Pros:

Made my skin feel very clean and worked very well for the first 2 weeks.

Cons:

After the first two weeks my acne (which isn't bad at all) was worse than it has ever been. I had acne in places I hadn't before.
I am still working on repairing the damage it has done to my cheeks.

Product is not effective and is very expensive.

Pros:

Gentle, Quick/Easy to use, it WORKS!

Cons:

Drying, Runny

I am VERY sensitive to benzoyl peroxide but its the only thing that has kept my skin clear. BP creams/gels are often too irritating, leave me shiny & i have to avoid touching my face because of bleaching. This product is simple, i wash my face with it morning & night, then moisturize with cetaphil & i'm good for the day! I saw improvement within the first 3 days. My face is completely clear & my clogged pores are disappearing. I thought the wash wouldnt work because it doesnt leave the BP on my skin for long enough but thats proven wrong because i see a huge difference, Its gentle, easy to use and rinses easily and completely. There are minimal ingredients in it which is good because there is little to no irritation. The only cons is that its drying which is common with any acne product, but with a good moisturizer (which should always be used anyways) there is no problems with dryness. The product is a little runny which makes it rinse easily. With a pump dispenser it would b

Pros:

It really helps reduce your spots in size, and I guess with the bleach the scar will lighten eventually.

Cons:

Nothing really its great, If i'd used it when I had my first ever spot, I would never have got any more. ahwell, today counts got to keep going, yeah only dries the area youve used it on very slightly though.

Why have people paid for it, my doctor prescribed mine. so it was free from the chemist.

Pros:

Variety of natural products - not just for acne sufferers, although I'd say this is their main product.
Exceptional quality, exceptional price, exceptional customer service.
Wonderful all the way around!

Cons:

The rose eye cream irritates my eyes but then I have sensitive eyes and this is not unusual.

Try it. Don't debate. Just try it. If you go to the website or to ebay you will see hundreds of testimonials regarding the effectiveness of this product and what a godsend it is for people. The price is much less than what you pay for most other acne products and it lasts a long, long time. This is an extremely good value for the money. While you are at it, don't hesitate to try their other products. My favorites are the anti aging products, especially the cream. My skin loves it and I look good immediately after application.

Pros:

works really well, very fast acting, peels off a layer of your skin to reveal glowing, noticably healthy skin

Cons:

since it strips ur skin it makes ur face tight, red, itchy for a while. I used the gel when my face was still stripping...bad idea. It felt like my skin was on fire and i cudnt go in the sun for 2 days.

fastest working product i have ever tried started working within 24 hrs. yielded beautiful glowing skin. NO more bumps. My spots are coming out. I feel confident and sexy again.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
