Pros:

It just works. Acne is just gone.

Cons:

It dries out your skin a bit, but everything does.

Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! I use it with a facial loofa pad and it's just amazing. Nothing else ever worked at all. Most things just made it worse. It is a godsent.

Pros:

It works, at least for a while. Maybe it will continue working this time around, maybe not. It leaves skin feeling rejuvenated and fresh.

Cons:

Is inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have used and stopped using this product 2 times before, and this is the third time that I am starting to use it again. This time, it worked wonderfully and I have used it for a week now.

My skin has very few blemishes now. I tried it about a year ago, thinking it would work because it had worked for me before and I had stopped using it. Two or three years later, my acne came back so I tried it and it didn't do anything for my skin and instead dried it out. But I decided to try it again recently because there was some lying around in the cabinet and it worked!! Weird, I just hope it continues working, tho. It is great when it works and a disappointment when it doesn't. It will have varying effects on different people. That is the bottom line .If you want to take a chance, then u should. I mean, its worth a try right?

Pros:

left my skin bright, glowing, and clear....ish.

Cons:

Didn't totally clear me up, but i wasnt expecting it to.

Like it it enought to buy again, but don't necessarily love it. aslso, nasty back acne annie, water is a neutral and therefore will not dilute the BP, instead use a base such as a moisturizer :] all you are doing by adding water to ur bp is making it well, watery

Pros:

My face freaked out when I first got pregnant. Proactive was the only thing that worked, and it worked well the first time

Cons:

I thought I would try something else after a few years and my face didn't agree with it. But when I went back to proactive, it didn't work anymore. I was told by another former user that it didn't work for her after stopping and restarting again.

Don't stop using it. Works great the 1st time, but not after you restart it.

Pros:

Works fine, help contains breakout.

Cons:

Slight irritation, makes your face slightly dry, expensive for a small tube. Doesn't really have a nice fragrance. Used finish fast even if you're just using 1/3 of a finger amount.

Since it's white, you seriously need to have a pack of tissue around to wipe that "white sweat". It's clear when you sweat. So, in any case, use it at night is better instead of using it when you're going out. For some, it might be slightly irritated on your face and itchiness. Some will feel the dryness as well, for me I felt that and my skin felt tight as well. It's expensive though for a small tube, you will probably finish it if you use it everyday in a month, one time every day. Over at my country, it's around SGD11 but it sure works and together with other product for my CSR progress is well under my budget.

Pros:

Has a nice smell
Nice Packaging

Cons:

Dries the skin like mad
Stop using it and suffer

Overall I would say that it worked at first for moderate acne, then stopped working. Skin never got 100% clear. It's a complete waste of time and money.

Pros:

-dries out the pimples I had

Cons:

Far too drying for me. Wouldn't recommend it for those with mild/moderate acne like me. Turned my face bright red in a very blotchy way, and flaky. Maybe if you only put it on active pimples, and then wash it off, it might be ok.

Wouldn't recommend to those with sensitive or combination skin, even with tons of moisturizer it is just too drying. It's been over a day since I last used it and my skin still looks awful. If you do buy only put it on active pimples, I tried putting it on areas where I often get pimples and have oil issues but that was obviously a mistake. I guess if you'd rather have bright red, scaly, blotchy, itchy skin over pimples then try it...but there must be a better option. PS the stuff I bought was only 5% BP.

Pros:

This product need time to really kick in the skin and depends on severity of your acne

Cons:

If you use it on your body and dont wash it properly it may bleached your blouse or shirt

I have been battling acne since I was 22, and now I am coming 28, and start my face become severe around 2006. I have been doing all kind of medications and researchs, and from the review and e bay I found this product and give it a try. It has been 3 months now and it is progressing very well, the severity of my acne is greatly reduce. i used to have active pimples each day.. around the jaw line and cheeks now it does mellow down and hopefully clear up for another few months... once you try it it does balanced your skin and u will notice how your skin improve day by day. The only sad thing I feel is that this product has its competition with in this website.. so when reading the review statement.. trust your instinct, do not get down when you read some review saying that this is not a good product, I am sure 80% will get improve on their skin if you use this product. U might be easily fell into the 80% rather than the 20% :)

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
