the kit for a month then i can use OTC product so i did, It improved my face alot i just exchanged the moisturizer with a CeraVe Pm moisturizer, because it had niacanamide. U Still dont know the pH of the cleanser, it would probably be acidic since the cleanser contain azeleic acid.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
