Pros:

Makes skin brighter and smoother after first use, and eventually clearer
Skin feels clean after use
Automatic shipping relieves the worry of running out

Cons:

Smell, but it's not unbearable
Skin doesn't clear overnight
Cannot get lazy or skip a day

This product works. I definatly recommend it. It can be pricey, but it's worth it. My acne used to be moderate and now it's very light.

Pros:

Cons:

i used it for two months and my face was fine. i dont really care about the smell. but when i stopped using it my acne came back and im not doing so good now.

proactive, in my opinion is great. it works just fine. got rid of my acne, cleared up my face, and my skin felt great. even my friends told me i looked alot better. my acne isnt that bad, its just i hate having it. i stopped using it and now im breaking out more often and its a hassle. im going to get it again. just because i want my acne to go away. if its going to cost some extra money oh well. i cant stand acne.

Cons:

Everything!! It is expensive, smells bad, burns your skin and doesn't really work!

I was very disappointed in this product. I thought that it would work (especially because it is so expensive) but it really didn't. I ended up with about the same amount of acne but with more oily skin. The mask smells horrible (sulfer) and the smell doesn't go away even after you wash your face. After you first purchase the product you automatically have new shipments sent to you (paid for out of your bank account). It also burns like nothing else the first couple times you use it (i tried to get my boyfriend to put a little on his face to see if it burned him too but he refused).

Cons:

It made my face worse for a few weeks, but then it cleared a little, but only stayed that way for a week or so.

Proactiv is NOT something that worked for me... try something else!

Pros:

-makes you feel clean

Cons:

-isn't consistent

I used proactiv for about 5 months and it worked the first 3. i stopped using it for a day and my face COMPLETELY broke out really bad. The reason why is because when you use an exfoliating cleanser twice a day, its actually creating more oil.

Pros:

These products work, they ar inexepensive, east to use...all you have to do is follow directions...my skin has never been better

Cons:

none

I have used these products for a little over 7 months and my skin looks and feels so good. My adult acne has been far more severe than the ance I had as a teenager and within 2 weeks of using these products my skin was and still is clear and smooth. The moisturizers are WONDERFUL and do not break out my skin or clog my pores. The natural soap is the only soap I use for my face and body and I only use Carley's moisturizers....what drew me to these products are they are natural, no fragrances and really inexpensive compared to other products...Yes I highly recommend all of your products...I have used most of them...love the lip balm...no more cracking, dry lips...the Kukui body lotion is the best body lotion and I have ever used ...facial moisturizers are a miracle for me..I have tried so many other brands and they all broke out my face...not your products..They are simply PERFECT!!!..I even have my husband using your products..now that is a miracle!!

Pros:

All natural, Vegan, EXCELLENT customer service

Cons:

None at all really...

Bottom line is that this stuff is AMAZING! I've used SOOOO many regimens that never worked for me. I've had acne since I was 13. Now at 18 I FINALLY, yes, FINALLY found something and it is the best feeling in the world. I have pretty severe acne, and I only wish I would have found this stuff sooner. It is the best of anything I've ever used. Feels great, smells great, and DOES great. By the way, for me it is really important to use it exactly as it tells you to. At first I used it without using the natural soap that came with it...didn't notice very great results. I talked to Steve Wills (the inventor of this miracle) and he told me it's important to use the soap...I had immediate results after that...literally. I highly recommend this product, especially because of the excellent customer service and no time limit guarantee (and yes, that includes your shipping price as well). :-)

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
